Chapter 12
General P.O.V.
“So! If I’m not dead, does it mean you like me?” Len asked while they were walking to the fifth period.
“Well, what do you think?” Rin wanted to hug him but she was already in front of Miku and Taito.
“Rin. I tell you that was the most perfect dance I have seen for a long time.” Taito said. Rin just smiled it off. Miku went to hug Len.
“Len!~ I’m soooo worried! I don’t want to be paired up with this crazy cousin of mine!” She said.
“Well, it’s not my fault that the dean paired you up with me, Miku.” Taito said.
“Miku, are you alright with the theme of the dance?” Rin asked.
“Yeah. Taito explained to me everything. Including what you are.” Rin wanted to ask Miku if it included Len. She just hopes so.
“Really? Can you tell me what we are?” Rin asked with a definite smirk in her lips which made her so seductive.
“If Taito and I are werewolves, You are a vampire.” Miku said and went next to Taito. Rin looked at Taito and he just shrugged.
“Where did you get that?” Rin asked.
“Well, Taito told me. Didn’t I mention it a little while ago?” Miku replied and Rin started laughing.
Miku, Len, and Taito were now confused. Rin laughed with nothing funny at all.
“You really think I’m the only one?” Rin asked and took steps towards Miku. In the eyes of the tealette, fear was present.
“You mean there is more than one here in school?” Miku asked. Taito smirked and went next to Rin.
“Miku, my dear cousin, you should know what are the true identities of the people around you.” Taito said. Rin raised her hand and black smoke came from it, engulfing Len.
“R-Rin?” Len was nervous on what’s happening.
“Well, you see Miku, do you know what your boyfriend is?” Rin asked and she pulled Len next to her.
“H-he’s human!” Miku said.
“Are you sure about it?” Rin asked and placed her hand down. The smoke vanished around Len but he’s stupid enough to run away.
“Try asking him.” Taito said and accompanied Rin to her class.
Miku was left alone at the hallway, wondering if what she thinks of Len is true. She just hope she’s wrong.
After seventh period, Rin went out with Taito and his fellow alphas. Rin went to her locker and found Miku at the end of the hallway.
“Taito, do you think she’ll hate me for it?” Rin asked him.
“Oh, certainly, princess.” Taito replied and they all went home while Miku was listening to their conversation.
“Damn it.” Miku stomped her way to where Len is.
“Miku, why are you so agitated?” Len asked but Miku shot a glare at Len.
“You know very well that Rin is a vampire right?” Miku asked.
“Yes.” Len answered.
“Then why didn’t you tell me?” Miku asked, trying to calm down.
“Well…I thought you were human all along.” Len said.
“And I presume that you are human?” Miku asked. Heck! This is the good part!
“No. I’m a vampire noble.” Miku tried to punch Len but he just avoided it.
“Why?!” Miku now have pure loathing for Len.
“Well, Princess’ orders to keep a low profile.” Len said.
“What?! Rin’s orders are to keep a low profile?” Miku said and was starting to hate Rin.
“Yes. I’m sorry, Miku.” Len placed pure sincerity in his voice but Miku didn’t accept that.
“Len, maybe it’s time for me to let go of you.” Miku looked at Len and upon hearing this from Miku, he was shocked himself.
“What do you mean?” Len asked her.
“I’m breaking up with you.”
Len was grief stricken, for once. He wanted for their relationship to last but it seems that fate didn’t want them to have that kind of relationship.
“I’m so sorry, Len but I can’t take this king of bizarre happenings in my life anymore. Besides, someone is still waiting for you here.” Miku said and ran away, not regretting what she just did to him but Len couldn’t understand why. Does that mean he’s stupid? Did he do anything wrong besides from hiding things from Miku?
He was broken from Miku’s words and he doesn’t know how to recover. He needed a friend, a person to talk to.
“Len, you being called by Rin on the Music room.” One of the Alphas told Len. Len wasn’t in the mood for talking to Rin but he have to follow orders from the princess.
As he walked up to the music room, he thought of what he did wrong and remembered a lot. He was angry with himself. His jaw was clenched together with his fist but tears were streaming from his eyes.
“Len.” An angelic voice which he recognized called him and the next thing he know was he was being hugged by a blonde girl. Warmth engulfed him and he wanted for this warmth to last but the girl pulled away.
Len saw Rin, her eyes puffed from crying and she was still smiling for him.
“I’m so sorry for being such a bitch to you.” She said with full regret in her voice.
