Five long years since Rose was separated from her family. Many things had changed during her long absence from her home.  Her brother, Hiccup, was grown up, and treated as a hero of Berk. 

He had proven to his village that not all dragons are considered evil as they thought they were, thanks to his mishaps and meeting his own dragon, a night fury named Toothless. 

Although, it hasn't been easy as it was. Hiccup maintain the peace with the help of his ragtag group of dragon riders, with his beloved girlfriend and crush, Astrid Hofferson. 

Trent however, still couldn't even dare get his own dragon because it traumatize him of the night he learn about Rose's kidnapping. 

Stoick never mentioned to Hiccup about his older sister, mostly because he felt responsible for that night. 

As Hiccup and Toothless fly through the sky, he couldn't help of thinking that there was something much more bigger threat that could happen. 

"What would be?" He thought in his mind, as that he couldn't think of the answer himself. 

"Hiccup!" He heard a voice calling out to him as that it was no other than Astrid Hofferson, as she manages to catch up to the trainer. 

"Oh, hi, milady. What do I owe the pleasure?" He said, as Astrid asked, "Is something bothering you?

You seem... off back at Berk." 

"Oh, so you noticed. Honestly, I can't shake this feeling something is up, something I should know about. But I can't figure out what it is." 

"Did you ask your father about it? Maybe Stoick has some ideas." Astrid suggested, as the Night fury looked up at his trainer. 

"I don't know how to ask him, Astrid. He seem to be merely distracted sometimes.  I know he cares in his own way, but I think he's hiding something from me." 

"What you mean by that? It's not like you haven't kept secrets before. Remember how surprised I was when you introduced me to Toothless for the first time?" 

The dragon laughs as Hiccup rolls his eyes at his companion, "Laugh it off, bud. Ok, I admit, you and Toothless had a rocky start, but look at how things had changed for the better. I wished that Mom had seen this. Would she be proud of my accomplishments?"

Astrid smiled, knowing how much he barely knew her, "Of course she would. Heck, I think she would in shock for Thor's sake!" 

Back at Berk, Trent was all alone. He thought about his childhood best friend, as he felt a hand on his shoulder, he yelp in shock. 

"Easy lad. it's just me." He turns around to see it was the chief. He sighs in relief, "Sheesh, Stoick, you do know how to scare people. 

You can give people a heart attack one of these days." 

The chief waves his hands, "I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself. But seriously, I can't believe how much you had grown over the years." 

"I miss her so much. Do you think she's out there somewhere?" He asked, as Stoick sighs, as if he knew exactly whom he was referring to. 

"Honestly, I don't know, Trent. I don't know, but I don't want Hiccup to know about Rose or the threat of Alexis." 

Trent frown, "But Stoick, it has been what, twenty years ago? He is old enough to know the truth about his older sister by now. 

He's bound to ask questions sooner or later." 

The chief sighs, "I know, that's the thing I am most concerned about. You know how stubborn that young lad is. 

He defeated a massive dragon like the Red Death, I don't want him to be in major trouble than he already dealt with. 

Don't mention about Rose to him, I implore you." 

"He will be irate at you, that is for sure. I hope that you will tell him by then." He said. 

"I will in time.  I have to take Skullcrusher out for a flight. See you soon." He said, as he heads off to find his dragon.
