Welcome all, to the 3rd year of the Harry Potter Seeker Awards! I'll be recruiting publicly for judging this year, so for everyone interested: stay tuned. Otherwise, buckle in for another year of completely new stories! 

☽ ༓  RULES  ༓ ☾

1. Add this book to your reading list and private library! This is important so you can stay updated on the progress of these awards 😊

2. Only accepting completed stories or 15+ chapters for entries (unless it's a completed one-shot or short story, which you should specify in your submission). If it's a work-in-progress, you must have at least  15 fully published chapters, not including the author's notes.   

3. Follow adharyn (yours truly) for the duration of these awards! Most of my casual announcements will be done through my personal feed because I don't want to clutter the chapters in the book. This is just to ensure that you get all those important announcements as they come out. You can unfollow after the awards- no hard feelings.      

4. Maximum of 1 story entry per writer. Unless you want to enter the 2nd story in the "short stories" category. 

5. You cannot enter a story you entered in a previous year's Seeker Awards (even if it did not win).    

6. Once accepted, add the hashtag #seekerawards to your story so we can better consolidate the entries and you all can have easy access to a great collection of HP fanfics!  

 Entries will only be assessed in the "snitches" chapter, and only when submitted in the correct format. Any submissions on any other chapter will immediately be deleted! 

☽ ༓ 2021 FORMAT ༓ ☾

➾ 10 stories per category 

Marauder's Era
Stories that are primarily set in the Marauder's Era from 1970s-1980s. Must include canonical characters such as Sirius, James, Remus, Peter, Lily, Severus, Regulus, Lucius, etc. 

Golden Era
Hogwarts-centered stories set in the 1990s! They can revolve around Harry, Hermione, and Ron or the Weasleys, or Malfoy, or anyone else who went to Hogwarts during that time. Can include any post-war 8th-year fics!   

War Stories
Stories that (for the large part) are about wartime. Can be the war against Voldemort or even Grindelwald Era.  

Post-War Era
Stories after the defeat of Voldemort depicting our favorite characters in their adult lives! 

Next Generation
If anyone from Harry's generation has kids- it's a next-gen fic! These stories should mainly revolve around the kids! If the main focus is still on the adults, it likely goes in the Post-War Era.    

Short Stories
Any COMPLETED story under 15,000 words!

➾ I'm open to adding or consolidating categories based on interest and the number of entries. 

➾ Obviously many stories would qualify for multiple categories, so when submitting a story in the "snitches" chapter, list all categories that might be appropriate for your story in order of 'most relevant' to 'this is a side element.'  

➾ Read the "snitches" chapter CAREFULLY before trying to submit an entry. I don't like disorder. And I don't like answering questions that have already been explained clearly.
