Chapter 10

General P.O.V.

The day that Rin will go to school once more arrived in a fast pace. She spent the rest of the week doing several work and jobs that she missed including several album recordings for several anime series. She topped on the magazines and in hit charts. Soon she will have another grand concert and that will be the day when she’ll be the top star once more.

“Another student will join us this year. She must have been here a week ago but under to some special circumstances, she had a one week break from her travel. Please welcome, Rin Kagamine.”

Whispers started when a beauty entered the classroom. Rin’s hair was tied up to a neat bun. Wearing her university uniform, she walked in the room with great confidence and greeted everyone.

“Hajimimashite, Minna. Rin Kagamine.” She said and shot a smile.Boys in the said class were shot with a beauty. “Pleased to meet everyone.” She sent a flying kiss and most of the boys got nosebleeds.

“Please take your seat now and we will start the discussion. I’ve heard that Miss Kagamine have taken advanced courses regarding with your subjects so that isn’t a problem anymore.” The teacher asked to confirm. Rin nodded in confidence and smiled.

“Okay. I guess we can start off from where we left last time.”

After the first shift of her class, she got attacked by boys. Boys crowded around her like she was a boy toy. She was in a tight place now. She couldn’t bear all of these but that’s her work since she’s an idol in many ways.

‘H-help~Kya!’

She needed one of the nearest people who can help her. Right now, she thought of only one person who can do the perfect job and she didn’t like the sound or even the thought of it.

‘Len! You idiot! Come help me here you bastard! I’m in the south hall!’

‘R-Rin?’ Hesitation sounded in the mind of Len. Oh how he was sooooooo excited to see her in high spirits. He didn’t expect to see her in the school premises but who cares? As long as he sees him, he’s fine.

Then he saw what Rin was referring to. He saw the crowd that gathered around her. She was struggling to move while keeping calm. He didn’t hesitate to help her. Even at the thought that she hates him right now, he didn’t seem to care at all.

“R-Rin?”

“Just goddamn help me here!” She shouted and Len tossed himself unilaterally to help Rin.

“Holy shit, It’s Len, run for it.”

The boys ran away from them and left them alone. Len sighed in relief.

“Why didn’t you tell me that you are here in our school?” Len asked but Rin pushed her away.

“I only asked for help with shooing those boys away, not a conversation.”

Rin left with these last words to Len, leaving him disappointed.

After seeing Len, Rin was left in a shock. She shouldn’t have done that. She was so stupid to do that because after all those years, Len was still a friend. Now she regretted her action.

“Sorry.” Rin whispered in her locker and slammed it with great force that it shook the whole locker shelf.

“You really are angry.” A familiar, sweet voice told her. Rin turned and saw Miku smiling at her. “Hi, Rin.”

Rin couldn’t hold back and cried at Miku’s shoulder.

“Miku! Miku, I’m so sorry about the photo shoot.” She said and Miku started to pat her head.

“Don’t worry about it. I understand that the princess thingy changed you a lot.” Miku said, trying to comfort Rin.

“No, Miku. Nothing changed of me when I was doing matters with the kingdom.” Rin admitted, guessing that was what is happening. “I’m just that stupid to do something to Len.”

“Oh, so you’ve seen Len already.” Miku said.

“Yeah. He helped me with the guys a while ago.” Rin replied.

“Well, that’s good. You know for the past years with me and Len, I think our relationship getting farther than each other. It seems that we are getting distant with each other.” Miku admitted. Rin hinted a note of doubt in Miku’s tone.

“Miku, are you gonna break up with him already? Just because that I’m here doesn’t mean that you should break up with him.” Rin said but there is something that crushed her heart in her words.

Miku sighed and smiled at Rin.

“I think your right.” Miku said and hugged Rin. “You should go talk to him.”

“I can’t do that.” Rin admitted and left the teallette so that she think on some things. Behind her, Miku sighed and pouted.

Rin on the other hand went to her next class. Again, she saw Len.

Her class was Physics.

Isn’t that the worst?

She went to a far seat from Len so that she can avoid getting in any conversation with Len.

After classes, it was already the third period and it was already near midday. Rin avoided getting caught by Len in the midday. She gets a bit snappy…

After all the classes for the morning, it was finally lunch break. Rin joined a group of girls who seemed good enough for her and ate lunch. While eating, there was something weird in the atmosphere of the group.

Rin sensed something similar when people see her kill. She sensed fear among the girls. Rin tried look at the eyes of one of the girls. Once she got eye contact, the girl immediately avoided contact.

“What’s wrong?” Rin finally asked.

