today was of course a new day, they still haven't told me what that case was and i'm getting real curious. i tried hacking into the dream team's system to find out any information about chenle but i thought that would be nice if i do when i have already settled in area 51.

i also have planned to go to where the glass window pane broke. for some reason, that place had an eerie feeling whenever i walk pass by.

after lunch, i was ready to do what i wanted but i was stopped when jeno called me out. i looked at him in confusion and he came up to me and told me that everyday we had to stop by to the headquarters and do some stuff. i nodded before walking out the room.

i made my way to the place where the glass pane fell. scanning the area for some clues on how the heck it fell, i saw two broken screws by the bushes. i fished out my plastic zip tie bag from my backpack and placed the screws inside for evidence purposes. i used my flashlight to scan the area, my eyes averted towards the side where a thing shined when i pointed my flashlight on it.

i walked close to it and it was a gold pin. "huh? a star shaped pin? this pin looks familiar, i know i have seen it before." nonetheless i also placed it in a separate plastic bag before stuffing it in my backpack.

i took down some notes until someone cleared their throat. i flinched, turning around to see the familiar blonde boy. "what are you doing here?" he asked me. his eyes went down as he saw me limped backwards. he stared at my injured leg. "you're the one who got hurt yesterday?" he pointed out, asking me.

"uhh, isn't it obvious." i raised a brow.

"you still haven't answered my question though." he crossed his arms, waiting for me to answer his question.

"i'm just, checking." i said.

"yeah right. more like investigating." he rolled his eyes.

my eyes landed on the black notebook that was on the ground, he must've dropped it. i grabbed it, opening it and flipping through the pages. "h-hey! that's mine!" he exclaimed.

i gasped at his sketches. there were sketches on what happened yesterday. then he must've seen everything. he then snatched his notebook back. "that was rude." he stated.

"you were there?" i furrowed my brows.

"i was studying you." he mumbled. i was taken aback, "what?"

"i happened to pass by as well and when i was about to help you but jaemin was faster." he explained.

"you know him?" i raised a brow.

"many people know him." he shrugged.

"what's with the sketches?" i questioned him.

"oh, it's nothing. i just love illustrating things." he stated.

"i'm not even one bit convinced by that." i told him as he sighed.

"look– just call me lele for now then. i'm not exposing myself, i don't even know you." he pointed.

i raised a brow, "uh, i'm your seatmate."

he scoffed, "you didn't have to remind me."

"i'm lee weijung." i squinted my eyes at him.

"weijung..? a very unique name. say, are you perhaps half chinese? just a guess." lele shrugged. i nodded, oh you guys didn't know? my chinese name is xing weijung.

"really!?" lele's eyes suddenly lit up as a bright smile crept up his face. "i'm chinese! can you speak or understand chinese?" he questioned and i nodded as well.

"yay! a new chinese friend!" he grinned.

oh, so lele is chinese then. lele is a cute name.

"well lele i have to go." i told him. he nodded, still having that bright smile plastered on his face, "alright, talk to you soon then!" he waved before we went separate ways.

"i'll see you very soon." he whispered yet i didn't manage to hear.

"come on, please!" yerin begged. she really wanted to spend time with me after school. "uhh, i already told you that i'm busy." i told her. "with what?" yerin furrowed her brows. "stuff that is too important for your begging ass to know." i mumbled.

it took me time to notice that the two of us are the only ones in the classroom. "come on, just for today." yerin pouted. those cute tricks will never work on me.

"she's busy, yerin. deal with it." renjun stood by the doorframe, waiting with jaemin. yerin squinted her eyes, "since when did you know her?"

renjun rolled his eyes before walking towards us, "since now." he stated, grabbing my wrist before pulling me with him and nana. "now will you excuse us, she's busy with us."

yerin stared at the three's back in disbelief before shrugging and walking away. "geez, you didn't have to." i told renjun. he sighed, "we couldn't help it okay? she just looked too annoying. you probably have smacked her in the face if we didn't barge in." renjun muttered.

"i have a question." i uttered which made the both hum in response.

"the first time i met everyone, why were you two so rude?" i asked, the two fell into a complete silence. i heard renjun scoff, "do you really wanna know why?" he suddenly stopped, staring at me.

i knitted my brows together before nodding slowly. "it's because you look like her." renjun darkly said.

okay, now who's this her he's talking about?

"yet your personality is way different from hers." he muttered.

"renjun, that's enough alright? move on." jaemin sighed before looking at me. "never ask anything about who this her is." jaemin pointed.

"tell mark i'll just head to the library." renjun said before walking away.

jaemin sighed and looked at me. "we'll tell you when it's time." he said before walking ahead of me.

days passed and i've been helping them with their illustrations and editing since there weren't anything that needed to be hacked on. day by day after the encounter with lele, we've grew fond of each other. i just really need to get him to show who he really is.

"is it true?" nayoung looked at me as soon as i stepped foot in the headquarters. all eyes were on me as they held a piece of paper. "huh? what do you mean?" i asked.

jaemin showed me what the paper was. it was a picture of me and lele, hanging out by the cafeteria. "oh, that's my friend lele, he has great sketches!" i told them.

they looked at me in disbelief. "i can't believe to you he talks but to us he doesn't!" mark said.

"maybe she can get him to be active again!" haechan pointed at me.

okay, i have no idea what they are talking about here.

"um, what are you even talking about?" i questioned as i placed my bag on the table.

"lele isn't some blonde haired boy who normally just sits next to you and draws sketches. lele is zhong chenle, our inactive member." jeno told me.

that's when it struck me. right! the sticker! the sketch book! his name!

"i knew it!" i exclaimed. "no wonder... his name sounded familiar."

"so, will you find a away for him to be active again?" mark looked at me, hope in his eyes.

"well, i'll try." i shrugged.

"yay! i miss chenle." jisung grinned.

"by the way, i saw you by the side of the school again. what were you doing there?" jaemin questioned me.

"oh, i decided to investigate the area." i proudly said before getting a box from my office. i pushed the box towards them. "i found some broken screws that may explain the falling glass pane and i also found this." i reached for the plastic bag wherein it held the star badge.

"no way..." renjun furrowed his brows.

"isn't that, eunji's badge?" renjun blurted out.

"i don't think so." mark shook his head.

"hers is quite pink. it was rose gold. that's a gold badge... i know gold has meaning to it but i just can't point it out but anyways, we have a moon badge." mark said.

"i don't think jeno has given you a badge yet." heeyeon scoffed before heading towards the meeting room. she came back with a red velvet box on his hands. she carefully opened it and it revealed a rose gold one. she smiled, "this is a special pin, for a very special person. i think you will really help us and complete the case of our dead friend."
