FLASHBACK. 2016

"i'm telling you guys! she's pure evil!" the girl exclaimed towards her friends. "you're being delusional, rin." jeno chuckled. the dream team was having lunch together today, as usual. "what is she telling you guys now?" minyoung joined in.

"rin is saying that eunji is playing with all of us, that's not true right?" jaemin rolled his eyes before scooping some food. minyoung stared at rin weirdly, "you're crazy."

rin was frustrated. she entered the team the same time as them, why couldn't they just believe their friend? rin knew eunji's plans but it wasn't helpful at all, they wouldn't believe her how much she tries.

"stop trying, they will never believe you." eunji smirked as she looked down at rin with pity. the two despised each other. rin knew eunji was up to no good at all. "all they care about is me, i love the way they gave me attention. ahh~ they love me so much. look, stop trying okay? i have to go, renjun is waiting for me." eunji said in a sweet voice.

"you're cruel! you're playing with their feelings! how dare you– don't even play with my renjun." rin stated.

"your renjun? you must be mistaking, you're talking to his girlfriend, no matter how much you try– they'll never believe you. why? they are so in love and distracted with me that they can't even see the truth." eunji laughed, "they are useless, so easy to fool."

everything, every conversation they had, rin always recorded it so that had proof about eunji's behavior. she was just waiting for the right time to kick in and show it to other people.

rin tried lot of things to make the other members realize that they were just being controlled and manipulated by eunji.

"nayoung-ie! look at this new bag! do you want to go shopping with me?" eunji cutely asked nayoung. all of them were eating again. rin was there, quiet, not wanting to speak at all. "sure!" nayoung happily agreed.

rin was disappointed at her friends and how easily they got fooled. rin was sorry for her friends that they get to experience such thing but she just wanted renjun anyways, she missed her friends yet she wanted renjun.

look at you guys, so blinded with love. too blinded to see her fake lies. rin thought.

"do you like that bag, noona?" jisung asked eunji and eunji nodded. "but sadly, i don't have enough money to buy it." she faked a frown. rin could only glare at eunji.

"we'll buy it for you!" jaemin smiled. eunji's frown turned into a smile, "really!?"

"yes of course, anything for you." renjun looked at her with those loving eyes.

that's when rin had enough of everything. days passed, she was creating a new article to post for their secret society. there, she did it, she exposed nam eunji to the whole school and possibly the other schools too.

the next day, everyone in the team was furious about it. especially minyoung. they all had a meeting after class, rin was guilty yet it was the best thing she had ever done.

"but i didn't do it!" minyoung shouted back at renjun.

the boys were comforting eunji who was nonstop crying about the post. rin posted stuff about eunji's plans and how horrible of a person she is. "that wasn't true." jeno whispered onto eunji's ears as the others kept comforting her.

"i swear to fucking god, lee minhyung! it wasn't me!" minyoung exclaimed.

"then if it wasn't you, who did it!?" nayoung shouted back. it was a mess. rin just stood there, watching the scene unfold right in front of her eyes.

eunji then stopped her crying, she pointed a finger at rin. "it was you wasn't it? you're the only one who hated me? what did i ever do to you? why do you even hate me so much? you're breaking the team apart!" rin could only laugh, she was amazed by eunji's talent in acting.

"you're such a great actor aren't you? i can't believe you're such a two faced person. it was like yesterday you were
telling me about how fools my friends are because they easily got manipulated by you, and now, you're here acting like i hurt you? excuse me, you should think thrice before telling me your plans." rin spat out. eunji stood there, frozen.

"rin? what are you talking about?" chenle asked.

"this girl is manipulating you! she's been planning everything, renjun– you've been dating her right? so is the others." rin exposed. the boys were shocked, that's true, she was dating jeno, jaemin, haechan and renjun at the same time. she was leading chenle on for about ever since he confessed. she's been using jisung whenever she gets into trouble and blaming him for the incident. lastly, she's using mark as an advantage to do whatever she wants.

"i-i'm not." eunji stuttered.

"i don't want to believe this, i can't believe it." haechan breathed out.

the next day, rin never expected that to happened. she got kicked out the group. what happened? eunji manipulated heeyeon and the boys into kicking rin out of the team because of her behavior. minyoung was mad about it but she was sad, she was friends with rin for a long time but she couldn't believe that rin did such thing.

rin was there, packing her stuff, she gave up on warning the dream team. well, she wasn't apart of it anymore, anyways.

"tch, i hope each one of you regret listening to my warnings– i thought you guys were my friends, i was one of the original line up of dream team and look at this? i'm being kicked out by my used to be friends. you guys should probably get your eyes checked cause i'm sure you're all blind, so blind that you can't even see the truth." rin stated. "it was nice being apart of this team." she said before walking out the club room.

couple days has passed and rin never bothered them again. but they were
starting to doubt eunji as the days passed. she was still playing with the 00 liners. rin could only watch from afar and sigh in defeat.

that's when the day came, everyone was so shocked to hear the news. school was cancelled, why? they found a dead body,
eunji's body. or was it?

rin was shocked to hear such news either. the dream team were shocked, it was hard for them. rin couldn't help it but send the recordings to the dream team headquarters. and there it was, the breakdown of dream team. they all went their separate ways. minyoung left as chenle became inactive. the others just studied well and just focused on their future.

eunji really did break them. they were too heartbroken. they lost their trust to their person they adored and love the most. they didn't even attend her funeral because of that.

not until minyoung started telling stories about how great her new school is and she met the most incredible and greatest hacker in her school. "she was so incredible! she had the highest score amongst the whole school and even did her case in a matter of 4 hours only! it took me 2 days to finish such case. it was too hard for my brain to handle." minyoung said.

"that girl sound cool." jisung chuckled.

"you've grown so much, jisung." minyoung said.

"thank you!" jisung grinned.

"i can't believe so much has happened." renjun mumbled.

"shut up moomin boy." heeyeon threw a french fry at him. "hey, stop wasting those poor fries!" haechan said.

"you guys went through a lot." weijung mumbled as she sat on a chair. she and renjun were at the library, gathering some books they could probably use for investigation. renjun hummed in response, "i know."

"who's this.. rin you're talking about?" weijung questioned suddenly which made renjun stop his actions. "oh, did i hit something? i'm sorry– i shouldn't have asked." weijung mumbled softly.

"n-no i was just shocked. i never heard that nickname ever since. she's been using her actual name now, i'm
not gonna tell you who it is cause you're smart, you'll know it soon." renjun told her. weijung rolled her eyes, "alright then."

"anyways, about that thing you said last night.." renjun suddenly brought up the topic. weijung froze, "not here. we're not safe talking about such topic in public. tell that to me later at the headquarters alright?"

renjun nodded, "alright." and continued to look for some books.
