The day Len Kagamine transfered beside me

A/N: I DO NOT OWN VOCALOID! This story has been around for a while...and I need ta edit it XDD

---------------------------------------------

Rui's (Rin) POV

Hi there. My name is Kagamine Rin, as cliche as that sounds. I'm not really good with introductions.

Most might recognize me as the famous singer, an idol of sorts that does all basic things like modeling, singing, concerts, interviews and all those what not. I'm not really proud with my looks but I gotta appreciate what I have—blonde hair that stops just above my shoulders, blue eyes, petite build for a flat chested teenager, also, clothing that consisted mostly of yellow and orange.

Then here's the thing, when I go to school, I always wear a black colored wig and a pair of red contacts and I changed my name to Rui Kagane so no one would really know what I do for a living. I don't want people's attention while I wanted nothing of alike, I'm just trying to finish school and be normal as I can be. A disguise to cover up my real identity is a shot to blending in at my case.

Aaaand also, another thing: I'm a pure blooded vampire but no one knows. No one should know. I'd rather not tell anyone as I can be an easy target, well, easier since I can't really reveal what I am without letting anyone know I am an idol as well. I'd rather keep things simple and hidden because I have no parents to take care of me, and tell me what's the proper thing to do outside and inside the house or back stage. They died a long time ago and from a car accident...at least that's what they told me. Unless that car accident pierced their hearts, I find it rubbish.

I was in the classroom, staring out at the window again as I waited for the morning bell but suddenly my best friend, Miku, shouted my name while waving at me with a large smile on her face.

"RUIIII~~~!!!!!!!!"

Ah of course, Miku Hatsune is quite a diva in school. known for her notorious locks of teal and her cheery spirit, I wonder myself why she's not in a cheer leading team.

"Don't shout my name Miku." I told her off with a smile, turning down to my book I pretended to read.

"Hehehe" she smiled back and plopped down at her desk in front of mine.

"Anyway, why are you calling me Miku?" I asked, wondering why would she be noisy early in the morning but that's her charms that I learned to know for my while of going to school.

"Oh... Did you know that Kagamine Rin will have a concert at our school during school festival?" She asked. I forgot to tell you, Miku is my number one fan and she has always loved 'Rin Kagamine' because she's a good singer she says. Sure, if you only know how rude I am to my fanbase sometimes.

Well, I am flattered but it can be scary to hang around your number one fan and be her best friend knowing that doesn't really know who you are. One slip and you're dead. Metaphorically speaking. I can't really die.

"Yeah. I know that." I replied and smiled at her as real as I could just to hide the fact that I wanted to laugh how silly she looks when she's too excited.

The bell rang for class at last. Everyone sat on their own spots around the room, some being rowdy, some silent like I am.

Our class adviser, Miss Luka, came in on time as always with her class records at hand. Miku fixed herself at her chair while I just placed my head on my hand, and looked out the window again and diverting my attention away from class. Well, if you've been through this same school level for so many times, it just comes naturally for you.

"Good morning class we have a new student with us today." I wasn't that glad to hear that, but I listened anyways, wanting to know because of mere curiosity. Well, transfer students in the middle of the year--it can make one curious enough.

"Can you please come in?" The new student came in, and my eyes widened in surprise to know and see who it was. What ho!

He's Len, the second on the bilboard ranks, guy with good looks that can probably take him at different places. Most of the girls went a little crazy, but they didn't jump up and down their chairs like obsessed people. I was shocked at most but I never went love-crazed for a guy who only got good looks, voice and career. Heck, I know I'm better than him so I didn't really pay attention..well, I tried not to.

"Yes some of you guys might know him as Len Kagamine but he just wants be just a normal boy, right Mister Kagamine?" Luka-sensei explained what the guy was doing in a school like this and Len looked at the class for approval who gladly said yes to his request. As if, an idol in a school? He will never have peace from his fan girls. If he was smart, even though he's not, he should have disguised or went to a private academy instead.

I got a good look at him then and noticed how similar he is with my looks and the probably difference I saw was that he was a boy. A little creepy but I can live with it.

The teacher asked Len to choose a chair and there weren't really any vacant ones except for the free seat next to the weirdo by the window which would be me so he didn't really have any choice, now does he? He sat next to me and I prayed hard that he won't notice me buuut...

"Hi," he said. I looked at him and stared. I stared hard enough to look like I'm drilling nails on his head. Easy to do with a little trick of my ability but let's not cause a scene.

"Hi," I looked at him with a smile, well, forced a smile at least. He smiled back, and we started to work on things that Luka-sensei instructed us to do. I couldn't help, but see Len look at me sometimes, in the corner of my eye. I didn't care that much though, he wasn't worth the attention. He wanted to live normal? I'll treat him like any other stranger that Rui Kagane has ever encountered.