“What? No! I was the jerk to you, Rin. I treated you as a friend when I actually knew that I love you. I’m an idiot.” He cried more to the princess of his life.
“Yeah…hehe…You are an idiot.” She smiled at him and hugged him once more.
“Rin, I’m so sorry for letting you wait.” He whispered. “But no more waiting.” Len pulled away from their hug and knelt before Rin with both knees.
Eyes and stares flooded them as students saw Len confess to Rin. He didn’t care if he’ll look bad for breaking up with Miku but he cared for only one thing.
“Rin, I love you, will you be forever with me?” Len asked and Rin actually laughed a bit.
“Forever will be a long time, Len but I will.” Rin answered. “It’s because I love you too.”
The crowd cheered as they confessed their love for each other. Miku knew that Len kept Rin waiting for a long time and she knew that. She promised herself to give way for Len’s true love and she’ll never hesitate to break-up with him for that matter.
“Congratulations, both of you.” Miku whispered to them as she blended in to the crowd and fled to Taito, her cousin.
Len got up and kissed Rin that got the crowd cheered more.
Well, it was a happy ending, is it not? Well folks, the story doesn’t end here.
Let’s sneak a peek to one more problem in the future of the Kagamines’…
“Ah!~ You called just in time.” A deep voice answered over the phone.
“Oh, you mean they are already a couple? That’s sooooo cute! Unfortunately, they won’t be happy for long. Why not put the plan into action?” He replied on the speaker of the other line.
He took one big spoon of ice cream from his table and paused from placing it in his mouth when he heard one more shocking news.
“The alphas of the South, North, and Center wolves are there? Ha! This is amazing! This will be a fun game. Well, look out on what the princess is going to do next…and please don’t get yourself killed.” He dropped the call and ate his ice cream.
“Luka, my dear,” A girl with long flowing pink locks went out of the shadows. “We will be inviting the princess for our Alice tea party, is it alright?”
“Very. I don’t mind seeing her for such a long time.” Luka answered and hugged him.
“Well then, we’ll send an invitation immediately.” He said and snapped. Suddenly, a big owl entered in his room through the window and landed in front of them.
Kaito handed an invitation to the owl.
“I want you to send that to Princess Rin directly and fly here immediately.” He ordered and the owl delivered the invitation.
The owl fled and went to the university where Len and Rin were. When the owl arrived, it morphed to a gorgeous human being named Rinto. He’s not related to Rin or Len but Rin knew and was familiar with him.
As Rinto descended down the stairs from the rooftop to Rin’s position, squeals of girls echoed at the hallways. He was a natural hottie.
When he saw Rin, he acted all cheery and sweet.
“Rin!~” He called and rushed to her to give her a hug from behind.
“R-Rinto? Why are you here?” She asked. Len suddenly peered his eyes to the mysterious guy who arrived.
“I was asked to give you an invitation.” He answered and pulled away from Rin and pulled out the invitation from his coat and gave it to Rin.
Rin took it and opened it immediately.
It said:
Dear ma’am/sir,
You are invited to a tea party, hosted by the mad hatter. Yes~ It’s an Alice in wonderland themed tea party so every of our guests are asked to dress in this theme only. You may do so ask another person to accompany you to the party but of another gender.
We look forward to seeing you in the Midnight Pavilion in the residence of Megurine Luka 7 o’clock in the evening during the evening of the full moon.
Best wishes! –Kaito
Rin’s mouth was wide open as she read this and looked at Rinto.
“You mean Luka is hosting it this time?” Rin asked, shocked.
“Yes.” Rinto merely replied to her reaction.
“Oh no. The last time she hosted it, There was at least thirteen deaths in the process of the game.” Rin worried not about her but about the person she’ll be asking to go with her.
“Is it possible that large deaths will be avoided?” Rin asked.
“Yes, you highness.” Rinto answered.
“I ask that you give me one more invitation. I have a pair in my mind.” Rin asked and Rinto gave another one that he hid.
“I will be taking my leave, Rin.” Rinto said and went at the same way he entered.
Rin faced Len and looked at him with worry in her eyes.
“Len, I was planning to ask you to go to the tea party with me but it’s dangerous.”
Len looked at Rin with confusion but he hugged her. They both knew that the full moon will be tomorrow evening.
“I will be coming with you at the party so don’t worry, okay?” Len smiled and so did Rin.
The only thing is, Will they be able to survive this game?
That’s great question right now. Rin wanted to know what were they up to and why but it seems that she has to look for further clues on this matter.
