Gem's POV
I woke up to a swirling black void; I tried to get up but something held me back. Restraints, of course. The chains- they were there but at the same time it felt as if I could just walk away. Like how you left your empire to be destroyed? No, I didn't- everyone left, we all had to leave! You could have stayed. Could have saved everyone but yet here you are. I sighed figuring I couldn't retreat into my mind. Normally if a player retreated into their mind they could just go afk and wait it out but with that self doubt, grief, anger, etc. I couldn't. I could feel magic at my fingertips, waiting for the right moment that I could release it all but I can't, the chains hold me back. I growled a low angry growl. I didn't deserve to be here. I SHOULDNT be here. I shook my head clearing away the thoughts and whatever...that was. I shrugged it off and sat down. The black walls seemed to fade into each other in a almost hypnotic manner. I let out a sigh and pulled on the restraints. I had an idea. If I pulled on the restraints that's when they seemed solid enough to grab and if I grabbed them I could find where they came from. I attempted to grab onto the chain but my hand went through it. I pulled on the chain restraint harder and I felt a jolt of pain through my wrist. Blood dripped off the chain. "Well great." I muttered. At least I know where the chain is only issue: if the chain runs against the cut that's gonna hurt. Bad. Being a curios hermit I was a pulled. I screamed as lots of blood dripped from the chain. I looked and ah, yes that makes sense now. Apparently there's a blade in the chain and when you pull hard enough the blade comes out and cuts the skin, comes back in the chain, pull again and the blade gets moved up a centimeter and recuts the already cut skin. Fun.

Hey guys first chapter out, in my fashion it's short! :D I needed a short chapter for once. This is nice. Anyways I'm active for once in the past 7 hours omg! Hehe sorry about that *glances at the chaos in the background* give me on sec- *throws the chaos out the window onto the already smushed cake from last chapter of Teal* welp...I'm not getting that back.
