All Fall Down

Robbie knew he shouldn't be surprised that Harry left him.  Harry wanted him to choose, not be a side piece.  Still, it wasn't a good feeling getting dumped.  Harry had been in this position before, he should understand that this was a delicate process.

Emma walked into the room.  Robbie tried to put on a smile.  "What are you up to?"

"I have to go out of town for a couple of days," Emma said.  "I have to leave right away."

Out of town? "Really?" Robbie perked up.  "Can I give you a ride to the airport?" Already he was planning something with Harry.

Emma glared at him.  "Don't you want to know why I'm leaving?"

"Of course.  Is everything alright?" Robbie asked, concerned as he tried to read her mood.

"Just fine," She seemed stiff and somewhat cold.  "I have some personal matters that need my attention."

Well if she wasn't going to tell him, then why ask if he wanted to know? Women.  "Is there anything I can do?"

"No."

Robbie studied Emma as she moved around, and for the first time realized that he wasn't attracted to her.  He hadn't been in a long while.  He had thought he was, kept fooling himself into thinking she was but he had no desire to be with her.  They haven't slept together in weeks now.  She had been the one asking, he had been the one refusing.  It was exhausting trying to come up with new excuses.

Emma returned to the room with her purse and overnight bag.  She was dressed in a conservative outfit with her hair twisted up.  Robbie had always loved the classy way she dressed.  She was a perfectionist.

"Are you sure I can't give you a ride?" he asked as he stepped towards her.

Emma shook her head.  "I'm good, I can get an Uber." She leaned towards him for a kiss.  He gave her a short awkward peck on the lips.

"Have a safe trip."

As soon as Emma left Robbie sat back down and returned to his thoughts.  Things weren't the same anymore.  The fire with Emma wasn't there anymore.  Was it ever there at all?

Then Robbie thought about Taylor, his first kiss ever.  Kissing Taylor had been so exciting for him.  Later when he started kissing other girls he found no comparison. Nothing came close to what he felt when he kissed a boy.  It was the same for sex.  With Emma it was just routine, going through the motions.  He felt as if he was mostly performing just to impress her.

Then he thought about Harry.  Just touching him gave him unimaginable pleasure.  Indescribable.  Robbie had to face the fact he had been hiding ever since that day when Grandfather caught him and Taylor.  Sooner or later.  He wasn't ready to go there yet.

Robbie picked up the phone and dialed Harry's cell.  He had to see him, hear his voice, even if Harry told him to get lost.

Harry answered on the fifth ring.  "What is it, Robbie?"

"I just realized something," Robbie said.

"What's that?"

"I think I might be gay." Robbie blurted out.

"No shit." Harry shot back.  "Tell me something else I didn't already know, like what color is the sky."

Robbie was taken aback.  "Didn't you hear me? I just made a confession about my sexuality."

"And the LGBT community thanks you for that."

"Come on, Harry." Robbie pleaded.  "That took a lot for me to admit that.  I wasn't ready to open that door yet."

Harry was quiet as he thought about what Robbie said.  True, it was a process.  Plus Robbie had a lot at stake.  "So what are you going to do now?"

"Can you come over?"

"We're on a break, remember?"

"Just to talk," Robbie said.  "I just want us to hang out and stuff."

"What kind of stuff?" Harry asked.

"Jesus! You and your dirty mind.  I just want to talk about this, get some advice and what not."

"What about Emma?" Harry asked.

"She's going out of town today," Robbie said.  "She won't be back for a couple of days.  Don't worry about her.  Can you come over? Please?"

Harry had to think.  He did want to see Robbie, but what if it was more than that? It was getting very difficult keeping his feelings in check, and Robbie wasn't making things easier.

"Just to talk?"

"Yes."

"I'll be there in ten."

Robbie quickly rushed to his room to comb his hair and fix himself up.  Should he change his shirt? No, it was fine.  He didn't know why he felt so excited about seeing Harry.  Then he had a realization.  When did he last felt like this about Emma? Great, now he felt guilty.

The doorbell rang.  His heart leaping, Robbie rushed to the door and let Harry in.

For a while they stood there, staring at each other.  So many feelings went through them. Then Robbie took Harry's hand and led him into the living room.  Robbie said the first thing that popped into his head.  It was the same thing he remembered saying to Harry before.

"Clothes off."

Robbie knew he had promised Harry that there would be no funny business.  But promises were always broken.

"What about our talk?" Harry asked.

"We can talk after," Robbie said.

Harry stripped off everything.  He didn't wear much, Robbie noticed.  Good for them, less work.  Harry lay on the sofa.  Robbie removed his own clothes, then knelt on the floor in front of him.  He admired Harry's body, marvelling at how beautiful and perfect he was.

"You're amazing." Robbie said before leaning in for a kiss.  He placed kisses everywhere, on his lips, neck, and chest.  His hands roamed all over.  He wanted to take his time to simply worship Harry and everything about him.

As Robbie bent his head below, he felt Harry tap his head.  Maybe he wanted more.  Robbie continued with what he had planned.  Harry tapped harder.

"Stop." Harry said.

"You know you love it." Robbie murmured.

"Robbie, stop now!"

Robbie heard the forcefulness in Harry's voice.  Was this a new game? He raised his head and looked up at him.  Harry was looking away from him, fear on his face.  Mystified, Robbie followed his stare.

Standing at the entrance of the living room was Emma.
