♚ Prologue: Red ♚
The morning began as almost any other day would. The sun rose at 6:00 am like always, the alarm blasting the annoying beeping noise through the room.
The sun began to shine its rays through the small cracks in the curtains of the dimly lit room. The red curtains moved in a calming and soothing motion along with the fan.
The heat during that summer had been intense, the peach and white tones of the room having a calming and cool effect. Trash littered the floor of the room, a guitar resting against a wall next to a desk flooded over with clothes and paper.
In the center of the room, the bed rested under the window, the blankets being thrown to the floor in an attempt to cool down in the summer heat. In the remains of the blankets laid a boy.
Pale in tone, his black hair a mess of wavy locks covering his face. His clothes had been removed and thrown to the floor with the blankets, his boxers the only thing left on.
The sound of the alarm finally made it to his ears, waking the soon to be a 17-year-old boy from his sleep. He groaned in annoyance, his pale hand reaching over and throwing a bottle and some candy wrappers to the floor as he searched for the alarm clock.
Upon finding the annoying white clock, he slammed his hand down and threw it to the ground. He sighed softly, a ghost of a smile forming on his face as he buried it in his pillow.
"Alright come on, I set the alarm for you to wake up. Not so you can smash it to pieces and go back to sleep." A deep voice broke the boy from his rest.
He lifted his head up from the pillow and looked back at the door, his piercing eyes glaring at the other boy. "And may I ask, why am I getting woken up so early?"
"It's not early," He spoke too soon as the same white alarm clock was thrown at his head.
"It's 6 in the morning, you bloody idiot." The boy said, lifting himself up into a sitting position.

The other boy sighed softly, running a hand through his brown hair. "Well, I apologize. However, we have a group hang out to go to and I'm not going to be late again because of your lazy ass. So get up."
He groaned in annoyance, "Another one? Can't she give me some time to rest? The summer is almost over and I just want to sleep."
"Well, then you shouldn't have been out at that club all night then." The other boy said, walking over a pile of clothes to the messy closet.
"Oh yeah, how did I get home anyway?" He asked the brunette as he watched him closely.
"You must've been really drunk. I went with you and I drove you home." He said, grabbing random stuff from the closet and throwing them at the boy on the red bed. "Now go and take a bath. You reck of alcohol and she won't be too happy with you if she finds out."
The boy huffed and pulled the shirt off his head. "Well thank you."
The brunette just nodded. "When you're done, come downstairs. I made breakfast." He turned around and went to leave the room.
"Hey, wait." The brunette stopped and turned back around. "I want a kiss."
The brunette sighed and walked over, kissing his lips softly. He pulled away, looking into the eyes of the pale boy. "Your lips taste like beer."
The pale boy just shrugged. "You said I was drunk so obviously I must taste like whatever I was drinking. Now go. I must bath in peace."
The brunette just sighed. "As you wish, Prince Collin." He said with a strong tone of sarcasm.
Collin pouted, finding the tone of his voice amusing. "Meany. See ya, Hamilton." He said with a smirk as the brunette left, enjoying the irritated look the other boy gave him.
Collin sighed softly as the big dark wood door closed behind The brunette. He reached over the side of his bed and threw down the pills of trash on his nightstand.
He grabbed the bottle of pills and popped three in his mouth, getting up from his bed and heading into his bathroom.
He hooked up his phone to his speakers, scrolling down through his playlist.
Collin placed the clothing on the side of the sink and filled up his tub with cold water and bubbles.
He started to play his best playlist, the first song that played was from his favorite artists Billie Eilish.
Collin stopped the rushing off the water and sat in the tub filled with cold water. His tense muscles instantly relaxed as soon as he sat down in the cold water.
He listened to the soothing sound of Billie Eilish, the calming yet ominous music relieving him of his stress.
As Collin melted into the cold water and the soothing music, memories of the previous night began to flash through his mind.
The flashing lights, the alcohol bottles being passed around, the games. It was one of the best nights of the summer by far.
Collin sighed happily as he relaxed his tensed muscles. He hadn't realized how much his head was pounding until now that the pain was gone.
"Stupid hangover.." He mumbled under his breath as he finished his bath and got dressed. He stared into his eyes as he fixed his messy waves and slipping his red leather jacket over his white shirt.
Collin stepped out into his room and searched for his glasses, the red-tinted circle specs not only needed for him to see but also to add to his look.
Proud of his work, Collin headed downstairs. He rubbed his head softly, running a hand through his hair. He walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table.
"So Alex, are you going to hang out with your friends?" Collin asked, looking up at his boyfriend
Alex just looked at the shorter boy with a straight face. "Collin, they're your friends too. They miss you, you should come back."
Collin ate his eggs, looking up at Alex with a worried expression. "You know I can't. It's been two and a half years, they won't forgive me for leaving."
Alex sighed and put the dirty dishes in the sink. "Fine. Whatever. Your keys are in the living room, I'll see you later."
With that, Alex left. Collin waited for the sound of Alex's car leaving to get up. As soon as he heard the engine, he trashed his leftovers and headed into the living room to grab his keys.
Collin grabbed a small flask of beer and his keys, chugging half of it down and heading outside. He locked the doors and made his way over to his car.
He could feel the summer breeze through the rips in his red jeans as his white sneakers hit the pavement towards his car.
