"well other than her being a bit small ,and blind, everything seems to be in order" the nurse said.

yes your heard me right... nurse. I was now getting my first leaf village health check up in the resident hospital. why? because when Yoshino, my mother, found out that I hadn't had one yet she held nothing back (YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU HAVENT CHECKED TO SEE IF MY BABY IS ALRIGHT YET AND TOOK HER STRAIT TO ANBU!!!!!! you should have had all that done as soon as she entered this village) you know... mothers.

"im sensing there is a 'but' in there somewhere" father mentioned notably crossing his arms. 'hey im getting better at this chakra vision thing'

"nothing gets past you does it Nara-sama" she chucked "well when we checked out her throat it seem to be damaged beyond our ability to repair properly" she sighed but continued so she wasn't interrupted " she'll be able to speak just not often and not loudly, if she talks to much her voice will most likely give out for a few hours or possibly days afterwards. shes probably already figured this out but it most likely hurts quit a bit when she uses her vocals." they all look at me and I nodded a bit confirming her theory. It does hurt at least someone knotaced

dad nodded a bit "alright thank you" with that they let me up and handed me a pair of new cloths to change into so we could go. I stepped into the bathroom and with moms help figured out how to put everything on.

"we need to take you shopping" she said as she brushed my hair back "and get you a hair cut. "

and we did just that, getting me a comfortable yet 'cute' outfit that I have no idea what it looks like. but mom and dad seem to like it.

by the time we got me to my new home it was dark "alright shikamaru she's going to have to stay in your room with you tonight tell we can get the other room fixed up"

"oh man" he groaned but didn't protest farther..

"oh and Choza will be coming over early tomorrow so her an Choji can get to know each other before school"

we nodded before mom added "that mean no sleeping in, you have to be up in time to get a good breakfast and shower in"

me, Dad and Nii-san collectively groan "great now I have to deal with three of them" she mumbled before shooing us al off to bed.

"UP YOU LAZY BUMs" the banshee screeched WAY to early in the morning. ok I guess its not polite to call my mother that but I didn't say it out loud so im good.

she shook me and Nii-san awake causing us to fall off the bed getting a "UGH" from the both of us. with that she left but I could have sworn I heard he yell down the hall "SHIKAKU NARA IF YOUR NOT UP IN TIME TO SET THE TABLE ILL DRAGG YOU OUT HERE PERSONALY, I DONT CARE IF YOUR IN YOUR BOXERS." followed by a collection of crashes and bangs.

i shivered but managed to get up off the ground before Nii-san and headed to the bathroom, it took me longer than it probably should have because I had to figure out where everything was first but I managed.after a rigorous search for the soap and trying to find the shampoo I finished up and left. when I got out I felt shikamaru drag himself in after me and turn the water in about the time I got out into the hallway.

making sure to keep one hand on the wall to guide me down the stairs to the family room where mom and dad sat on the couch. "come here Yoshi ill brush your hair out for you sweaty" she padded the floor in front of her. I made my way over to her carful not to hit anything well doing so. After I sat down in front of her, Glad I didn't stumble over my own feet sence I'm still trying to adjust to this whole can't see thing. . she ran the brush through my hair once before saying "of course you got your fathers hair, never any knots in it, always easy to comb." she sighed before continuing anyway. " well the others should be here in about an hour" mom says as I sense Nii-san coming down the stairs. "ill be in the kitchen, if we are going to have the Akamichi's over ill need to do a lot more cooking"

with that she headed off. leaving me and the boys. that's when dad piped up "well Yoshi I think its time we teach you how to play shiogi. I mean it is a big part of being a nara" he clapped his hands together and got out the board

"wait dad" shikamaru questioned "shes blind how you gonna do that"

dad looked at shika and then to me "well yesterday I found out that Yoshi here can sence chakra, maybe not all that well yet but shes getting there" he continued "so for each piece of the shogi board ill add a different amount of chakra too , so theoretically she can see what shes doing" and so began my first shogi lesson. I didn't even know you could add chakra into things.. I mean even somthing as simple as a shogi piece

in the next half hour I will have been taught all the basics of the game and am now playing agenst Nii-san.
, dad watching us carefully. father was about to speak up right as there was a nock on the door "ill get it"

a seconed later daddy came back into the room followed by Choza who I reconized by chakra signature , his wife who is standing beside him, and a little boy about Nii-sans age but taller and built fairly heavy like his father.

choza came over to inspect the game well his son went to greet shikamaru. "well it seems these to have different strategy types" he commented after a moment "neither is losing or gaining ground there about matched" strategy types? I wondered

I looked over confused, Nii-san doing the same. as the boy beside him looked at me as if he was trying to remember something. seeing our expressions dad explained "you see well shikamaru seems to be good at moving pieces around and simply trying to out smart his opponents much like I do, Yoshi here dose things a bit different " he paused looking at me "you my dear you seem to be master.. or a master in the making, of breaking and messing with your opponents strategy no matter how effective it is, placing your pieces not to plan an attack, but too defend your pieces and intercept shikamarus plans so they cant be put into place."

"ya I noticed that" Nii- san said "shes already ruined about 4 of my plans before I could even put them into pace" he huffed a bit frustrated.

"ahhh" choza said as his wife went to help mom set things up " so your a good at getting into the mindset of your enemy and stop what they do before it happens, a usfull skill"

"yes the only problem is its one you have to think of on the spot," father sighed "you cant think of anything to do tell your opponent acts first. You can't counter a strategy if there's nothing to counter. " he stated

"stop being such a downer shikaku," the large man hit dads shoulder "oh yes I haven't introduced you yet, Yo-chan this is my son Choji " since when does he call me yo-chan... oh well " Choji this is shikakmaru's little sister Yoshi, you used to play together a lot as toddlers"

"pa told me that you are blind is that true" he said waving a hand in front of my face causing the adults to laugh well Nii-san caught his hand to make him stop.

"yep" I smiled "i may not be able to see you but im working on being able to sense you" I said happily "its good to meet you choji your dad talks about you a lot. "

a small bit of chakra rose to the faces of choza and choji so they both seemed to be blushing. "nice to meet you too yo-chan , umm are your going to be in our class this year?" at this I shrugged

thankfully dad knew the answer "yes she will be,though she is younger than you ive asked to keep my kids together as to make up for the lost time Yoshi here was gone" he ruffled my hair a bit

"daddy" I wined " mom just brushed that" I pouted a bit attempting to flatten my hair best I can

"Now why dont you kids go out back,we will call you in once breakfast is ready" dad and choza began pushing us out the door. Once we where on the porch father added "shikamaru keep an eye on your sister she's still adjusting" and closed the door.