“We are quite wondering if you are angry with Miku or Len.” One of the girls asked.

“Well, at Len yes but at Miku? No. She’s my best friend for years…” Rin’s voice faltered.

“Rin? What’s wrong?” One of the girls asked.

“I need to talk to someone. Please excuse me.” Rin excused herself and went to look for Len and Miku. She suddenly felt something weird.

The air feels so blurry and uneasy…

‘Len! Where are you, you bastard?!’

‘What is it now, Princess?’

‘I feel something. I don’t know what is it but I feel something!’

‘I don’t feel anything.’

‘Where are you?’

‘At the rooftop.’

‘Get down here-‘

Rin’s thoughts were suddenly interrupted. A thick fog covered the whole school hallway, leaving her frozen in her spot.

‘Len. Werewolves.’

Three large wolves blocked her way. All have piercing amber eyes and thick white and grey fur.

“Why the heck are you here?!” She suddenly shouted.

The wolves growled. Rin hissed.

“You don’t need to tell me that.”

The wolf in the middle stepped forward. Rin heard footsteps descending the stairs. She knew that it was Len.

“Len! Don’t attack!” Her voice full of power when she told him so.

“I thought we already had an agreement?” Rin demanded at the Alfa.

It growled and bared it’s fangs.

“I know how badly you want her but I have to tell her first! Haven’t I told you this? Taito!”

The wolves whined but the wolf near Rin started to change form.

“Len, come here.”

Len approached the princess and stood next to her.

The wolves growled on Len.

“I told you for a thousand times, he’s not my twin, Taito. One more time and I’ll smack you back to London.” Rin threatened.

“Well, Rinny, when will you tell my marvelous little cousin what she is?” Taito, Lean, tall, hot, psychopathic dude, has dark blue eyes, asked Rin.

“Hmm…Maybe..never. Not unless you give me what I want.” Rin smirked.

“What you ask is hard, Rinny. We Alphas will agree but how about our packs? We need to talk first.” Taito cooed. Rin found this done.

“Well, if you don’t I won’t and you’ll never get her. Not under my protection.” Rin said and turned around. “This conversation is over. See you around, Taito.”

Len followed Rin and started asking.

“Who are they? Why did they come here?” Rin found this two questions sensible for her taste so she answered it.

“Those, Len, were the wolves of the north. They came from the northern part of the globe. They wanted Miku.”

Len paused, shocked on what he just heard. What? They wanted Miku? His girlfriend?

That idea seems to be so absurd. Miku is a normal human, from her looks and her actions but how is it possible that werewolves wanted her?

“Miku is a werewolf. Part of the Center Wolves. She isn’t mature yet to have her powers but she knows what she is. She’s just dense not to know what you are. Her boyfriend.” Rin pointed out and that snapped Len out from dozing off.

“How come you didn’t tell me this?” Len asked, blocking Rin’s path in the process.

“Because you are not yet ready to know that. You are way too over yourself. Why don’t you try to go in my place sometime? Maybe you’ll realize why people love me.” Rin bragged and threw Len on the marble wall of the hallway. Rin walked forward and left Len grunting, groaning and cursing himself.

“I’m sorry.” He whispered and Rin heard this even though she was meters away from the boy.

“Repeat that again, Kagamine Len. Beg for forgiveness because I plan to place your family to the last of the noble rankings.” Rin threatened. No, Warned. He didn’t know what triggered that but his family is in deep shit for the moment because of the princess.

“I’m sorry, You’re Highness.” Len repeated with full sincerity.

“Len. How many times have I told you in the past that don’t call me that way unless I told you so?” Rin cleared herself up. Like one of the moments in the past. She hated being called that way.

“You told me that for three times until I got it right in my mind.” Len remembered and tried to stand up. Slowly, he stood up and tried to walk.

Rin, standing in the same position, was starting to shed tears. She only said it thrice it’s because only three words, each with a single syllable, was echoing in her mind.

I love you.

Three syllables, three words, one thought.

She wanted to shout it before but it faded when she learned about Miku and Len.

She was too late to say it to him.

“Len, on second thought I won’t move your family’s ranking.” Rin turned around and Le was shocked. Rin had flames in her hand but not regular flames. It was her color. Yellow. Len didn’t know what they meant but he knew he was either in trouble or he’s in the good side of Rin.

Rin threw flames at Len. Len thought they were gonna hurt but he realized that he was being healed by the gentle fire of Rin.

“Be thankful.” Rin said and whispered the last part. “that I still love you.”

“Huh?” Len didn’t catch the last part but Rin left and went home. Len smiled and said, “I am thankful.”
