Chapter 9

|||The Next Day|||

Adelynn enters her classroom and takes her seat behind Haruhi, who's sat there smiling to herself.
"What's got you so happy?" Adelynn asks tapping on her shoulder.
"Do you not remember?" Haruhi asks
"Remember what?" Adelynn asks in confusion.
"Never mind." Haruhi said facing the front. Adelynn just shrugs and does the rest of her lessons for the morning. But Haruhi looked disappointed for the whole morning.
"Class, pick a partner for the worksheet." The teacher announces.
"Adelynn, I'm working with you" Hikaru said. Adelynn just looks at him
"Yeah, sure." So Hikaru moves his desk opposite Adelynn and start doing the worksheet. She sat there and finished it with him staring at her the whole time and by the time Adelynn finished he had only done two.
"What do you want?" Adelynn asks smiling at him.
"What do you mean?" Hikaru asks innocently.
"Hikaru Hittachin I know you planning something but you also picked me for a reason, is there something you need help with?" Adelynn asks placing her elbows on the table and placing her chin in her hands.
"Who are you giving your chocolates to? For valentines." Hikaru asks looking away
"You are such a Tsundere. . .To someone I like. Is that enough or do you want more." Adelynn asks with a raised eyebrow.
"We." Hikaru mumbles looking away.
"We?" Adelynn asks raising her eyebrow.
"Me and Karou are Tsundere." He said looking at Adelynn. Adelynn laughs a little at this, and a light shade of pink dust Hikarus cheeks.
"No, you are the Tsundere." Adelynn said poking his nose. He squirms and swats her finger again coursing Adelynn to sit there giggling.
"What? What's so funny?" Hikaru asks getting annoyed. Adelynn stops laughing and looks at him tilting her head slightly with a closed eyed smile.
"I'm glad your my friend." Adelynn said and by magic flowers appear around her.
"Hikaru." Karou whisper shouts getting both Adelynn and Hikarus attention. Then both boys put there hands up.
"Yes?" The teacher asks
"Can we go to the toilet?" They ask in unison.
"Please be quick," the teacher said and goes back to marking papers.
'This is annoying me. Just think of all the bad things about them, then I'll start hating them. Ugh! There so- Ugh! Tamakis a pain, Kyoyas noisy, Honeys two faced, Mori doesn't speak, Hikarus a tsundere, Karous so simpithetic and Haruhi. She's- shes. My- ugh! Why did this mission gets so hard. Why am I getting attached!

Because you want to be their friend
Shut up! Friends are useless

The twins came back and sat down. Adelynn sat there leaning back in her chair smiling, trying not to laugh. Hikaru lifts his head up and looks at her.
"What's so funny Adelynn?" He asks. Adelynn leans forward towards him and flicks his forehead.
"Baka." She said then leans back.
"Why did you do that?" He said holding his forehead with a pout. Adelynn shakes her head.
"So, Karou, do you know what's wrong with Haruhi?" Adelynn asks smiling at Karous face when Adelynn said his name.
"No, I'm Hikaru." Karous said furrowing his eyebrows.
"No, your Karou, I'm not an idiot." Adelynn said moving his fringe back to facing the left. Karou looks at her with wide eyes.
"What? You fringe just looks weird going right, it suits the left." Adelynn said running her fingers through his hair making it flat. Then she leans back admiring her work then looks at his face as he continues to stare at her.
"What? Staring rude, hasn't anyone every taught you people manners." Adelynn said smiling and gets up taking her sheet to the front. Karou looks to Hikaru as Hikaru does the same, blank expressions over there face. Communicating through there eyes. The same thought going through there minds.

