Act 8: Special Senshi Princess
X's P.O.V.
"So, X," Larry began rather nervously. "I gathered new information regarding this Sailor Neol character... and I have put together a plan that can help us with our problems."
"Yes?"
"Figuring out her identity, who she is... that can help us gain her energy and her vessel for the Mistress."
"Wait, what?"
"Were you not there when Chrysta stole my work, presented it to the Mistress, and was told that Sailor Neol was in fact the very host she needs?"
"Uh.... I was not informed such a thing took place..."
"Well, back to what I was saying, to help us find out her identity, I've put together the data we have on her. She seems to like to stay with the crowd and not stand out, as she is rather peculiar and... otherworldly, based off her lack of depth perception from your information you gave me regarding her fall when trying to jump a gap between buildings during one of your fights. She is curious, yet cautious, and tries to go with the flow, except when it comes to harm unto unarmed, defenseless-"
"DON'T EVEN BRING THAT UP, LARRY!"
Claire's P.O.V.
I walked out of my apartment building to go to school when I saw a familiar face.
"Serenity!" I waved to her.
"Claire! I didn't know you lived nearby!"
"I actually live in this building over here."
We eventually decided to walk to school together and arrived rather early, so Serenity decided to introduce me to some friends of hers. She had a lot and it was kind of hard to remember their names... I only remember Mira.
"Hey Serenity," Mira began. "I saw an advertisement in a magazine lately advertising a princess trainer... apparently anyone can become a princess, but only one may represent a House of Royalty!"
"What are you suggesting?" Serenity asked with a slight smile.
"You, Serenity! You should become a princess! You're perfect for it!"
"I can't! I don't even know how!"
"Well, we kind of already signed you up."
"MIRA!"
"Don't worry! It doesn't conflict with your schedule!"
So... Serenity, after school, was getting ready for the princess thing.
"Claire, I just can't do this alone! I'm confident in myself, but not THAT confident! I don't know how long this may be!" She then probably got some crazy idea and then turned to me, suddenly rather happy. "Claire, do you mind doing this with me?"
"WHAT?" That's her crazy idea. "NO! I had enough of being a princess for a lifetime! There is no way I'd ever-"
"You don't mind? Yippee!" Oh... the things I do for Serenity...
After she wrote letters to some people saying she was leaving for the princess thing and may not be back for some time, a black "vehicle" thing arrived outside the door to Serenity's house.
Serenity stepped out, ready for anything princess-like, whereas I was carrying a couple cases that store Serenity's things while Cordelia sits on my head.
"My lady," the guy who probably brought the black vehicle thing said, opening a door of sorts for her with a bow.
"Thank you, gentlemen." she is acting like an Earthian princess already. After she got in, he closed the door.
He opened something at the back and motioned me to come over. He then took each of the cases, one by one, and put them in there. He closed it and then walked around to another door, opening it.
"Miss."
"Thank you." I hesitantly stepped in, being mindful of the fact that Cordelia was still on my head. I don't think I am in the same room thing as Serenity, but that's alright.
"So, Cordelia..." I began after a while. "You're probably smart and educated on Earth culture stuff. Do you mind explaining what happened out there?"
"Well, we are currently in a limo of sorts heading to some grand isolated lodge, based off my knowledge. Serenity's luggage is in the trunk, that place in the back. Serenity is in the main quarters, the driver is driving in the drivers quarters, and I believe we are in a service quarters if we are dividing it that way. Serenity has the ability to talk to the driver and open the window allowing us to converse with her, which she strangely has not done yet. I am quite surprised that I'm allowed in this limo, because most of the time, things seem to be "no cats allowed" these days."
"That was... informative."
We arrived what felt like a forever later. I couldn't tell what time of day it was until the door was opened for me. It was the afternoon. As I was getting the luggage from the trunk, I heard Serenity yawn before stepping out of the limo. I guess she got some sleep, as any person with common sense would.
We walked inside and I was instantly shocked by how grand it was. I heard a loud thud and realized that I just dropped all of Serenity's luggage. So embarrassing. One of the people from the sidelines stepped in to help me pick everything up.
And I saw his face.
"Maxwell Zuki," I began. "How come you seem to be everywhere?"
"I follow where the wind takes me, milady. Here is the last of your luggage."
"It's actually not mine. I'm simply carrying it for Serenity." I then saw Serenity had started leaving me behind. "Wait up!" Before chasing after her I looked at the kind boy one last time with a smile. "Thank you again. For everything."
When I caught up with her, Cordelia was just barely hanging on to my shoulder and Serenity had stopped at a door.
"This'll be my room for the next unknown amount of time, it seems," she said. "You, apparently registered now as my personal handmaiden, will be staying in the service quarters downstairs. Sorry."
"It's alright. Besides, cats aren't allowed in the princess suites," I said, pointing at a sign.
After I helped Serenity unpack, I went downstairs to the service quarters and found rooms labeled with the surnames of... the "princesses" I think.
"Cordelia, what's Serenity's surname again?" I asked.
"Shimura."
"Right."
I found the room that I was to be residing in and instantly crashed on the chair after closing the door.
"You're that tired?"
"I'm just exhausted... Serenity has a lot of stuff and I couldn't sleep on the drive like she did."
"Well, maybe you can explain why you don't have your own stuff?"
"I forgot?"
"...There's a briefing and tour for the servants in an hour, so I'll let you rest. But first, I'll help you with a quick, effortless outfit change.That pen you won at the arcade is a disguise pen and can change your look to suit a role."
"Okay. How does it work?"
"I... don't know. Most disguise pens get their strength from a moon."
"Neol's moon... Tyri..."
"Don't forget some sort of adjective. Serenity always does that anyway."
"Okay. Tyri Power, change me into a lovely handmaiden!"
"Why that one?"
"When translated to a rather ancient tongue of the Neolians, it means 'gifted with luck', and I'll be needing much of that."
~~~~~~~~~~
Indeed you will, Claire.
To be continued next act.
Bye!
