Welllllll, he can 'evolve' in to the different WoF dragon types but he doesn't have any sort of like fire, spitting venom, or the abilities of other dragons.

"Why he do that¿"

Squids can actually evolve to different things.
For example, in humans if some part of our DNA goes wrong the RNA will fix it so we don't come out with a second head or something. But for the squid the RNA doesn't do anything about it and just tries to make different things with the new DNA; therefore evolving to something else.
