33.
Its been one week since we id Keith. We just left the courtroom after Keith had his sentence to 5 years in jail for attacking Declan and beating him up badly, which was not enough time. "I can't believe he's gonna be in jail for five years," I said.
"I know. That's not enough time. At least we won't have to worry about it him getting out of parol or probation," he said. I nodded. "Now we still one more problem. Victoria," I said. "According to your friend Gracie, another student of mine, has showed me proof that she's obsessed with me," he said.
"What kind of proof?" I asked. "She has a journal where she writes about me and all the things she wants to do to you, and sneaky pictures of me and you in public like spying on us," he said. "She is ten times worse as Nina," I said.
"So Gracie is gonna show Dean Michelle all of the evidence that Victoria's super obsessed with us," he said. I nodded. "Good. She's needs to expelled and be locked up in a mental hospital," I said.
He nodded. "I better take you home then head back to campus," he said. I nodded. "I'm getting tired and dizzy after seeing Keith again," I said. He nodded.
Two Hours Later
I was waiting for Declan to come home after his last class of the day. I'm waiting to for the cookies in the oven to be done. I heard the door open. "I'm home," Declan said.
"Hey, babe," I said. "It smells good in here," he said. "I've been baking some cookies," I said. "That's why it smells like a bakery," he said, smiling. He held me, kissing my cheek.
"How was your last class?" I asked. "Well Dean Michelle pulled Victoria out of my class," he said. "Really?" I asked. "Yes. Her parents confessed to me and Dean Michelle that Victoria has done this before at a previous college," he said.
"Wow. So what will happen to her now?" I asked. "They official expelled her and is no longer a student at Lark University," he said. "That's good. Do you still have your job?" I asked. "Yes I do," he said.
I sighed in relief. "Good," I said. "Yeah. Good thing they caught her before she made it worse like Nina did," he said. I nodded. "Well I'm gonna go shower really quick," he said, smiling. "Okay," I said, smiling.
He headed upstairs. I took the cookies out of the oven. I grabbed the cooling rack and start placing the cookies on it. I turned off the oven. I heard the shower water turn on. I headed upstairs to my office.
I checked my facebook account. I see a post from my brother Kyle. "For anyone that doesn't know that Katherine and I are expecting our first child together. Can't wait to meet Baby Marsden in August."
"Awwwww about time Kyle and Katz have a baby," I said. I grabbed my cell phone and I called Kyle. He answered, "Hey sis. What's up?" "Hey, I just saw your post about you and Katz being pregnant," I said.
"Yes, we are expecting," he said. "Congratulations! I can't wait to be an aunt," I said, smiling. "Yes. When are you and Declan getting married?" he asked. "Declan and I haven't picked a date yet," I said.
"Oh okay. When you guys pick a date, please let us know," he said. "Oh I will," I said. "Okay. Talk to you later, because I am about to leave head home from work," he said. "Okay. Drive careful," I said. "I will," he said, ending the call.
An hour later, Declan was grading assignments from his students. I was getting dinner done for us. I grabbed a couple of plates out, setting them on the island. I checked the steaks to make sure its medium rare how Declan likes it. I checked to make sure mine's medium.
"Perfect," I said. I got the scalp potatoes out of the oven and put it on the pot holder on the island. "Babe, dinner's ready!" I said. "Be down in a minute," he said. "Want a Blue Moon?" I asked.
"Yes, please," he said. I grabbed a bottle of Blue Moon and a Cola out of the fridge. I set it down on the island. Declan came down the stairs to the kitchen. "Smells great in here," he said. "I made grilled steak, scalp potatoes and Texas toast," I said.
"Looks great," he said, sitting down on the bar stool. I took the steaks off the mini grill and put them on a plate, setting them on the island. I put the medium rare steak on his plate. "Thanks babe," he said.
I put my steak on my plate. I sat the empty plate in the sink. I sat down next to him. He put some scalp potatoes on his plate and I added some on mine. We started eating. "Good job on the steaks," he said.
"Thank you. Kyle and Katz are expecting their first child together," I said. "That's awesome! Congrats to them," he said. "Then he asked me when our wedding is," I said. "Oh?" he said. "I told him that we don't have a date set," I said.
"Why does Kyle want to know?" he asked. "I didn't ask him," I said. "Oh. When's their due date?" he asked. "August," I said. "Okay, we've been engaged since November. How about we have our wedding next spring?" he asked.
"I actually like that idea. So future niece or nephew will be able to see us get married," I said. "Then the baby will be at least old enough to a little flower girl for our wedding," he said. I nodded.
"I love that even more," I said. He smiled. "Do you have your dress picked out?" he asked. "I do have my dress picked out but I'm not telling you what the dress looks like," I said. "I can't wait until the surprise reveal," he said.
I nodded. "Have you looked at bridesmaids dresses?" he asked. "Not yet. I'm gonna wait until September to look for bridesmaids dresses," I said. "Okay. What should the colors be for our masquerade themed wedding?" he asked.
"Black and red?" I asked. "That's pretty unique," he said. I nodded. "Do I have to wear a red tie?" he asked.
"No, you and your groomsmen will be in all black but don't wear loafers," I said. "Black vans okay?" he asked. "Yes, make sure they get black vans," I said, smiling. "Don't worry, I will," he said, smiling. We continued to eating.
December
Declan and I are heading to Chicago for Christmas. Last time we were in Chicago was for Kyle and Kat's wedding over three years ago. We are on the plane since its too long of a drive from from one state to another.
"Who's picking us up at the airport?" Declan asked. "Kyle's picking us at the airport," I said. "Okay. Do you know where we are staying at?" he asked. "Well we are not staying at my parents house. Kyle's letting us stay with him and Katz in the guest room," I said.
"Good," he said. I nodded. "At least Kyle isn't strict like our parents were to me and him," I said. "Good thing. We don't need that when we are grown ups," he said. I nodded. "True, we are too grown for that," he said.
I nodded. "That we are," I said, smiling. I kissed his cheek. He smiled. "Don't ever shave this beard," I said. "Don't worry, I won't. Is trimming it okay?" he asked. "Yes, that's okay," I said, smiling.
An hour later, the plane landed. We got our luggage after getting off. "Shit, I forgot my carry-on," I said, heading back to the gate. "Miss, did you forget this bag?" flight attendant asked. She gave it to me.
"Yes. Thank you so much," I said, walking away. "No problem," she said, smiling. I walked away and head back to Declan. "Got your carry on?" he asked. "Yes," I said, showing it. I checked to make sure my ipad, headphones and tampons are in there.
"Everything still in it?" he asked. "Yes," I said. "That's good," he said. "Lets go find Kyle," I said. We got our luggage, wheeling them to find Kyle. We looked for him. I look over and I see my brother.
"I see him," I said. "Okay," he said. Declan and I walked over towards Kyle and I hugged my brother. "Hey bro," I said, smiling. "Hey sis," Kyle said. "Hey man," Declan said. "Hey, future brother-in-law. Got everything?" Kyle asked.
We nodded. "Let's go," Kyle said. We left the airport. Declan and Kyle are getting the luggage in back of Kyle's truck. I got in the back seat. Kyle and Declan finished up and got in the truck. Kyle starts driving to his house.
