Chapter Twelve
Sky appeared in his office. Selene fell off her chair in her surprise. She watched from the floor as Sky frantically searched his office.
"Yeesh Sky, what happened?" Selene asked.
Sky pulled a golden sword with an amethyst gem on the handle from a hidden compartment and breathed a sigh of relief. He turned towards Selene, who was still on the floor. "If you feel like being locked up, by all means stay here. I'm leaving," Sky said harshly.
Selene stared at Sky with wide eyes and whispered, "They're here, aren't they?"
Sky nodded and pulled a book from his bookshelf. "Do you want me to bring these with me or...?" he trailed off.
Selene shook her head. "Nah, leave them here. They should be safe where they were."
Sky put the book back and gave his office one last glance. Everything was in its place, as it should be. He took off his sunglasses and set them on his desk as he turned to the door. He was surprised to see Selene standing there waiting for him, Hecate and Luna at her feet. "Er, Selene? What are you doing?" Sky asked.
Selene smiled. "Isn't it obvious? I'm coming with you."
Sky smiled back. "Then let's get out of here."
Sky led Selene and her familiars out of the offices, carefully avoiding recruits walking around. They crept around the back of the hospital and snuck around the side of the stables. Sky motioned for Selene to stop and poked his head around the wall. From his position, he could see the chaos over by the lake.
Herobrine was standing off to the side with a small grin on his face. Ian and Quentin were calming the still panicking recruits. Notch was talking to Jason, Mitch, and Jerome, forming some sort of plan to find Sky.
Sky smirked, and signaled to Selene to begin moving towards the open gates. They stayed close to the wall to avoid the gazes of the guards above. Sky had just reached the guard tower when Jason suddenly looked past Notch and stared straight into Sky's golden eyes.
Sky froze as he stared back. The two cousins watched each other carefully for a few seconds. Jason smiled and focused back on Notch. Jason pointed towards the guard tower and Notch whirled around. Selene pushed Sky forward as Notch spotted the two.
Sky broke into a run as Selene closely followed him. Jason shouted for the guards to close the gates before Sky could escape. One of the guards pressed a button, and the gates began to close.
The recruits and Generals could only watch in shock as Sky darted under the gate. Selene and Hecate barely made it, but Luna was left behind. She yipped and Selene spun around and tried to run back to the closed gates. Sky quickly grabbed her hand and disappeared into the surrounding forest.
A/N
It's been so long since I lasted uploaded. Heh, Living Tombstone...
First, sorry for the short chapter. I can't combine it with the next chapter since it would have taken too long to write and been far too long.
Second, uh, this is getting closer to when I won't have anything planned for the chapters. Chapter 19 is the last planned chapter, and there will only be a few more chapters after that.
But fear not! If you haven't noticed, this is Book 3 of the Immortal Chronicles. There are currently 6 planned books and a one-shot book for extra scenes. The titles of the books are over in my Updates and Stuff book if you want to know them.
Until next time my friends!
