6 The Little Things in Life

POV Jack

North made me and Elsa to fix the mess we made in his secret place. It will take us a whole week to reconstruct the traps and other things. Gladly we could do it straightly from ice and we didn’t need to carve it with his tools like he suggested. Actually he tried to force us. When he left us behind of the locked doors, me and Elsa stared at each other, then we laughed and she kicked the tools to a corner. Our powers of ice and snow will make this happen a lot more faster than in a week!

“What he can’t see, he can’t know,” Elsa smirked and fixed the floor that was in ice crumbles after a log covered in ice spikes had rolled on top of it. From time to time we had to pretend like we would actually use the tools when North brought us food.

What a way to spend a holiday without our children. Not what I actually had planned, I mean I had planned to sneak peek on the naughty list. On the other hand getting trapped wasn’t included in my to-do-list with Elsa.

I touched the wall with my staff and smiled while I watched the frost run from under the place where it touched on the walls surface. When it went to ceiling the shimmering ice spikes formed on the ceiling. Deadly but beautiful. “Guess who,” I felt a gentle pressure around my waist when my eyes got covered. That soft voice I would know always.

“Trying to sneak up to me? Huh?” I turned around and saw Elsa standing there. “Mind helping me out?” She nodded behind of her. There was a snowball, it was taller than I am. It was the T-rex of all snowballs! I walked to it and touched it, I cocked my eyebrow and glanced at Elsa. “Bit overdone snowball?” I laughed to her and felt how some snow splat to my face.

“Haha! Really funny Frosty!” She smirked to me and I chuckled while I wiped the slush snow from my face. “So, how may I help you?” I bowed to her while looking her straight into her eyes whole time. “Freeze it,” she went to that snow ball and her hand slide on its surface. “Why?” I laughed.

She walked towards me in her sassy and classy way with her hips moving side to side, “Just do it.” Her finger touched my nose and frosted it. My fingers quickly wrapped around her wrist, “Why?” I asked from her warmly while I watched her blue eyes that were playful looking.

“You exploded it my dear-,” she smiled to me, “-the rolling ice ball that almost crushed us.” Oh.. Now I remember! The memory made me laugh hard and I had to hold my stomach. She pushed me from my shoulder, “Do it already Jack! Or we will be here rest of this year!” She giggled and I winked my eye to her.

This one is going to be tricky. I spread my legs in front of the gigantic snowball and my both hands touch it’s surface. Changing something’s form is always a challenge. Object this big needs a lot of power and I also need to find a way to freeze it from the inside out. Elsa is looking at me with curious look. I close my eyes and try to imagine the snow balls center where I will begin the process.

“Yes!” I yelled. Now I had found it, the center. For a moment I let go of the snow ball and rubs my hands together before placing them back. “Watch and admire,” I laugh to Elsa and smirk to her. “Well, I am watching,” she cocked her eyebrow.

I closed my eyes and my thoughts return to the center. First snowflake that is trapped in the middle reached my mind. I open my eyes with a flash when I turn it into an ice crystal. The ball is now crystallizing from the center, snowflake by snowflake. Half way finished.

My feet are now feeling little numb and exhaustion is filling me, I grunted and lost my balance for a moment. “Take a break Jack,” Elsa sounded worried when she was supporting me from my back. “I can do it,” I said to her and I tried hard not to be panting. “Let me help you,” she smiled and touched the snowball.

“Oh, I see how you’re doing it!” She yelled in excitement and I smiled to her. Suddenly I felt how her power was approaching the snowball, flowing inside of it and bursting from the middle. Our powers combined, making the snowball turn into an icy death roller. It was transparent looking and quite beautiful. “This is better than before!” She squealed and I watched her in misbelieve. “You saw the first one?”

She laughed, “Yeah, from too close. It sure took some time for you to destroy it!” Her words made me smile. “Get it to where it belongs. Please?” She was playing with my hoodie’s strings and pushed me against the ice ball. “Uh, sure,” I blushed and then felt her lips against mine.

My hand went behind of her back, making sure that she wouldn’t get away from me. I lifted her up in my arms and we were still kissing, she bit my lower lip and I chuckled while she did that. “The ice ball?” She whispered to my ear which made me shiver. “Uh..yeah, that..” I waved my other hand in the air and the ice ball rolled in the corridors, then I did a wave to the left and it went to behind the trap door. Where it belongs.

“Done,” I whispered to her ear and felt her kissing my neck. I saw how she lifted her hand and made a tickling style of movement with her fingers. She did a huge pile of snow. “What now?” I chuckled to her and then she leaned back while holding her arms around my neck. I lost my balance and we both fell to that snow pile. We laughed while we layed there side to side.

Then our laughter ended, we were watching each other and smiling with love. My hand rested on her cheek and I blew a hair strand away from her face. She blushed and cupped my face between her hands, she kissed me again. It made me held my breath and my heart was fluttering.   Our fingers clasped together, we were here together. Me and her, she would be mine always. The night was ours.