--------------------------------------

Len's POV

I was shocked that the girl next to me didn't react to my action of choosing the chair next to her. No hugs, kisses, nothing—not even a single glance. She was different than most girls I've met but I don't wonder why. I kind a liked that about her. She treated me like any other stranger and she may look weird but it added to her charm that she was so mysterious. Well, she's a weirdo but she's fine I guess. I could have sworn that she was trying to kill me by staring at me.

"Hey, uhm, Rui, why are you not like the other girls in this school?" She turned her head to look at me and looked at me like I was a mad man. What? Did I ask something wrong or bad? Is it wrong to ask her?

"Why do you ask?" She asked instead of giving me an answer, her voice monotonous and obviously uninterested.

"Well, most girls crave for my attention, but you don't do that." I pointed out. What? I was weirded out by her silence and lack of attention given to me.

"Oh, well I know you want to be a normal middle school boy so I just treat you that way. It doesn't matter if you're famous or not. You're you and that's all that matters." I was shocked that she thought that way.Maybe a little cold but still I never thought I would ever hear it from someone before, much less like her. I smiled at her but she gave a smile that lasted a second only to get back to her dazing session out of the classroom window.

"Oh, and you're too egotistic to call yourself an idol, Len. You're a boy who's famous. Hell do I care with you."

Ouch.

Time went by...

Rui's (Rin) POV

It was lunch time. I went at the back of the school where there is a cherry blossom tree. I always came here for lunch or to get a slice of peace since it was quiet.

For lunch was a bottle of blood. I prefer drinking from the vein but I'm a little short of victims at the moment so I settled for this. Once I finished and tossed the bottle in my bag, a breather was in order so I closed my eyes for a moment, berating int the scent of cherry blossoms at the season. The silence and the breeze, I found it rather peaceful for a busy day in this place.

Len's POV

I walked out of the classroom because there are many girls. Too many girls asking me many questions and I wasn't really up to answer them so I went at the back of the school where I saw a cherry blossom  tree. I approached it but saw Rui taking a nap under the tree. Here I thought I could be alone but from where I stood, she looked peaceful in her rest.

I picked up something in the breeze. Something smelling familiar that was sort of triggering an odd sensation in my gut. I took closer and more cautious steps towards her as I sniffed the air.

Now that I was close by, I must have stepped on something because I startled Rui, her eyes snapping awake and losing her balance in the process making her roll on the grass. Ouch, that must be prickly.

Rui's (Rin) POV

When I woke up, I saw Len in front of me. I was shocked naturally! I let my guard down! I let him close enough at an arms' distance. He looked rigid but took a step back upon seeing me awake.

"L-Len?! What are you doing here?" I asked, struggling to get up. Len offered help with reaching out a hand but I refused.

"I went to find a place to eat. The girls are bugging me. Then I went here and saw this tree. When I came near, I saw you." He explained and took a seat next to me without asking permission but ignored his rudeness. I just moved away from him, laying on the grass once more.

"Can I eat here?" He asked and pulled out his bento. Huh? Someone actually gives him bento...

"Sure. Whatever, pretty boy." I replied and stretched out and let the guy be. Poor him. This is why I keep my real identity under cover, the fame is overwhelming.

Not long later, after a good while....the bell rang.

Len's POV

As soon as the bell rang, I just finished my lunch and cleaned up everything and watched Rui stand up and throw out the bottle from her bag. As we walk going to our classroom, garnering a few stares and glares, I suddenly thought of the bottle earlier. 'What was the content of the bottle earlier?' I asked myself. It must be the content that got me sniffing the air.

"Rui, can I ask you a question?" I asked and looked at her direction.

"Sure. What is it?" She replied, not even batting an eye to my direction.

"Was your lunch was just a bottle of something?" I asked and this made her pause.

"Yeah, why do you ask, pretty boy? Unlike you, the rest of us sometimes can't afford food." She replied coldly. "That was nothing special."

"What kind of juice?" I asked again, just so curious. If that was red, it should taste marvelous. The number of red fruits I could think of were all delicious.

"A protein shake. Now stop asking." She answered and walked a little faster and left me walking slow as I kept thinking about it.

"We need to run because The teacher's gonna be angry if we're late." She said and we both ran to our classroom. Luckily, no one was there yet there. Sure we were going to be late but why the rush? As if she didn't want to be with me. Okay, yeah. She doesn't like me. She made it clear.

We went to our seats and waited for Miss Luka for our next subject for the hour. I occasionally looked at Rui but she did nothing but stare out of the window. Weird girl she is but that's what makes me so curious of her.

----------------------------------

GENERAL POV (Because we have't had enough POV changes yet. JK)

"As you all know, next week is our school festival. I want everyone help out for the preparation for the school festival." Miss Luka said by the front after her discussion, the students listening as she finished up.

"Yes miss." replied the students except the blackette and the blonde idol by the back of the class, the other looking bored and uninterested and the latter dozing off like it wasn't something they should participate in.

The class was dismissed later on as the bell rung to signal the end of class. Rui's limo was waiting for her outside the school, students looking at her as she was helped inside her vehicle but glanced at Len as he entered his own limo for the afternoon, his manager inside.

