Chapter 13 - All I know is that I'm all yours
"That's it, Stacy. You're getting the hang of it." Clarissa calls out to a young blonde headed women who had a blue streak going through her hair. Her eyes are wide with excitement and a huge smile held on her face. This is her second time riding. It has been hard to find time with missions and Clarissa's racing tour.
"Russel, watch out for the bushes." She yells over her shoulder to the small boy riding Jack. Drift, Bee, Denny and Sideswipe stand leaning against the fencing to the pasture they were riding in.
"Want to try trotting this time?" Clarissa holds onto a lead line for Strongarm, making sure Koda behaves.
"Um...Are you sure that is safe?" Strongarm asks nervously, tightening her hold onto the horn of the saddle.
"I promise it is safe. Just hold on, pull back on the reins if you feel uncomfortable." Strongarm gives her a nod.
"Alright, kick with your heels and click your tongue." Explains Clarissa.
Everyone watches intently to see how this would turn out. Even Russel stopped Jack to watch. Strongarm kicked her heels into the side of Koda and nothing happened.
"Harder. You can't be afraid to hurt him. He can handle it." Clarissa encourages. Strongarm tries again and again, but the horse won't go.
"Koda" Clarissa warns the horse.
Strongarm clicks her tongue and kicks as hard as she could. Koda begins to trot in the circle. Everyone cheered for their teammate.
"Good job. Keep giving him light kicks to remind him to stay trotting."
"Iiisss iiit suppppossssed ttttoo bbbeee thhhiiiissss buummppyy." Strongarm bounces on the back of Koda, holding on for dear life.
Clarissa let out a laugh. "Yes, just try to bounce with his gait."
"I want to trot!" Russel exclaims, walking Jack again.
"Go for it, do what I told Stacy." As Clarissa works with the two, Sideswipe couldn't keep his eyes off the cowgirl.
He had yet to try and win her back. She is all he can think about. He knows she thinks about him too. He notices when she sends a glance his way or catches her looking at him. When she walks close to him, accidently bumping him and immediately apologizing. The sad look in her eye the moment she sees him.
Its close to the end of the day and they all help Clarissa with putting the horses away. The others waited outside, while she put the rest of the tack away. As she walks out of the tack room, she almost runs into Sideswipe.
"Sam? Why are you standing right next to the door?" She asks, keeping her eyes anywhere but on him.
"We need to talk?" He is hard to hear, for his voice is barely a whisper.
"No, we don't." She states, then attempts to walk around him. He stops her by grabbing her arm.
"Yes, we do. I can't stop thinking about you, Clarissa." He makes her look at him, grabbing her chin, creating eye contact. There is a long pause and when he thinks she won't turn and walk away, he lets go.
"Please, I'm sorry for what I did. I know it wasn't fair for you. I should have tried to contact you. I'm so sorry. Please let me make it up to you. I can't breathe without you. I can't think straight. I need you by my side. Half of me is missing and I only feel whole when your near."
She stops him with her lips connecting to his.
His eyes go wide at the action, but it doesn't take long for him to melt into the kiss. Wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her into him. She grips the back of his neck, pulling him close. Their lips pressed together, molding to each other. The hunger and burning desire for each other sparks the flame within their souls. Sideswipe's spark is humming loud and proud, brightened by her and this moment. Clarissa can't stop her heart from beating fast and hard against her chest. He caresses up and down her back, taking in what he has missed for the past month and half.
"I'm sorry too." She whispers as she slowly pulls away, staring up at him. He smiles, something hasn't done in weeks.
"I will always forgive you."
"Sam! Let's go!" Bee shouts from outside the barn. He snaps his head to look outside, then back at her. A guilty smile plays on his lips.
"Go. Call me later." She doesn't give him a chance to speak, already know what he is going to say.
"I will." He kisses her forehead and jogs out of the barn, Clarissa slowly walking out behind him.
She watches as they all climb into their respected vehicles. She leans against the opening to the barn, not hiding the fact that she is staring at the gorgeous red sports car hanging back from the group as they drive away.
Once out of sight, she pulls out her phone to call Tyler. She is so excited she can't hold it in and just has to tell someone. He answers on the second ring.
"Hey what's up?" He asks on the other side.
"Sam and I got back together." She all but shrieked into the receiver.
"I thought you said it would be better if you two aren't together?" He wonders, she can hear his eyebrow pushing upward.
"I know, I know, but we can't stay away from each other. He apologized and wants to try again. I couldn't say no." She explains.
"Just be careful. I don't want you to get hurt."
"I know, thank you. I'll see you tomorrow for practice."
They said goodbyes and hung up and she continued to jump for joy.