This Girl Is Different

Everyone was in Music Room 3 for break and the normal things where  happening. Kyoya doing the financial works for the club, Honey-senpai eating cake with Mori-senpai watching over him, the twins bugging Haruhi and Tamaki trying to 'save' his 'daughter'. And Adelynn was sat next to Kyoya drinking tea.
"Kyoya?" Adelynn said placing down her tea.
"Hmm." Kyoya hums to signal he was listening.
"The Host Club is canceled after school." Adelynn said calmly, whilst Kyoya just scowls at her.
"We are not cancelling, due to your stunt yesterday we have to make up for the money we lost. So we cannot, unless you want the club to go into debt." Kyoya said pushing up his glasses with his full attention on Adelynn.
"We both know that the club could cancel for a month and still not be in debt. And it wasn't a question, it was a fact." Adelynn said taking her tea and drinking it.
"And how are you planning to tell are guests?" Kyoya asks pressing hard on the keys on his laptop in annoyance.
"I've already done it." Adelynn takes her phone out and waves it in front of him.
"Wow, I didn't know commoners could afford phones." Tamaki said staring in awe at the phone.
"There are a lot of thing you don't know about commoners." Adelynn said. Tamaki gets an idea and runs over to Haruhi.
"Do you have a phone Haruhi?" Tamaki asks.
"No. Stop touching me senpai!" Haruhi shouts in agitation as Tamaki holds her shoulders.
"Can we-" "Have your number?" The twins asks. Adelynn holds out her hand.
"Give me your phones." And the twins quickly hand her over both there flip phones.
"I can't believe you guys have flip phones." Adelynn said smiling at them.
"Why what's your Rose-chan?" Honey asks popping up.
"Mines a touch screen, an IPhone 6" She said taking a glance at the numbers and typing them in her phone and handing them back to them. Tamaki and Honey sat there giving her puppy dog eyes in front of her. Adelynn just stares at them and sighs and puts her hand out. Honey and Tanaki smile brightly and hand them back over once she found the numbers she wanted.
"Rose-chan?" Honey asks pulling her arm slightly to get her attention.
"Yes Honey-senpai." Adelynn said smiling at him.
"Do you have photographic memory?" He asks tilting his head to the side curly. Adelynn lifts her eyebrows up slightly.
"Yes." She said staring at him thinking that there's more to the question.
"Your like a super hero!" He shouts lifting his arms in the air.
"There's no record about that on your profile." Kyoya states getting all of the upperclassmen's attention.
"The only thing in my records are my grades, nothing else. So if you want to know something then you have to ask me." Adelynn said smirking at him.
"Wow, so Kyo-chan didn't know that much about you then?" Honey-senpai asks in wonder.
"His knowledge about me is the same as everyone else." Adelynn said smiling smugly at Kyoya.
"Guys!" Adelynn said smiling clapping her hands loudly to get the attention of her fellow club members.
"Today you are all coming back to Music Room 3, come at the normal time when the host club starts at the end of the day. And at lunch do not enter this room. If that is clear and you understand, I will see you at the end of the day." Adelynn said clapping her hands once more and the bell goes signalling the end of break. For the rest of the day the Host Club were left wondering what Adelynn is doing to the club room. The bell went signalling the end of the day at Ouran High School. Haruhi runs to the Music Room 3 as she was five minutes late. She ran to the room and flung open the doors leaning on her knees panting.
"Sorry 'pant' I'm late." Haruhi said breathing deeply. She then looks up to the club room in surprise. Gold and white streamers were all around the room and a big banner was across the room with 'Happy Birthday Haruhi' written across it, a long table was set up with different foods to pick at. And a big cake in the middle of the room which has two tears with chocolate mouse and strawberries on it. Haruhi stood there amazed at the room.
"Surprise. Happy birthday Haruhi." A voice said, and Haruhi turns around facing Adelynn who's leaning up against the door frame. Haruhi let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in.
"This is. . . You remembered?" Haruhi asks not sure what to say.
"Remeber what? I never forgot." Adelynn smiles cheekily at Haruhi. Haruhi just stares at her then slowly walks up to her then turns into a sprint and gives Adelynn a jump hug.
"Thank you so much." Haruhi said gripping more tightly.
"Alright, calm down." Adeline said prying Haruhi off her. "Now then," Adelynn said looking into Haruhis eyes. "Who wants some food?" Adelynn said. Five minutes later the boys heard laughing from the Club room and opened the room to find Adelynn and Haruhi sitting on the sofa eating food on paper plates. Adelynn stands up and walks up to them with her arms out with a smile across her face.
