Firkle watched Ike's whole practice as per usual, but he didn't really pay that much attention to it. He fixed his lipstick and sat impatiently on the bleachers.

Firkle was tempted to ask Ike if he wanted to come over so they could continue making out, because his parents were hardly ever home always busy with work. But, maybe that was too forward of an invitation.

When Firkle looked back over most of the players were starting to leave the field. Firkle stood up and began his way down the bleachers toward Ike.

Then he stopped when he saw a couple of guys from the team with him. He didn't want to interrupt anything.

"So, Ike," one of them said, "Are you going to go out with Sally? She did ask you like last week, dude, and you still haven't answered her."

"I don't really want to let her down, I'm not good at that, but I don't want to date her-"

"You don't want to date her?" The other one pipes up. Ike shakes his head.

"You got someone one better or something?" The first one asks sarcastically.

Yeah, he has me. Firkle thinks to himself. "Well..." Ike pauses. I probably shouldn't mention Firkle until he tells me it's okay. "No. Not really. I just want to focus on other things right now."

Firkle crinkles his nose. Maybe he didn't want anything with Firkle, just some meaningless fun. Or maybe he was embarrassed that he was with (whatever that meant to him) Firkle and didn't want other people to know- especially not the guys on the football team.

"Hey Firkle," Ike greeted. "Am I driving you home?" He asked.

Firkle ignored him and walked toward Ike's car without answering. Ike followed happily, taking Firkle's silence as a probably.

Once they got to Ike's car, Firkle grabbed his sweatshirt and pulled Ike into a kiss. He wanted Ike to know that he didn't care what any of the poser thought of him.

Firkle pulled away and Ike was practically looking at him with heart eyes. "Do you want to come to my house?" Ike asked dazedly.

Firkle blushed, "Yeah, okay." He nodded, but didn't let go of Ike's sweatshirt.
