One Week Later
Its been a week since I found out that I was pregnant. I still haven't told Declan that I am pregnant with our child when we are five month away from our wedding. Declan's at the University doing his classes.
I went to the doctors office to find out my results if I am truly pregnant or not. "Angelina Marsden?" a nurse asked. "Yes," I said, getting up. I followed the nurse. "Here you go, Dr. Dodge will right with you with your results," the nurse said.
I thanked him and I sat down on a chair. I waited for Dr. Dodge to come. My phone vibrated. I answered it. "Hello?" I asked. "Hey, babe. Are you working?" Declan asked. "No, I'm off today. Why?" I asked.
"Oh I was wondering. Is everything okay?" he asked. "Yeah everything's okay," I lied. "Angelina, I can tell by your voice that somethings wrong," he said. "Can we talk about this later, please?" I asked.
"No we are gonna talk about this right now. You better tell me right now or else?" he said. "Alright, you want to know what's wrong? Fine. I am PREGNANT!" I said, hanging up. I huffed. I heard a knock on the door.
The door opens. Dr. Dodge came in. "Hi, Angelina. How are you?" he asked. "I am good. Just want to know my results," I said. Dr. Dodge sat down. "I got your results from your blood test and it is confirmed that you are pregnant," he said.
I nodded. "Can I know for how long?" I asked. "About four weeks," he said. "Oh my," I said. "Yeah. Is there any questions that you need to ask?" he asked. "No but may I get a copy of my results?" I asked. "Of course," he said.
After my appointment, I got home. I don't see Declan's car. I went inside to see if he was home. "Declan, are you home?" I asked. There was no answer. "Declan?" I asked. I picked up my phone and called him.
It continue to ring. "Hi, Declan Loughlin, sorry missed your call. Leave a message," his voicemail. "Declan, I noticed you weren't home. Please call me back," I said, hanging up. I headed upstairs to see if he was there. He's not in the office. I checked the bedroom and he wasn't there.
Late that night, I stayed up and waited for Declan to show come home. The door opened up and it was Declan. "Where have you been? I have been calling you for hours. Where were you?!" I asked.
"Calm down," he said. "Do not tell me to call down. Where were you?" I asked. "Want to know where I went. I went to visit my ex-wife Melinda," he said. "Were you cheating on me with her?" I asked.
"No I am not cheating on you with her. I don't know why you are getting all mad," he said. "You should have been here with me and you weren't. I've been crying for you to come home all day and you didn't. I needed you! I am pregnant with our unborn baby. You should be there for us! I am going to bed and you are sleeping on the damn couch!" I said, heading upstairs.
Next Morning
I barely got any sleep. I stayed awake most of the night. I turned over. I heard a knockd "Angelina, can we talk please?" Declan asked, as he opened the door. I sniffled and sat up.
"I'm sorry for not coming home after work. I was very mad that you didn't tell me you were pregnant. I want to know why didn't you tell me that you were pregnant?" he asked. I sniffled, wiping my tears.
"I was afraid you will leave me," I said. "Now, why would I leave you? I am not Keith and never will be that asshole. I love you way too much. I am happy that you are pregnant. I want nothing more than to raise this baby with you. I promise you that," he said.
I nodded. He kissed my head. I smiled back. "Now what are we gonna do about our wedding?" I asked. "Oh that's a good question. How about we just have a small wedding with just us and family only or we can just get married at the court house," he said.
"We have no choice to hold the wedding back and just go to the courts," I said. "Then after the baby is born, we can have an official ceremony," he said. "That would be good idea. I'll be five months pregnant and my dresses won't fit," I said.
Febuary
Declan and Kyle are at mine and Declan's house, whilst me, Kat and Julianna are getting our hair and makeup done at the salon near the courthouse. My parents nor Declan's parents aren't gonna be here to witness it.
They didn't like it when we had to postpone the wedding Since my dresses were ready, I got myself a white dress. "Is it okay for me to change in here?" I asked Tara, who did my hair for my engagment to Declan.
"Yes, we have a rest room in here," Tara said. I nodded. "Thank you," I said. "I am almost finished with your makeup and hair," she said. "Oh can you add this veil? Its was from Angelina and Kyle's late Nani Mae's wedding veil," Kat said, holding it out.
I put my glasses on to see it. I gasped. "Kat, how did you get it?" I asked. "Kyle told me that Nani wanted you to wear it as something borrowed," Kat said. I smiled and tried not to cry. Tara put it on my head.
"Now I am gonna go change from this to my outfit," I said. "Do you need help with anything?" Kat asked. "Tara, can you help me?" I asked. "Of course," Tara said. I grabbed my dress, my shoes and accessories and went in the restrooms.
A few moments later, Tara went out first. "She's all ready," Tara said. Kat and Julianna were standing, waiting for me. I came out of the restroom. They both gasped. "Oh my gosh," Kat said. "Nita, you look beautiful," Julianna said.
"Thank you," I said. "Look in the mirror," Tara said. I turned around and looked at myself. "Oh my. Tara, thank you so much," I said to her. "You are welcome," Tara said.
1:55PM
We are at the courthouse. We are standing outside the doors. Declan's waiting for me. We headed upstairs to the room. Kyle was waiting for me to walk down the aisle. "Ready to get this show on the road?" Kyle asked.
I nodded. "Yes," I said, smiling. I took a deep breathe and then exhaled. The door opens up and I see Declan standing there. Wedding march plays as Kyle and I walked down the aise. He was dressed up in his tux and Vans.
He looks very nice. I got up to him. He smiled and teared up. "You look lovely," he whispered. "Thank you," I whispered. "We gather here today to unite Miss Angelina Juanita Maria Marsden and Mr. Declan Jameson Loughlin in holy matrimony. I understand that you two have your own vows?" the officiant asked.
We nodded. "Angelina, proceed," the officiant said. "I know we only have ten minutes. I promise to love you, honor you, cherish you for all the days of my life. I promise to be the best wife and mother of our unborn child you can ever ask for," I said.
"Declan, will you proceed with you vows," the officiant said. "Angelina, you are my angel, you saved my life after my darkest days. We reunited about four years ago and now here we stand, uniting us as one and making us a family of three. I can't wait to be a father and you as a mother," he said.
Now its time to exchange rings. Declan took his promise ring off. I took my engagment ring off. Kyle gave the rings to the officiant. "Angelina, do you take Declan to be your husband?" the officiant asked. "I do," I said. "Declan, do you take Angelina to be your wife?" the officiant asked. "I do," he said. We exchanged the rings.
He put my engagement room back on. "Before we continue, is there anyone that object this union, speak now or forever hold your piece," officiant paused. We looked around. Kyle, Kat and Julianna didn't speak.
"I guess no one objects. Then by the state of Wisconsin, I pronounce you husband and wife, Declan, you may kiss your bride," the officiant said. Declan and I kissed each other, deeply. "Witnesses, I am proud to introduce the new Mr. and Mrs. Loughlin," the officiant said.