"Greetings fellow club members. Welcome, to Haruhi's birthday party." She said as her smile grow wider.
"So this is what you were up to?" Kyoto mumbles
"My daughter, why did you tell me it was your birthday? Daddy didn't get you a present!" Tanaka said grabbing Haruhis shoulders with tears pouring down his face.
"Senpai get off me, and your not my dad!" Haruhi complains getting irked.
"How did you-" "Know it was Haruhis birthday?" The twins asks Adelynn.
"She told me, the same time she told the rest of you." Adelynn said raising her eyebrows. Then she gasped raising her hand to her mouth in mock shock. "Don't tell me!" She said and looked around at all the Hosts. "You all forgot." She said said laughing slightly with a smirk on her face. "By default I am Haruhis closest friend." She said quick running over to Haruhi and stuck her tongue out at Tamaki who went to his emo corner.
"You guys sit down and I will get the cake." Adelynn shouts as she turns to the two tear chocolate cake.
"Did you guys do this?" Haruhi asks
"No, we had no idea. Adelynn did this by herself." Tamaki said, they all turn to Adeline who's talking to Honey-senpai and Mori-senpai.
"By herself." Haruhi whispers. "All this by herself." Haruhi said widening her eyes looking around the room. One girl did all this to the room in the matter of one hour, seeming last lesson was free period.
"She may not seem like it half the time." Hikaru said laughing a bit at remembering things like when Adelynn whines them up or teases all of them.
"But she really does care." Karou said smiling as well, as they all think back to Adelynn. Adelynn stands there laughing as Honey-senpai trying to pick at the strawberries and Mori-Senpai picking up the cake taking it over to the table that the sofa and the two arm chairs surrounded. Adelynn takes out a packet of match sticks and lights the candles. Adelynn sits back down in the armchair she loves so much as the Host Club sings happy birthday to Haruhi and she blows out the candles.
"Now time for commoners food!" Adelynn said as she looks at all the Host with happy expressions, except Kyoya and Mori, and they shot to the table filled with nibbles. They stood there in awe at all the food and paper plates. Mori, Kyoya, Haruhi and Adeline all stayed seated at the sofas.
"So, has your dad given you any presents yet?" Adelynn asks sitting on the edge of the arm chair.
"Yes." Haruhi sighs rolling her eyes. "He got me a pink frilly dress." Adelynn smiles even more at Haruhis disgust in the present. "And he got me a photo album." Haruhi smiles, actually pleased with that present.
"Really? I love them." Adelynn smiles. "And I can give you some photos." Adelynn said smiling.
"What's so special about a photo album." Hikaru said seating himself next to Haruhi with his food filled with plate.
"You won't understand." Adelynn said turning away [ -3- with a face like this]. "It's a girl thing." She said as got up and went over to the food to talk to Karou.
"Got enough chips for that sauces." She said as she watched him pile up the salsa on his plate. He looked at her, then the food, then her again.
"No." He just carried on dumping salsa on his plate. Adelynn picks up a potato chip and dips it in his salsa. He pouts.
"Mine." He said and pulled the plate closer to himself protecting it like its his baby. She pouts two and taps his nose.
"You look so cute like that." She said then smiled and picks up a plate putting food on it. Whilst Adelynn talks to Karou the rest of the host are sat on the sofas.
"Thanks you, I wouldn't of thought you would of gone this far." Haruhi said smiling.
"What do you mean Haru-chan, we haven't don't anything." Honey said tilting his head.
"You mean Adelynn did this by herself." Haruhi asks looking at the boys.
"Yes, she seemed to have done this all by herself. No help at all." Kyoya said as they all look at Adelynn talking to Karou.
"So none of you new it was my birthday?" Haruhi asks. Tamaki sat there shocked staring at Haruhi.
"I'm so sorry! Daddy didn't get his daughter anything! I'm a terrible daddy!" Tamaki shouts grabbing Haruhis leg, crouching in front of her with anime tears streaming down his face.
"Yes, your are a terrible daddy." Adeline states sending Tamaki to his emo corner. "Oh! Present!" Adeline shouts grabbing her bag and taking out a small box with a ribbon around it. Adeline sat there smiling handing over the box to Haruhi. Tamaki came back over, leaning over the back of the sofa to see what Haruhi got, Hikaru and Karou sat at the edge of there chair, Honey was leaning over Haruhis arm and Kyoya and Mori just sat there in there chair. . . Such a surprise. When Haruhi opens it, there laying in the box is. . .
