POV Jackson

Again more of the letters that saying at my position as the King of Arendelle is being threatened. Even the royal advisor is saying that I should marry quickly. My hands squeeze the latest letter into small paper ball and I throw it into flames. It burns into ashes and I rise from my chair.

“Wind!” I yelled as I stepped to window. “Take me to North Pole,” I ordered and when I jumped down, wind carried me. When I flew past the forest area I heard an explosion kind of voice and I see how Belle is flying up. I should’ve picked another route and not the one going above her home.

“What’s up Jackson?” She practically giggled and her smile was so wide that it shows her white set of teeth. “To see mom,” I said simply and let out  a smirk. “You want to race?” I grinned and she nodded. She loved to race and her expression immediately turned more serious.

“You’re on brother!” She laughed and I felt heat increasing next to me. She created really hot fumes that made her go faster. I have to admit that she’s creative with that flying hoodie of hers. “Hah, just try,” I laughed and asked the wind to carry me faster. I beat her like before but it was really tight race.

“Jackie!” I heard a familiar yell when I landed down. When I turned around I saw Emma smiling her bright smile. “I’m so glad that you came to visit us on Christmas! Mom and dad will be so happy!” She giggled and I messed up my hair.

“Hey Jackson,” Jonathan greeted me and was carrying a newborn. “Hi, so that must be Lionel,” I said as I pointed at the sleeping baby. “Yeah,” Emma smiled warmly as she watched her son. “So.. umm,” I mumbled nervously.

“Yes Jackie, he has powers.. like mine,” Emma grinned and took her son from Jonathan. “Hold him for a while.. uncle,” Emma teased me with shining eyes. I took the one month old baby to my arms and I chuckled when he fuzzed a bit. “Hey little one,” I whispered and did a little snowman from eternal ice for him.

Emma took Lionel from me when he started to cry after food. After that I quickly went to find my parents as Belle stayed with Emma and her family. Mom was in the kitchen and apparently cutting salad since that’s one of the things she can’t ruin in the kitchen. “Hey,” I greeted her and she turned around.

“Jackie!” She yelled happily and held the knife in her other hand when she did a quick turn. “Umm.. mom.. put down the knife,” I laughed nervously. Sometimes she reminds me of late aunt Anna  with her actions. “Good idea,” she smiled and placed the knife down.

“Where’s dad?” I asked as I looked around. “He is doing last minute work with bringing winter,” mom said as she sat down. “You had something on your mind?” She smiled and patted the chair next to her.

“Yeah,” I mumbled and cleared my throat while sitting down. “So… I need to marry soon,” I gulped. Mom nodded, “Unfortunately that’s the case in Arendelle. Have you found anyone?” She smiled to me and I had to sigh loudly.

“It seems that you’ve not found anyone?” Her voice had sympathy in it and she touched my hand. I just shook my head. “Mmh.. how about that friend of yours? Fern?” She sounded bit hopeful for some reason. “Yeah, we’re friends still,” I said with my cheeks blushing. It has been weeks from the moment when she dared me and we ended up kissing. Nothing more ever developed from it.

“Describe your friend to me,” mom smiled. “Uh.. well.. she’s a bit clumsy sometimes but also bossy. In my mind she is brave and caring too… her eyes.. they’re like emeralds and she smells like the sweetest flowers,” I said and my vision got a bit blurry and I got nervous all of a sudden.

Mom chuckled, “Alright. How do you feel around her?” I rubbed my neck, “Umm.. little nervous but happy at the same time. She helps me to be more of myself.” I shrugged my shoulders and then mom jumped up. Her actions startled me and then she hugged me.

“You should go to her,” mom whispered to my ear while hugging me. “Why?” I gulped. “You love her,” she whispered and I startled even more. “Yea, I love my friend,” I said with high voice. She started to laugh as she backed up from me. “Meet her, then you’ll see what I mean,” mom smiled and petted my cheek.

