Jessica walked downstairs the next morning to find Jace and Alec fighting, and the brunette boy with glasses sitting at the counter frowning. 
"Boys." She muttered before joining him at the counter. "What are they arguing about?" She asked.
Simon smiled at her before seating his drink down. "Some girl named Callaway apparently doesn't like Morgansterns, and said if she ever met one she'd kill them." He said. "So Jace is worried about Clary, and he wants Callaway to stay away from Clary. Alec said she didn't really mean kill, and besides Clary, the red headed girl you met last night, isn't like her father or brother. They've been arguing for like two hours." He explained. 
Jessica nodded, not really wanting them to fight about her. She was about to stop them then realized the boy beside her would probably get in trouble for telling her who Clary was. "Please tell me Isabelle didn't cook this." She said with a shiver. Jesse loved Izzy, but she couldn't cook worth anything. 
The boy laughed. "Nope." He looked up over his glasses at her while making a weird dying face.
Jessica laughed. "I'm guessing you've had it?" She said almost having to yell over the boys.
"Oh I've had it." He sighed. "I think Jace made it." he said. "If that helps any." He added. 
She smiled. "A little bit." She said. 

It had been a hour and the boys were still at it. "Should we stop them?" She questioned glancing at the boy.
"Nah, leave 'em." Simon said while waving a hand at them. "This is normal for them.".
Jesse shrugged and took a bite of food. "Fine then."

Jace and Alec only stopped fighting at one to go into different room. The boy, Jesse still didn't know his name and they spent half of today together, had left with Izzy around five. And now it was eleven and Jessica had a headache. "I think I need a drink." She mumbled grabbing her coat. 
"I didn't know if you know much about New York or not, but you shouldn't go out alone." She heard from behind her.
She turned to find the Boy as she had started to call him standing beside her. "Yeah well I need a drink. So unless you wanna go I have to go alone." She said quickly.
"Did you just invite me?" He asked with a laugh.
 "I think I did."
 "Sure why not." He shrugged following her into the cold New York night. 
Ten minutes later they were at a bar. "Wait your seventeen and don't have a fake ID, so how are you getting in?" He inclined. As they walked in and took a seat. 
"Are you not seventeen?" She countered with a small smile.
"I am."
"Then how are you here Mr. no fake ID either." 
"I...Uh...." He looked stumped. "I don't know."
"They don't ID." She laughed. 
"I'm Simon, by the way." He said with a smile.
"I'm Jessica." She smiled.

After a couple drinks they were back at the institute. After saying goodnight Jessica made her way to her room. Alec sat on the chest at the end of her bed. "What are you doing in here?" She asked.

"The question is why aren't you in bed at one a.m." He said.
"Your not my keeper, Alec, darling." She remarked with a smirk. "Now why are you here." 
"Because it's storming out, and I came to check on you." He answered.
 "I... Um... Alec... I" She stumbled for the right words. He came because he was concerned  about you! She scolded herself. She starting thinking about how he'd stay with her til she fell asleep because she was afraid of storms.  "Alec." She said softly. 
He laughed. "I know you're probably not scared anymore, but I had to check." He said. "I mean I grew up with you. Jesse, you are like a sister to me.".
"Sometimes when a storm starts I think of how you used to come in and stay with me til I fell asleep. And how sometimes you fell asleep before I did." She said with a smile. Jessica went into the bathroom to change, and when she came out Alec was still sitting there. She crossed the room and sat on the bed. "Alec, will you stay with me til I fall asleep?" She asked lying down. 
Alec laid down next to her. "Always, Jess.".

Hey so still a little slow, but it really starts in the next chapter (Which I'm already working on).
So Simon's going to be a friend to Jess and hopefully it will be amazing.
Magnus enters in the next chapter and then the fun begins.
