POV Elsa

“STOP calling me that!” Jackie was whining to two year old Emma who said it again, “Jackie!” She giggled and Jackie seemed annoyed. “MOM! Tell her to stop!” We were on a picknic on a meadow near our castle in Arendelle. Jack had gone first to prepare the site and I walked with Jackie and Emma.

“Stop what?” I asked from Jackie. ”SHE calls me Jackie!” His annoyance amused me. “What is wrong with that Jackie?” He made a groan that sounded like he was mad. “It is a name for GIRLS!” Just recently he had found out that there are differences between boys and girls. He has been asking us not to call him by his nickname. It was hard to keep my expression neutral, “Well, she is just two years old and it will take time for her to call you otherwise.”

Jackie rolled his eyes and walked with hands crossed over his chest. When we were at the picnic site I took our lunch basket and started to present the food. Some cake, sandwiches and hot chocolate. Our whole family loves to have hot chocolate even if it is summer like it is now.

Emma was pulling Jackie from hand and giggling. She loved fun things and to laugh. Just like her father, suddenly I felt arms wrapping around my waist and I fell down. Jack was laying next to me and watching me into eyes “Jack, the kids are here too!” He was smiling, “they are too busy,” he nodded to our children’s direction. They were playing on the grass, Emma tried to catch Jackie who run circle around her.

Jack’s hands were playing with my hair. “Hi,” he smiled and his deep blue eyes were examining my face. He cupped my head between his hands and kissed me. I rested my head on his chest and played with his hoodie’s strings. These moments are precious to us, when we get to be close to each other. He sure is fun to be around but he also is a loving personality who cares for others. Now we had more free time for each other and for our family since there isn’t much need for snow in summer.

The summer. I remember when we first met before my coronation. Then it was summer and he had free time. He decided to spent time with me and we fell in love. Who would have guessed that I would meet the actual Jack Frost, love him and raise a family with him? Oh and that part where I would be a Guardian. Everything makes sense now.

We got startled when we heard crying and Emma run to us. “Jackie got ouchie,” Emma sounded worried. We all went to forest where the kids were playing. Jackie had fallen to a hole. “How did you end up there?” Jack sounded surprised, well… Who could blame him since he and Jackie knew how to use wind. Jackie was blushing, “ I got surprised dad! Didn’t have time to..do something!” Jackie was holding his knee.

“Are you hurt?” My voice was in higher tune when I spoke. “Yeah, I hit my knee and can’t get up mommy!” Immediately Jack jumped to the pit and lifted Jackie up. Gently he placed Jackie to ground and I saw his knee bleeding, he tried to get up but fell and cried. “Poor Jackie,” Emma patted Jackie’s back.

Then the amazing part happened. Emma placed her hand to Jackie’s leg, even Jackie stop crying and started to stare what Emma was doing. “It feels warm,” Jackie stated and we saw warm light glowing between Emma’s hand and his knee. Me and Jack glanced at each other in misbelieve. Jackie’s wound was healing and Emma seemed happy. ”Jackie better!” She giggled with joy and jumped to Jackie’s neck. “She healed me?” Jackie sounded surprised.

We continued our picnic but the atmosphere was anxious. This is the first time Emma has shown that she has some sort of powers. What is certain is that she doesn’t have same powers as we do. When children were sleeping me and Jack had a conversation at bed. “Will she be alright?” I whispered to Jack.

His hand rested on my shoulder, “She will be. She has us and Jackie. However we should find out more about her powers. Maybe the trolls can help us?” He lifted his eyebrows to sign his question. “Yes but we need to find out more before going to them. “ He embraced me and I fell asleep against his chest.

POV Jack

After the incident where Emma cured Jackie’s knee we have been seeing the amount of her powers. Yesterday was the worst one for Elsa to handle. Autumn is getting closer which could explain what happened. We were near a pond that is located in the Arendelle forest. We were feeding ducks. Emma was with Elsa and I was with Jackie.