“But,” I mumbled and she shook her head. “Now, you can come tomorrow to celebrate the Christmas with us,” her voice was warm and calming. I slowly nodded my head and smiled. Then I walked outside from the ice castle and Belle run after me. “You’re going to Fern? Right?” She giggled and I nodded. Then I had to raise my eyebrow as a sign of questioning when she fist pumped in the air.

Belle quickly placed her arms around her back,” Nothing.” She smiled and looked happy. “Alright, see you tomorrow,” I grinned and jumped to air. The wind was carrying me back to Arendelle.

POV Fern

It was Christmas Eve and I’m still running around my room in panic. For few weeks I’ve been trying to figure out the best gift for my friend Jackson. The sketches I’ve done have been bad and I just don’t know what he likes.

I sighed and went downstairs to sit on dinner table. “What’s bothering you?” My mother asked and I groaned. “I don’t have a present to my friend,” I whined and she laughed a bit. “How about a flower? That’s our family’s specialty anyway?” She smiled and went to wash the dishes.

“Thank you mom,” I thanked her while smiling. It was actually a good idea and I think I know one special flower. Quickly I run upstairs and check out my book of magical flowers. Then I found it.

It says that where snow or ice magic has been used there might be ice flowers blooming on that area. I actually knew that in the mountains once was the castle of Ice Queen. There they might bloom. Unfortunately the mountainside is dangerous in December with avalanches but I need to get it.

I told my mother that I went to meet my girl friends but I ended up walking in the forest. I saw that Belle’s cabin was empty and I walked fast. Stars were shining bright on this cold night. Finally I reached the bottom of the mountain and I started to climb.

When I had found the flower which was beautiful, it was ice crystal flower that was shimmering from frost that covered it, I started to climb down. The path was really hard. Then I accidentally slipped and snow fell from under me. I screamed and slide down the rest of the way which wasn’t more than  few meters. I slammed against the tree and some snow fell on me.

“Gosh that was scary,” I whispered and looked at the flower which was still fine. Then I wiped the snow from me and looked up. I gasped when I saw an avalanche coming down the mountain. The scream probably created it and now I was frozen from terror.

I closed my eyes and crouched down. The masses of snow were roaming down and towards me.

“FERN!” I heard a yell from above and I see Jackson. He flies in front of me and flashes me a quick smile. “You’ll be fine,” he said and turned his back at me. I see how he lifts his hand up and with wind he splits the snow mass in two. It goes from around us and we’re saved.

When it all was over he turns around again, his eyes are looking at mine. “You’re alright?” He asks and I nodded. His smile is relieved and then he shuts me into embrace. “I was so worried when the wind carried the sound of your scream to me.. I’m so happy that I was at the nearby,” he whispered and held me tight. “Yeah,” I managed to say.

“What you were doing here,” he asked me and my cheeks turned red. “Getting you a present,” I whispered and he sighed. “Don’t ever do that again,” he said tightly and I nodded while handing him the ice flower. “It’s really nice,” he chuckled and put it behind my ear.

“Jackson,” I whispered and he placed his finger in front of my mouth. My heart beat faster and I held my breath. I couldn’t see him properly since the sky had been cloudy for a while, covering the moon and stars.

“Let’s go to castle?” He whispered. “Sure,” I whispered and he chuckled. I placed my arms around his neck and he lifted me up. Then he flew up and towards Arendelle.

When he landed down to his bedroom I look at him into his eyes. The way he smiles is causing me to feel nervous and good at the same time. My hands went to cup his face before he managed to put me down to my feet. His lips opened slightly from the surprise. My heart was racing when I reached towards him.

My heartbeat was rapid and my breath is shallow just before when my lips touched his, he closed his eyes as well as I did. My body slides down from his arms but he keeps himself close to me. He placed his arms around my waist and kissed me back.

My hands went down on his back and then I felt something warm and wet. I open my eyes and look at my hand. At the same time he grunted and our kiss broke.  He backed up and is pressing his right side. I stare at my bloody hands and my heart is aching.