Rin and Len have some recording to do so they will go straight to the recording studio but they had no idea that they were both going to record a song together. Not one of them had a single clue; all they knew was they had a recording is all.

Rui (Rin) POV

I enetered the limo after one hectic day, and pulled out my phone only to see one text message from Miku from this noon.

[Miku: Hey I saw u with Len at lunch today. Lucky you! Is he nice? Do you like him? >w<]
[Rui: No! I do not like him we were just talking and stuff...stop running your mouth, Miku =A=;;]

I put my phone away seeing no point texting Miku at this point. I so did not like Len we are nothing but classmates. Period. Besides, he's way over his head,

We came up to a recording company studio after a good ten minutes of driving. I got out of the limo and ran to the bathroom and got changed into Rin once more and I wanted to rip someone's head off because of the head ache caused by the wig which later faded. Vampires do feel pain, mind you.

I wore a black shirt that had different colored stars on it, with black tights, a navy blue denim shorts, and brown and black high tops. I removed my black hair wig and add some hair clips on. I looked myself in the mirror and when I was contented, walked out to see my assistant waiting for me. I gave her my school clothes, and she walked to put them in the limo. I walked into the meeting room and guess who I saw...Surprise surprise!

When I entered the recording room, I saw Len by the recording booth, ready for his go on the song. No one told me this was a duet recording. Damn manager and producers, always planning unwanted surprises.

"Well then Rin, let's start your recording."The producer mentioned making me rush to take my place in the recording booth.

"Sure!" I replied and smiled, keeping up my cheerful side. Well, these kinds of things tend to happen a lot so why not? I can bear with it right now...for now.

The music started and was surprised to e familiar with this song: Paper Planes. When the music started, I flow with the rhythm then sang.

It was a sad story of a prisoner who saw a girl at the other side of the fence and they exchanged letters through paper planes. What crazy tragic-romantic made up of this? Oh wait, I did.

When the song ended, Len and the producer and the rest of them clapped their hands. That note right there was quite tricky but I managed to nail it this time. Probably help with Len with that duet part.

"Do you want to continue or take a break?" asked the recording guy.

"I'll continue." I replied.

"Ok. Three more songs." The staff said but I took a sip at a drink in my bag, this time, blood was hidden in a tumbler to be disguised.

I stood to the challenge. Seeing that I wrote the songs, I didn't have a hard time singing to them at a good quality. These kinds of songs need the right heart and emotion placed on to it. Despite me liiking like a numb and cold-hearted child, I sang the best I could to the finish.

Len's POV

"Len, it's your turn." The producer called after Rin took her long turn on the mic. She still has a good set of pipes. Hell, she sings very well.

"Ok." I replied as I put my headphone on, readying myself for the song.

"Well then Len, let's start your recording."

They played the music for  'Prisoner.' As the music starts, I flow with the rhythm then sing the best I could to the theme of the song.

This was about a boy who was imprisoned and his only way to remaining happy was the girl he sent letters to at the other side of the fence through paper planes. It was cute but hey, Rin wrote the whole idea and who am I to judge her song writing skills?

"Do you want to continue or take a break?" They asked after the song.

"I'll continue." I replied, briefly taking a deep breath and a sip of water.

"Ok. Three more songs." No surprise there. They were dropping a duet album soon and so far, Rin and I have been solo artists. This is kinda new.

After the recording Rin was drinking was from her tumblr and her manager was trying to gave a look of sense to her. She was stubborn and drank before resuming to recording. Odd, I smell it again. That same scent that riled up my senses. What was that drink?

Rui's (Rin) POV

After taking a sip, I saw Len looking at me. I was shocked. I sealed the container before hiding it in my bag. There is blood on the side of my mouth that I had to lick clean, wiping the rest away. 'Rin, can you get anymore discreet?! You're an idiot for a vampire older than anyone.' I chided myself, bitting regret that he saw me. I pray he won't ask questions.

"Are you drinking that red juice? A classmate of mine had some. Smells nice." Len asked me as I cleaned my mouth. How could he even smell that? Maybe it was someone else's drink? Not that I noticed, it was mine.

"Uhmm...Len that wasn't juice." I scooted over by his ear to whisper. "It's medicine."

He stood there looking at me with a raised brow. "Are you sure? Because it smells kinda tasty to my."

"Nah, that's meds for sure. Don't mind me. Nothing to be trifled with." I told him with a faint smile.

"Sure but, can I get your number?" He said. Smooth, Kagamine. Real smooth.

"Sure. Here's my number." I replied as I give my number to him.

"Thanks." He said.

"Well... It's already late. I need to go home. Bye!" he said as he waved goodbye.

"Bye." I replied.

That was close. I thought he would find out. Well, need to go. I left and went inside my limo which is waiting for me.

When I was home, I went to my room and washed before going to bed. After I washed, I throw my body on my bed and sleep.