Everything was going smoothly until I heard Elsa’s terrified voice. “Why did you do that Emma?” When I went to them I saw that the ground around Emma was dying, the grass was brown and no flowers. “What happened?” I asked from my girls. ”S-she..,” Elsa started but Emma started talking with excitement. “They need to rest dada!”

“What do you mean Emma?” I furrowed my eyebrows and kneeled next to her. “They told me that they will sleep.” She pointed at the plants. “You did this?” She nodded and smiled. To her mind there was nothing wrong and she run to play with Jackie.

“Jack..” Elsa sounded worried so I took her hands in mine. Suddenly she started to hug me and I felt that she was shivering. “W-why did she do that?” She whispered to my ear. ”I don’t know snow dove,” I patted her back, “She honestly believes that the plants want to rest.”

Elsa broke free from my grasp. “What if she ends up like me!” She sounded terrified and I chuckled while taking her back to my arms. Kids were now playing with a duck judging from the sound. “Well.. You ended up married to a Guardian of Fun and have kids. Something wrong with that?” I smirked and she punched me to chest gently with her fist. “Jack! That is not what I meant!” Truly I know that it was something else she was speaking off.

“It is just like I told you before Elsa. We are here for her, we won’t let her handle it by herself. “ I smiled faintly and continued, “Maybe now is the time to visit the trolls and find out about her powers. We need to know so we can be there for her.” She nodded.

“Let’s go right now!” Elsa yelled excited which startled me. “They live just around the corner!” Something was saying to me that she had planned this beforehand. Like us going to the pond and so on. However Emma making the ground brown wasn’t on her plans. I nodded to her and yelled, “Kids! Let’s go to visit uncle Kristoff’s relatives!”

Jackie and Emma run to us, Emma was holding Jackie’s hand. We went around the rock that was surrounding the pond. There was a small river going from beside of a pile of rocks. Emma and Jackie got startled when the rocks started to move. I knew that they were the trolls that Elsa has been telling me of like Kristoff and Anna. Something grapped me from behind, “OOH! The Winter Spirit is here!” I twisted myself to look behind of my back. A female troll was hanging on my feet. “Uh, hi?” I responded and she started to scream with excitement. ”HE spoke to me!”

“What is up with these trolls?” I whispered to Elsa and she shrug her shoulders. “Haven’t seen you in quite some time, Mrs. Frost.” A male troll was speaking to Elsa, then he looked at Jackie “So here is the baby that we found out last time we saw!” Oh… so that long time, Elsa was now blushing which made me laugh.

“So.. Why is the Guardian family here?” The male troll patted a couple rocks next to him. We sat down and I nodded to Emma’s direction. “She has powers we have never seen before,” we watched as Jackie and Emma played with troll children. “Please, go on,” the troll suggested.

“She knows how to heal and just made the grass brown! Please, do you know anything?” Troll smiled happily and asked Emma to come to him. He took her hand and closed his eyes. “You may go child,” he let Emma go back to play. “What is it?” Elsa was almost begging for answers. ”It is life,” he said shortly.

Elsa and I were watching each other trying to figure out what he meant. She didn’t get it and I didn’t either. “What do you mean?” I asked politely. ”She guards life itself. She can make things heal faster, she can make things grow,” yeah..now it makes sense why our small bonsai tree was more like a normal tree size last week. Then he continued, “ She can also realize when things need to rest like plants do when it is winter time. “ Elsa started to smile, “That doesn’t sound bad.”

The male troll seemed serious and Elsa stopped smiling. “However there is a catch. She will feel the draw to dark forces some day and if she turns evil.. then..  well she is life so it would be bad.” Elsa was in her thoughts now. ”We will prevent it,” I held Elsa’s hand, ” So… if I heard correctly she will someday choose if she wants to be actual Guardian? Like Jackie can?” The troll nodded, “Yes. Did I or did I not tell you that she guards life?” Elsa and I nodded.

On the way home Elsa and I stayed quiet. Children were just talking about the trolls and how much fun they had. They wanted to visit them again. Of course we spoke to our children but I have a feeling that Elsa wants to talk to me privately as desperately as I want to talk with her.
