Chapter 3- Whatever it takes
"Nifty little place you got here, babe." Sideswipe whispers to himself as he looks around her home.
It isn't until he pulls up close to the barn, that Clarissa notices the sleek red machine from the kitchen window. Her blood boils over. She puts on her boots and storms outside. Sideswipe is to busy looking at the horses to notice the fuming blonde coming up behind him. His alt almost jumps when hears knocking on his driver side window.
"Scrap." He mumbles. She continues to knock.
"Hello you in there! Roll your window down. Your trespassing." She yells.
"Feisty isn't she." He laughed to himself. He decided to humor her, and he turned on his holoform, rolling down his window.
"Well well, I finally get to meet my challenger." He said to her. She seems to freeze for a moment, taking in Sideswipes human form. He had a beautiful white smile, that seemed to make his whole face glow. He had a perfect chiseled jaw and high cheekbones. His hair was red mop on his head but gave him that bad boy image. And his eyes, his glowing blue eyes, were as blue as the ocean, she could get lost in them. "Um..your trespassing." She stammered a bit, trying to keep her ground. "Oh, I'm sorry, but I just couldn't let you get away again." He sent a stunning smile to her, making her cheeks begin to glow red. She cleared her throat trying to compose herself. "Well Now you've met me, now you can leave." She huffed putting her hands on her hips. "I haven't even gotten your name yet." He whined, pouting his lip a little bit and made his eyes bigger.
"You don't need to know my name. Just get off my property." She turns her head away, knowing if she continues to look at him, she might just falter.
Sideswipe knows he is getting to her. Her rosy cheeks give it away and how she won't make eye contact. She hears the click of the door unlocking the door and the sport cars door opens wide, Sideswipe stepping out. She backs away but can't stop herself from looking him over. Tight red t-shirt clinging to his sculpted chest, a pair of blue jeans hug his hips and red and black convers finish the look. He closes the door and stands tall in front of her. She wants to back away but can't get her legs to move.
He closes the distance between them and whispers into her ear in a low sexy voice, "I think we both know you don't want that."
Her breath hitches for a moment. Her mouth open, unsure of what to say. He leans back against his alt, arms and legs crossed, a mischievous smirk lays across his lips. She attempts to speak multiple times, but still nothing comes out.
So, Sideswipe decides to start. "My name is Side...Sam. My name is Sam. Yours?"
She shakes her head, getting herself back in the game and said, "I think you should leave."
She walks around his car and walks towards the house.
"What why? I thought we were having a moment there." He says as he follows her.
"What moment? There was no moment. I need you to get off my property." She keeps walking, not giving Sideswipe the time of day.
"Can I at least get your name before I go?" He stops her by grabbing her arm.
"Let me go!" She shouts yanking her arm out of his grasps.
"Fine, but I'll be back. I'm not going to give up." He states pointing a finger at her. She rolls her eyes at him and continues to walk away.
"Don't bother." She yells without turning back.
"You'll give in eventually." He yells back, walking backwards to his alt form, laughing as she shakes her head and walks into the house.
He can't stop the smile that shines on his face. He gets in his alt and his holoform evaporates. He turns around in her driveway and does a burnout before leaving.
"God she is even more beautiful up close." He remanence as he drives back to the scrapyard.
Meanwhile Clarissa stands behind her front door, holding her chest, trying to get her breathing and heart rate under control. Sweat is slowly making its way down the side of her face, making her hair stick to her forehead and cheeks. She wipes her hair back as she gets ahold of her breathing.
"This is going to be so hard." She whispers to herself.
She heard the car do a burnout before he left. Part of her wants to be mad, but she can't help but smile. She pushes herself off the door and walks towards the kitchen to get a glass of water.
"I didn't know their holoforms could make them so fucking sexy. That is not right." She says to herself.
The next few days for her were troubling. It was very hard for her to focus on her job or anything for that matter. At this moment she is practicing on the track for a race she has coming up. After another lap she pulls into the pit area and to her station.
"Clarissa, that's the slowest I've ever seen you go. What the hell?" Tyler complains to her the moment she takes off her helmet.
"My mind is just somewhere else." She admits.
"It better not be because of that Autobot." He warns, pointing a finger at her.
She looked away as a guilty grin formed on her face. He reared back in anger, growling low.
"Clarissa, what did I tell you? You know the rules. You signed a contract."
"I know!" She shouts cutting him off. Other racers happened to look over as she yelled. She got off the bike and pushed Tyler into the garage area.
"I know I'm not supposed to. It's just hard when he followed me home the other day and he used his holoform on me acting like he was an actual human." She says through gritted teeth.
"Oh great." He ran his hand over his face in distress.
"He has no idea I know." She feels like she had to beg to see Sam.
"It doesn't matter. You can't see him. Especially if he's trying to be romantic with you. You have to put an end to it." Tyler orders. "Now get back out there and give a good lap this time."
She groans but does as told. She storms out to the pit and got on her bike, leaving a rubber trail as she does a burnout out of the pit.
Sideswipe was able to get away from the scrap yard again by going out on patrol. His first stop was to her house, hoping she was home. When he got no answer at the door, he started to think of another place he would be able to find her. He remembered quickly, the track he saw her at the second time they ran into each other. Without looking back, he gained high speeds into town. He could care less about the speed limit or traffic laws, he is a bot on a mission. Cars honk, and people shout at him as he drives past. His tires screeching as he took corners. He can see the track in sight. His spark humming with excitement.
"Sideswipe." A call came over his com link.
Sideswipe groans but answers. "Sideswipe here."
"Where are you? Get back to the scrap yard. We need to train."
"Just a few more minutes?" He pleads.
"No, get back here now"
"Yes, Bee." He grumbles and cuts off the link.
With a heavy spark, he turns around and heads back to the yard. He got all excited, for his spark to get crushed. He decides to go the long way home and follow the speed limit.
Clarissa finishes putting her gear away and grabs her helmet to head home.
"I'm sorry about earlier. But I just want to protect you." Tyler says as she heads to the door.
"I know." She whispers.
She gives him a sad smile and walks out the door. Hopping on her bike, she revs and takes off down the street towards home. Before she got to the first corner, she notices a red flashy car taking a right. She can't help but wonder if it is 'Sam'.
