It's been days , days since they kissed, days since he held her close and made promises that seem like a fantasy.

Sleep couldn't be harder.

She tossed and turned , rocking back and forth taking in all the new feelings and actions that have happened between them.

He promised her things she knew he never meant to keep, but they way he said them .... It made her feel like she was wanted .

She wanted all this to go away, she didn't want the force bond , she felt it now .... Felt it stronger than ever .

She felt his thoughts and his actions. She heard his voice as he spoke aloud to himself.

She felt when he ate, her own stomach feeling less empty.

She felt when he bathed , warm sensations filled her back, something running in her hair.

She felt him close his eyes and try and sleep. She tried to sleep herself , she wanted just a few moments of peace .

There was yelling and pain , fear and hatred . Blood... Tons of blood ... Deep pain , cuts and bruises , hands flying .

She sat up , knocking her sleep off , she breathed in and out for a few moments and then they came back.

How could they? She was awake there was no way that the nightmares could get to her now.

Then she realized these were his nightmares , and as long as he isn't getting any sleep she's not.

She grabbed her shoes , putting on her boots without tying them and her jacket as well as clipping her lightsaber on her hip.

She ran in the rain , past the all the sleeping quarters with others and down to that basement.

A single guard was sleeping in front of the door and she pushed aside to open the door.

She ran down the stairs and deep to his cell like room. She did the pin and ran in.

She heard the screams louder and louder. "Ren!" She yelled and ran to his bed .

He was thrashing , moving around violently. She sat on his bed facing him and began to shake him awake.

"Kylo ! Kylo ! Kylo wake up!" She begged "please !" She said , tears falling from her own face . "Please stop !" She cried .

He was still moving around in his deep nightmares . She tried everything she could think of . She then felt her own tears fall , fall over her face and his bed .

He shot up in bed , looking at the crying Jedi in training in front of him. "Rey" he whispered and she looked up, wiping away all her tears . "Rey what happened ?" He asked his hands flying to her face to cup it .

"You" she sniffled "you were in ... Your nightmares... I felt them... Your pain ... Your suffering... I saw the blood and the -"

"Shhh" he begged "I'm okay"

"No you're not... Ren I felt it all... I know why you don't sleep-"she had shucked her rain coat off now .

"The dream was of you Rey" he said softly not meeting her eyes.

"Me?" She asked .

"You ... Snoke had ... He took you from me and he tortured thinking that you were going to grow stronger with pain" he said "but you grew weaker and he was hurting you... In front of me" he sighed. "I saw you die in my arms"

"Ren" she pushed back his black locks. "Snoke is never going to get me... In stronger that that-"

"Doesn't mean that I am" he said .
She felt her heart swell , she sat up a little straighter then moved her lips to his cheek.

"Ren you need to understand ... I'm light... The light always wins in the end"

"I don't like that you're all away across this base..."he looked at her "would you stay with me?"

"Stay with you?" She asked.

"Please? Just ... Just to let me know you're okay?" He begged . Rey nodded and kicked off her shoes , slipping under the blankets and resting her head on the pillow .

He threw his arms around her torso and held her against him , he was holding her hand tightly. "I'm alright Ren" she whispered , grabbing his hand to kiss it.

"I'm not" he added. He felt the bed shift and then lips on his own.

"Please try to be" she begged and he found her lips again in the darkness .

"I will"