The next morning started with awkward way. “Good mornin’!” Bunny came in from the secret backdoor with his back first. Elsa covered herself with my hoodie. “Hi Bunny,” I smirked to him when he turned around. “NO!” He gasped, “You two are REALLY inappropriate!” He dropped the tray holding our breakfast to the floor and covered his eyes with his ears. “Sorry?” I laughed and Elsa giggled.

Elsa stood up, after her first reaction of shock she had done herself an ice dress. I put on my hoodie and stood up also, I kicked my staff to air from the ground and my hand catch it. “I think we’re done with the repairs? Right my snow dove?” I grinned deviously to Elsa who held her hand in front of her mouth while trying to avoid bursting into laughter. “Yes, I believe so also,” she laughed and hugged Bunnymund.

“You’re so sweet Bunny,” Elsa told to him and gave a quick kiss to Bunny’s cheek. It made Bunny to let go of his ears and he was smiling to us. “No problem mate! I mean, Elsa,” Bunny laughed. Elsa left the secter hideout and I walked past Bunny. My hand patted Bunny’s shoulder when I was facing him, “This time I forgive you for stealing a kiss from my wife!” I laughed and he shrugged his shoulders. The door leaded us to North’s workshop. “Oh! So it would have been so much easier from this backdoor!” I gasped and Elsa cocked her eyebrow to me. I got now an angry glance from a yeti who is called Phil.

POV Emma

We had a nice dinner tonight, me and Jackie with aunt Anna and uncle Kristoff. Sofia was laughing hard with Jackie. They get along so nicely, I am like an outcast sometimes when it comes to them. I guess it is because I am younger than my brother and my cousin Sofia.

I am in my guestroom that used to be my old bedroom. I look at my reflection and see an unfinished woman staring back at me. Sofia looks more like a woman now, I am thirteen and I can’t wait to be older. Even her dressing table has been filled with lovely perfumes and makeup. Mine is quite empty, I sigh.

I brush my hair and look at my image. My blue eyes stare back at me, same as my parents eyes. “Should I do something to my hair?” I touched my hair and ran my fingers on it. I hear how the door opens. “Hi Emma!” It was Sofia who was smiling widely. She looked much like her mother but had her father’s hair color.

“Hi Sofia,” I smile to her when I put the comb to my dressing table. “Oh! You’re doing your hair!” She squealed and run to me. Her hands were now brushing my hair. ”Can I do it, please!” Her hands fell over my shoulders and her cheek pressed against mine. We were looking at each other from mirror. “Fine,” I giggled to her.

She took the comb and brushed. She lifted some of my hair from the top, divided it into three strands. She was braiding my hair. She looked focused while doing it. “Done!” She yelled in excitement after few moments. I looked to the mirror while she held a smaller mirror behind of my back. She had done me French braiders like my mum has.

“I think it suits you!” She smiled to me and I nodded. It really looked good. “I brought my favorite perfume!” She giggled and sprayed it into my neck. “Whoa! It smells good!” I said to her when a mix of vanilla and orchids scent rushed in my nose. “Yeah! You can have this bottle, I have more of them.” She gave me a hug, “I’ve missed you both so much!” She held my hands, “Tomorrow pyjama party? You and I? No boys invited?” I laughed to her and agreed.

After Sofia left I stayed awake. I had a reason, a reason that no one could understand. The whole castle was sleeping. I went to my window and threw some vine seeds to ground and asked them to grow. Soon a long vine reached my window and I was able to slide down with it.

I made my way through castle garden in the darkness of the night. The guards didn’t notice me since I had some exotic plant seeds with me. When they bloom for the first time they sent sleeping gas, the guards will be well rested in the morning.

I walked onto the forest, slowly the light from the moon was vanishing. The trees were closer to each other and that made it impossible to the light actually get through. The scenery was interesting, only an owl was making sounds in this forbidden part of the forest. Some say that in here are places where you could actually get hurt.

When I entered the forbidden part I saw the hole where Jack fell as a child. We were playing back then in this area. Then we made sure not to enter here but here I am now. I took out the map Pitch gave me, his hideout is here in the middle.

Suddenly I felt how my feet went inside of something. There was a tiny hole in the ground where I had to pull my leg out. When I lifted my gaze I saw a cave in front of me. I glanced at the map. It is the right place.

“Hello!” I yell when I enter the cave, some bats fly past me. “Hello, Emma Frost,” A dark voice responses and a man walks in front of me from the shadows. I smirk to him.

He suddenly touches my French braid, “Trying to be your mother?” He mocks me. “No! My cousin did it,” I told him and smiled. He grinned deviously, “So, what brought a Frost in this hideout of mine?”

I took a deep breath, “I am here to be your friend Pitch, like I told you!” He glared at me, walked around me. “You’re pathetic-,” he whispered coldly, “- why would I want someone with so vast amount of powers?” His words annoyed me and the ground beneath me was turning brown, “Take it back!” I snapped at him.

“No,” he laughed. The ground was now black. ”Maybe there is something interesting inside of you,” he rubbed his chin and turned around. He looked me over his shoulder, “Come to see me later. When your powers have grown, then you can return.” His words made me feel relieved and the ground slowly returned to normal, “I will!” I yelled in excitement when I turned around. I run back to castle feeling happier than ever, my goal will happen! Eventually! No matter how long it takes!