Collin stepped into his car, sitting there for a second before turning it on and heading out to the plaza. He lived fairly close to the beach, the town of Riverside being largely populated by rich people.
He wasn't exactly rich, but more so adopted by a very rich family. Everyone in that town was rather rich, Riverside being a very expensive place to live.
The young boy arrived at the plaza, parking in the parking lot by a mall. He stepped out into the street, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his jacket.
Collin arrived at the central park, seeing the bustling streets filled with people on vacations, friends spending time with friends or family, and people heading on their way to work.
He found it amazing how people always followed such a simple routine. All of them following a simple command that has been imprinted in their mind.
Collin took out his phone and scrolled through his contact list. He stopped at the name Princess followed by three pink hearts. He clicked call.
The phone rang once before a slightly annoyingly high pitched voice answered.
"Collin heyyyyyy!!! Where you at?"
"I'm at the plaza. Where you guys at?" Collin asked, looking around for his friends.
"Wait there, We'll come to you!!" The voice said, before hanging out and leaving the British boy alone.
He started off at the ocean, watching the calm waves of the ocean crash against the shore. The sun rose over the horizon, painting a beautiful picture.
Collin broke away from his dazed state when he heard in the distance the sound of the laughs from his friends.
He smiled softly as he headed over to the talking. Coming closer to towards him were four people.
Collin knew them all well. They had all been friends since his Sophomore year when he attended that party. The party that changed his life.
The first member of the group and the second shortest, after Collin, was Seanna Evans. One of the richest at the whole school. Dark curly locks with Chocolate skin, she was envied by most for her beautiful, By others for her skills.
The second female in the group, Victoria Rains or just Vickie. Pale with dark locks and her pale green eyes made her seem like she was always watching, always judging. She was praised by many.
The third member, Chad Lennard. Brown locks and the most intense look in his Chocolate eyes. He was one of the most handsome guys at Riverside High. He's a charmer that one. He was liked by everyone, being the captain of the swim team.
The fourth member of the group, Ryzanthus Mobius. He always had a sense of evil around him. His dark eyes were filled with evil and darkness to them. He was feared by many. When he was around, everyone was always on edge.
The fifth member, Caius Malfoy. Blonde, tall, mysterious glint in his pale eyes. He was imitated by many, all wanting to be as calm and collected as him. He always seemed like he had his life under control.
And finally, himself, Collin Potter, the sixth and final member of the group. He was short, shorter than Seanna. Dark wavy locks and beautiful eyes that were so unique and set him apart from everyone in Riverside.
Collin made it over to the group, as soon as he arrived he was engulfed in a hug by Seanna. "Collin, my little poppy!! How are you? I hope you're feeling better, you got soooooo drunk last night!" She said, her annoyingly high pitched voice ringing in his ears.
Vickie laughed, her slightly deeper voice causing a slight ominous tension around them. "Sea, you're suffocating him."
"It's Seanna. She's always suffocating people." Chad spoke up, laughing along with Seanna.
"Well, let's not get too distracted! It's a special someone's 17th birthday and we are going out to celebrate!" Seanna exclaimed out loudly.
Collin's eyes widened. He had completely forgotten today was his birthday. And Alex... Did he forget? He didn't question it any further, forgetting about the strange thought.
"Now let's go partyyyyyyyyyyyy!!" Seanna exclaimed out loud excitedly. "Caius, sweetie, you're okay with being our driver right? Since we did all come here in your car."
"I came in my car so I'm not gonna drink too much," Collin said, although that might as well be a big fat lie.
The group burst out laughing. "Good one, Collin." "Yeah, I'd like to see that happen." Where some of the casual things being thrown around.
Collin smiled softly, thankful he can joke around like this with such a happy and carefree group of people. Rich, Happy, and Healthy. No secrets at all...
Collin stumbled out of his scarlet red sports car, tripping over his feet as he walked up to the front door of his house a couple hours later.
He promised himself that he wouldn't drink too much or at all. He's surprised he didn't get pulled over, but what would he expect. Security in Riverside wasn't that great and the police were terrible at their job.
He couldn't believe it was already 8:30 at night and he spent the whole day at the club. Of course, he wasn't exactly complaining. That was the best not planned birthday party ever.
He fumbled with his keys as his struggle to focus on one thing at a time. He was gonna have the worst hangover ever in the morning.
Collin groaned as he felt his headache get increasingly worse the longer he tried to focus on his keys.
He finally got hold of the right key and let himself in, tumbling into his living room and throwing himself onto the couch.
His adopted parents were rarely home, both having jobs that occupied the majority of their time. He always spent time out, hating the feeling of being alone.
He always filled the empty void of loneliness with alchemy and partying. He never messed with drugs, already being on so many due other reasons.
Collin groaned softly and pushed himself off the couch, making his way upstairs. He trotted up the stairs and made a right turn into his room.
He tripped about his room over trash just lying around, making his way over to his bed. He stripped down to his underwear, falling face first onto the comforting red sheets and cuddling up with the white blankets.
He reached over his bed for two of his many pill bottles, grabbing a bottle of painkillers and sleeping pills. He popped in his mouth two of each and swallowed them, soon after drifting into a peaceful sleep.
His phone left downstairs continued to ring through the night. Leaving him with many, many missed calls.
