In the future, Rin lives in a so called utopia. This society is split up into communities.
Rin lives in a medium sized community. She has friends and lives a nice life. She is normal.
She easily trusts others. She trusts her friends, she trusts her family, she trusts strangers, she trusts the society. That is expected of the people in this society.
There isn't anything special about her. She is a little taller than most her age, but that isn't all that special.
Rin doesn't care that she isn't special. Nobody does. If they were different, they would want to fit in.
If things were different, maybe people wouldn't care if they fit in or not. But it is not that way in this society. Although the society's term of "not fitting in" is slightly different from ours...