“Jackson?” I whispered in panic and I look at him. “F-Fern,” he whispered and fell to his knees. His face is pale and I see how a wooden stick is piercing him. It seems that it had gone through his body because of the avalanche. I slammed my hands over my mouth and tears run on my cheeks.

His eyes rolled backwards and just before he hit the ground after passing out I run to him. “Jackson!” I screamed and petted his head gently. “I.. I love you,” I whispered and kissed his forehead.

POV Jack

My job was almost done in the world. Tomorrow will be my free day from bringing the fun and winter. In Christmas almost every child would have fun even without me. I decided to do Arendelle last because I could remind Jackie to come for  Christmas dinner tomorrow, to see his family.

When I flew inside from Jackie’s window I saw his friend, Fern kneeling on the floor and crying. Then I watch down and I gasped, I had to take support from my staff because of what I saw. “Jackie!” I yelled and flew to them.

My son was bleeding on the floor and Fern was pressing the wound. “H-he needs help,” Fern whispered and glanced at me. I’m panting and looking at them both. Then I shook my head and cleared my thoughts. “I.. I will get Emma,” I mumbled and run to window. I practically yelled the wind to take me to North Pole.

The way was fast this time and I quickly searched after Emma. She was with Elsa in the kitchen. “E-Emma, you need to come to Arendelle,” I said quickly. She seemed confused alongside with Elsa. “Why dad?” She whispered and bounced Lionel better on her hip.

“It’s Jackie. H-he is bleeding out on the floor,” I whispered with my eyes wide. Elsa gasped and Emma just nodded, handing Lionel to Jonathan. “Let’s go,” she said and took one snowglobe from the table. She smashed it on the floor and I went in with her and Elsa.

We arrived directly at Jackie’s bedroom and Elsa run to hold Jackie. Fern backed off while sobbing and Emma kneeled next to her brother. “We got here just in time,” she whispered and pulled the stick out from the wound. Jackie gasped but was still unconscious. Then Emma was healing the wound.

“Now that he is mortal there will be a scar left after my work is done,” Emma whispered and then smiled to Fern. “Without you he would’ve bled to death.. Thank you,” Emma whispered and then Elsa hugged Fern.

“He will be alright darling, don’t you worry,” Elsa said to Fern who wiped her tears away. I crouched down next to them and kept my eye on Jackie.

When Emma had healed him we placed him to bed. “He will be alright tomorrow, he needs to rest.. but you should bring him tomorrow to Christmas dinner,  I wont allow him to fly,” Emma giggled and handed Fern a snowglobe. Fern nodded and smiled faintly.

“Thank you,” I whispered and hugged Fern before we all left. Just when I was about to step inside the whirling portal that was created from a snowglobe I heard some discussing. I look over my shoulder and smile. I see Fern chatting with Jackie who had woken up just now. Two hours later from when he was healed.

Fern laughed with Jackie and then I heard them speaking. “Fern.. I was so worried when you almost got hurt because of the avalanche,” Jackie gulped. Then he took her hand and I decided that I shouldn’t be hearing this and I stepped into the portal. However I heard Jackie’s words before I was on the other side. “I realized that I love you, with all of my heart.. I need a queen. Would you be mine forever?”

Then I was back at the North pole and I groaned loudly. It caused Emma and Elsa turn around. “What’s wrong Jack?” Elsa raised her eyebrow. I kicked some snow. “Oh well, I just heard Jackie sort of propose a girl.. BUT MISSED THE RESPONSE!” I pouted. I heard Elsa and Emma gasping and then squealing. I gulped when they both run to my neck and kept on screaming and jumping up and down.

“Uh.. you’ve waited from him to ask it from her?” I stare at them when they let go. “Yes!” Elsa said in excitement and Emma smiled and kept on giggling. I rolled my eyes. “Well, let’s hope that she said yes,” I chuckled.

Sorry for late update.. I’ve been busy and then sick with bronchitis. Still eating these untasty antibiotics… ewww..