*With Sideswipe*
The team is driving down the road back to the scrapyard. Sideswipe still lags behind, thinking about what just happened.
"So?" Strongarms voice awoke him from his daydream, surprising him.
"Ah! So, what?" He gives a slight snarl.
"You know what? Did you talk to Clarissa?" She pokes at him, wanting to know the gossip.
"She said yes. We are back together." He says sweetly.
Strongarm can't help but coo in cuteness over the two. "She is so perfect for you and way more fun." She teases before gunning it up to the front of the pack. Sideswipe doesn't have time to react, because he is left in the dust for once.
The crew gets back to the scrapyard. Circling around the command center, Fixit and Grimlock waiting patiently for them to return. The questions explode from them, the minute they transform and gather closer together.
"So, how was the ride? Did you all have fun? When can I come and try? Is it true that horses can see in color, not black and white?" Fixit continues to rattle off question after question. Sideswipe didn't even start listening, he sat down, elbow resting on his knee and his helm is off in la la land.
"When you going to tell her?" Sideswipe took himself out of his daydream and looked up at his leader. Bee takes a seat next to him, waiting for an answer.
"Do you think I should?" Sideswipe looks to the gravel ground, kicking a few stones away with his pede.
"I don't think you should, but if you want to be serious with her. She should know. She seems trustworthy. Only do it if your confident that she is the one." Bee suggests.
"I am." Sideswipe answers with a smile, looking to at his leader.
"Just be careful." Bee pats him on the back and gets up, leaving Sides to his thoughts.
Bee walks a few steps away before Sideswipe stands up. "I'll be back." He shouts quickly as he converts into his alt and speeds off.
He comes to a stop once in his girls driveway. He onlines his holoform and tries to bring his spark rate down before getting out of the vehicle. He lets out a few unsteady breaths, grabs his door handle and slowly steps out. He looks around and sees the barn doors open and music playing from inside. He sets his course and walks quickly.
"Now give them bare feet dancing down the hallway, Smiling at me running your finger down the wall, You know what I want, I got what you need, Take it from me, Baby, you should stop right now, right here, Right where we wanna be I'll spin you around and let's just see, Where this thing goes, all I know is that I'm all yours, all night, I've got nothing but time" played through the speakers that hung around the barn.
She has yet to notice her boyfriend leaning against the side of the opening to the barn. He watches her dance to the song and sing along as she bushes Koda. A frown forms on his beautiful face, thinking about what he has to do.
"Oh! Hey babe, I thought you had work." She doesn't stop her brushing, but now her attention is on him.
"Clarissa, I have to tell you something." Sideswipe says. She puts the brush down and walks over to him, wiping her hands on her jeans.
"I've been keeping something from you, for you own safety, only now I've grown to like you more than I thought I would. Come with me. I need to show you something." He takes hold of her hand and pulls her outside. She hesitates for a moment, thinking about where this might be going, and it makes her extremely happy. His alt mode is sitting outside the barn and walks towards it. He let go of her hand, his back to her.
"First my name isn't Sam. Its Sideswipe."
She raises her eyebrow at him and crosses her arms. Without looking at her, he let himself fizzle into thin air. She does jump a little in surprise not expecting it. Though, she doesn't flinch back, as she watches him transform into a giant metal being. Her face holds a smug little smile. Knowing that secret is out now.
Sideswipe now stands over her in his real form. Looking down at her. She never jumped, screamed or freak out.
"Why aren't you scared of me?" he kneels down in front of her, confusion showing on his face.
"I already knew." She states.
"What? How?" He is shocked.
"I recognized the Autobot symbol the first time I saw you." She says, but upon seeing his face, she gave a sigh and continued, "I think there is something I should tell you." She put her hands down and behind her back and walked forward.
"I used to work with the Autobots many years ago. I was an agent. I didn't work as closely as one of my other coworkers, but I did know them." She states, trying to give him a convincing smile.
"Why didn't you tell me?" he seems to whisper. She can't tell if its disappointment or sadness.
"I'm not sure. I am not allowed to talk about my time working as an agent. I guess I wasn't sure if I should just right out say I knew what you were. I also didn't want to be wrong. Then I started just enjoying your company and I just never found the right time." She shrugs, telling him the truth.
He transforms and brings his holoform back online.
"So, does that mean you're okay dating an alien?" He asks sweetly, moving closer to her, wrapping his arms around her waist.
"I never thought I would end up liking one. I would love to continue to date you."
She smiles up at him and he leans down and gives her a kiss on the lips. She clings to his shirt, pushing deeper into the kiss. It is like an electric shock coursed through their body in a single kiss. It makes them want to be closer to each other. Afraid the spark will fade away if they weren't. The one thing that never seems to change between them. Their kisses always feel like the first.
