Two Months Later
I came back from Vegas with Julianna for her Bachelorette Party that I planned for her. We had a blast at Drias. We also went to a Magic Mike like show. I unlocked the door and went inside. "I'm home!" I said.
I see a note on the ottman. I picked it up. "Nita, I've been waiting for you to come home after being in Vegas for Julianna's Bachelorette Party. Today, I will be leaving you notes for what we'll be doing for the night. Right now, give yourself time to relax and draw a bath, then take yourself a little nap. You will get your next clue in couple of hours. Love, Declan," I read.
I put the note down and did what the note told me to do. I took my stuff upstairs, putting it in the washer to get them washed. Then I went to run the tub and I grabbed a bath bomb in my favorite scene of Japanese Cherry Blossoms.
A couple of hours later, I woke up from a nap. I heard a knock on the door. I headed down stairs and opened the door. "Angelina Marsden?" the florist said. "That's me," I said. She gives it to me. "Here you go and your next clue is in the envelope," she said.
"Thank you," I said. I took the roses and set it on the island and took the envelope out and read the next note. "After you had your bath and nap, Julianna will pick you up and take you to get your hair and makeup done. Your next clue will be there as well. Love Declan," I read.
I got my lazy clothes on and get my hair up in a ponytail. I see Julianna's car. I grabbed my coat and headed out the door
An half hour later, I was getting my hair recolored and styled up. I'm getting mermaid waves and getting it half up in braids. "Do you have any clue why you getting clues from Declan?" Julianna asked.
"To be honest, I really don't know what he has up his sleeve. It's not my birthday," I said. "Well that's true," Julianna said. I'm getting more confused. I looked at my phone as my hair was getting done.
"Ready to see your hair colored and styled?" Tara asked. "Yes!" I said. Tara turned me around and I looked in the mirror. "Looks great. Back to my old red hair color, no more bangs, and I got the waves I like," I said.
"Do you love it?" Tara asked. "So much. Thank you," I said, smiling. I grabbed my wallet and took money out. "You don't have to pay, someone already paid for it ahead of time," Tara said. "Oh thank you," I said.
"You're very welcome. Also, here is your next clue for Declan," Tara said, giving me the envelope. I grabbed my envelope and opened it up. "My love, I paid for your trip to the salon. Your next clue is, go back to the house, there is an outfit sped out for you. Put that on and your next clue will be there as well. Love Declan," I read.
"Well time to go back to the house," Julianna said. I nodded. "Thanks again, Tara," I said. Julianna and I left the salon. "Do I have to follow these clues? Because I'm staving," I said. "We can stop some where quick," Julianna said.
Twenty minutes later, I got back to the house. I headed upstairs to the bedroom and I looked at the clothes her laided out. I see the next clue. I opened it up. "Get dressed in the outfit. You're next clue is a service car will be picking you up and the driver will take you to wear I am at. See you soon for your final clue. PS, guess the smell that is on this clue and the next clue will be ready for when you arrive. Love, Declan," I read.
I sniffed the scene and it smelled like Japan Blossoms as I was getting my make up on first. Doing my signature look I usually do with black eye shadow and making sure it looks good.
Several minutes later, I got everything on that Declan layed out for me. I never wore the dress he laid out for me. I really love it. I got everything else on. I looked in the mirror and smiled.
"Declan, you did a good job, babe," I said to myself. I grabbed my phone and took a picture of myself and sent it to Declan. I grabbed a black lace shall to put over my shoulders and I put my coat on and sat on the couch until my car service arrives.
My phone dings and Declan replied; You beautiful, babe. Can't wait to see you and you get to see your final clue.
I heard a car horn honk. I looked out the window and I see a SUV and a woman in a pantsuit and I grabbed my clutch that was handed down from my Nani.
I headed out the door, locking it up and setting the alarms. "Good evening, Miss Marsden. I'm Olivia and I will be your driver. She opened the door and I got in the SUV like a celebrity. Olivia shuts the door and I see another envelope.
"Next clue," I said, picking it up and opening it. "Angelina, tonight's gonna be the night you will never forget. As soon as you get to the location, I will be waiting for you. See you soon, my love. Love Declan," I read.
Half an hour later, Olivia pulled up to the campus area. "Oh wow! Lark University," I said. I smiled. Olivia opened the door for me and I get out. Declan grabs my hand and I held it. "Let's go inside," he said.
We went inside. He took my coat off and gave it to the security. I adjusted the shall I have on. "You look more amazing. Right now, I have to put a blind fold for you on," he said. He put the blind fold on me and he held me close to him.
"I got you," he said. "Don't do anything foolish," I said. "I won't, I promise you are gonna love this," he said. I nodded and smiled as he lead me the way. I smiled softly and he stopped me for a minute.
"Why did you stop?" I asked. He took the blind fold off me and he revealed Japanese Cherry Blossom petals speared out every where. I looked around. "Oh my gosh, Declan, this is beautiful. Is this the garden area on Campus," I said, smiling.
He didn't speak. "Declan?" I asked, turning around and gasped as I saw him on his knee with a ring in it.
"Angelina Maria Marsden, will you do the honors of marrying me and being my wife?" he asked. I looked at him and kneeled down and kissed him deeply. "Yes, yes," I said, smiling. He smiled, putting the ring on my finger.
He got up and kissed me. He held me and kissed me deeply. "So that's why you been senting me clues?" I asked. "Yes, that what the clues were for," he said, smiling. "You did a good job, babe," I said, smiling. We continued to hug each other.
"Now, lets get to our dinner date as an engaged couple," he said. "Yes, I'm hungry," I said, smiling. We headed back to the SUV and Olivia was still waiting for us. We got in the car, sitting next to each other.
I put my coat back on since I am a bit cold. "So how does it feel to be engaged?" he asked. "It feels good. I can have the wedding that I always wanted and my parents can pay for it unlike RIley's mom," I said.
"Well the wedding should be about the couple getting married, not about Riley's mom. Now you can have that," he said. "Your mom would approve of me, would she?" I asked.
"Yes, she came into my dream and she told me that you were always the one for me. So I got your father's and Kyle's permisson to marry you and they accepted," he said.
"That's good. Riley didn't ask my father or Kyle for my permission," I said. "Ouch, his mistake," he said.
An hour later, Declan and I were having dessert right now with red velvet cake. "Red velvet cake is amazing," I said, smiling. "Kyle told me it was your favorite," he said. "Kyle knows me so well," I said.
"That's good. Would you do red velvet cake for our wedding?" he asked. "Actually, I was thinking Ice Cream for desserts," I said. "I actually love that idea. As long as we keep it cold," he said. "Oh they will have a portable freezer," I said.
He nodded. "Did you ever go dress shopping?" he asked. "Yes with my mom and Regina. I was trying on dresses and Regina was calling me fat, its too white, it's too small, it make you look fat and ugly. So I walked headed to the back and told her. Fuck this shit and left the bridal store," I said.
"Somethings no woman should say to their future mother in law," he said. "How did your mom and Melinda's mom get along?" I asked. "To be honest, they didn't get along and never saw eye to eye," he said.
"Aww...," I said. "Yeah so we kept our mothers apart from the wedding, Two months later, my mom was on her death bed and they apologize to each other and my mom forgave her. She also thanked my dad for being there for her. Then an hour later, my mom passed away with me, Coralina and my dad by herside. It was very hard on me mostly," he said.
"At least she got to see you married," I said. "I'm glad she did. Coralina know our mom will be there for hers in spirit," he said. "Same with me," I said, smiling.
