Chapter Thirteen
Selene ran after Sky through the forest. Hecate jumped along in the trees above the two friends. Selene pushed a little harder and caught up to Sky. They ran next to each other for a while before Selene broke the silence.
"So, how do you think they found out?" she asked, biting her lip.
Sky shook his head. "I don't know."

Jason cursed as Sky pulled Selene into the forest. He teleported away in his fit of anger, surprising the recruits even more. Over half of the recruits slowly left the area, moving to different parts of the base. The remaining Generals stayed by the lake, debating on what they should do next.
Meanwhile, Herobrine and Notch were arguing on the best way to retrieve Sky.
"Well, what about the angels? They could cover a larger distance than the Council," Notch suggested.
Herobrine quickly shot down the idea. "Sky is stronger than them. He would most likely severely injure them or even kill them in an attack."
Notch sighed. "What ideas do you have then?"
"We can look ourselves," Herobrine offered.
Notch shook his head. "That would take too long, we need a quick and effective tactic."
Jason teleported back, this time without his space suit. He rejoined the group of Generals as they watched him uncomfortably. Jason ignored the stares and pulled them into a discussion to distract them from the feuding brothers. The Generals slowly relaxed as they became more interested in their conversation about the squids.
The peace didn't last long. Seto teleported between Ty and Mitch, startling everyone in the group. Mitch jumped back and fell into Jerome's arms. Ian yelped a little, and Quentin reassured him. The commotion caught the attention of the gods and recruits surrounding the group.
Seto looked at the chaos surrounding him. He was wearing his sorcerer robes despite the burning hot sun in the sky. "Um, Ty, what's going on?" he asked.
Ty rolled his eyes. "Look around Seto. What do you think happened?" Seto opened his mouth to answer but Ty interrupted him. "Sky happened!" he snapped.
"Oh," was all Seto could say. Ty sighed at Seto's obliviousness.
Herobrine eyed the two individuals as they spoke. His eyes narrowed suddenly and he took a step towards them.
Ty noticed the sudden movement and pushed Seto behind him protectively. His eyes flashed purple and he hissed at Herobrine, surprising most of the crowd around them.
Herobrine immediately stopped and smirked as he folded his arms. "I don't believe you are supposed to be here 'Lox," he said.
Ty growled warningly. "I can be wherever I want Herobrine," he retorted.
Herobrine laughed at Ty's answer. "Did you forget that you aren't to get involved?" he asked as he began moving forward.
Ty watched warily as Herobrine approached him. "I did not forget. I simply thought Sky might want some familiar friends," he answered.
Herobrine stopped a short distance from Ty. "But why are you hiding your true form?" he asked softly.
Ty froze, as did the others around him. Herobrine grinned at the confusion surrounding him and snatched Ty's headphones off his head before he could retaliate. The mortals yelped and backed away quickly as Ty disappeared in a cloud of purple mist. When the mist cleared, both Ty and Seto were gone.
Herobrine didn't appear to be bothered by the disappearance of the two. While everyone else was freaking out, Herobrine glanced at the sky. It was as if he was waiting for something to fall from the sky.
In a way, something did fall from the sky. A large winged figure dove towards the ground and landed in front of the Nether god. The Generals gasped when they saw who was standing right in front of them.
Ty's tail lashed around angrily and his wings flared as he glared at the satisfied immortal. "I don't believe that was necessary," he spat.
Herobrine snickered. "No, it was not necessary. But it got a great reaction from the mortals," he said as he gestured to the stunned crowd.
Ty ignored the mortals. Instead, he stared at his headphones, still in the god's hands. "Can I have them back now?" he asked with an annoyed tone.
Herobrine's grin grew bigger as he tossed the headphones from one hand to the other. "Answer this first. Where did you bring Seto?"
"I brought him to the End portal," Ty answered emotionlessly.
Herobrine grumbled as he handed Ty his headphones. "You're no fun anymore," Herobrine muttered.
Ty bowed before teleporting away for a final time. Herobrine's eye twitched and he teleported to the roof of the stables. He sat on the edge of the roof, watching the recruits walk by.
Ian glanced at Notch with confusion. "Herobrine doesn't like attention if it comes from his status as an immortal," Notch explained. "Ty just wanted to get under his skin."
Ian nodded distractedly as he looked around. Jason had disappeared again and he didn't want to be jumped if Jason snuck up on him. He sighed in relief when he spotted Jason walking towards the gates.
Luna whined as she dug under the closed gates. A pair of hands grabbed her out of nowhere and she panicked. She tried to snap at the hands but Jason was quick to hold her muzzle to keep her from injuring him.
Jason fought to keep the struggling wolf under control. Herobrine tilted his head as he watched Jason walk back to the group. He jumped off the roof and moved swiftly back to where his brother and the Generals were standing.
Herobrine chuckled when he reached the group. "Why hello there," he murmured as he took Luna from Jason. He looked up at Notch and grinned. "I think we just found our solution to finding Sky." He cast a small spell on the helpless wolf. "Are you ready to be the downfall of the Nether prince?" he asked. Luna whined in response and Herobrine smirked.
"Let the games begin."
A/N
My gosh I just kept procrastinating this chapter. Whoops :3
It's currently 2:17 am as I'm writing this Author's Note. I'm waiting until morning to post this. I really need to go to sleep...
Oh yeah, thanks for 700 views already! Hopefully I can get Chapter 14 written and uploaded before Thursday.
Fun fact, the scene between Herobrine and Ty was not planned at all. Actually, as I was writing the chapter, Herobrine wasn't even the one interacting with Ty. It was that traitor Jason :3 I have nothing against Jason, I changed it to Herobrine since that scene suited Herobrine more.
Until next time!
The chapter itself is exactly 1,000 words...
