Lucy's POV

When we got off the train me and Natsu headed out separate ways. I got to my apartment and flopped down on my bed.

"Mission success." I mumble tiredly. I hadn't slept on the train because I had to make sure Natsu was okay.

"I wonder what we will do tomorrow..." I wonder as I begin to drift off.

~*~ Next Day ~*~

I wake up early and clean up my apartment a little before changing. I grab my keys and whip and hurry out the door and begin my walk to the guild.

I hear the guild before I actually see it, the noise carrying through the streets. "They sure are loud today..."

I come to the doors of the guild and have to scramble out of the way as a table is flung out the door. *sweatdrop*

I get inside and see Natsu and Gray going at it.

"What did you call me Flame brain?!" Gray snarls.

"I called you Popsicle Princess!" Natsu yells at him.

"Oh it's on!!!" They charge at eachother

But Erza steps between them with demon eyes. "Both of you knock it off!" She slams their heads together for added effect.

"Aye." They mumble glaring at each other.

"Natsu!" I call to him waving. He looks up and smiles at me. Happy swoops down from above with a fish in his mouth.

"Lusheeee." He lands in front of me at the same time as Natsu.

"Ready to do some research?" I ask him.

"Guess so." He shrugs. We head to the guild library, seeing it as the best place to start.

We all pull books from the shelves and sit down and start reading though them. I finish a whole stack while Natsu had only read five.

"Man, this is so boring!" He whined.

"Well, I want to find out if that stone could have done something to me." I tell him.

He squints. "But ya look fine to me Lucy."

"It could have cursed me though!" I add.

"Hm, well I'm gonna take a nap." He yawns and leans back in his chair.

Not two minutes later I hear snores. "Jeez, looks like I'll do this one alone." I continue reading. Then I come across something interesting.

"Purple Astaisia Stone- known as the 'Stone of the Soul', is capable of reading the heart and soul. Though it comes with a cost. It tells what the heart truly wants."

I shut the book before I read more. "I got zapped, so that was my price... So, what does my heart want?" I glance at Natsu.

"He must know." I poke his arm from across the table. "Natsu." I call his name. No response.

"Natsu!!" I call again and he wakes up.

"What?" He looks around frantically.

"Did I say anything after I was zapped by the stone?" I ask.

"Uhm, well you said my name. Why?" He questions with a curious look in his eyes.

Blush spreads across my face.

I laugh nervously. "Oh! No reason!" I assure him waving my hands dismissively.

"You are acting strange. Sure it wasn't anythin Luce?" He gets up.

"I'm sure!" I nod furiously.

"Well, did you find all you needed to?" He looks at the books.

"Yeah, let's go." I push him out and into the main room.

"So my heart wants him.." I look at him from behind as my hands press into his back. I shake my head furiously, realizing I was blushing.

Then I hurried from the guildhall, unsure of what to do. "I'm in love- with my best friend!"
