Elizabeth's POV

When the bell rang for sixth period to be released, Justin and I got up and we both walked to my locker. He still looked concerned, I gave him a hug and went to my last class of the day, still not exchanging any words. I spent the rest of the day thinking about how my life has changed and how I would just like to get out of this place. I forced myself to get back to the way I was before and when I got home, I changed into my pink and black zebra pajama shorts with matching shirt that has a zebra on it, I took my shoes off leaving my socks on. 

I sat at my desk and started to do the work I was assigned throughout the day when I realized that I had already done it. Alright, thanks old me.

I closed the book and laid down on my bed. I wasn't tired and I didn't feel like watching TV, so I decided to text Jasmine since I hadn't talked to her in days. 

ME: hey 

JAS 🌺: hey wats up I feel like we haven't talked n days 

ME: that's cuz we haven't talked n 2 days

ME: i've jus been so distracted from everything 

JAS 🌺: nd from Justin I hear ;) 

ME: what? nothin is goin on with us he was jus there for me I guess 

JAS 🌺: well I stll thnk u should giv him a chance 

ME: 2 bad thts not gonna happen  ;)

JAS 🌺: y not? he is really sweet 

ME: umm no.. try annoying I wouldn't of spnt any time with him if he wsnt there when I was crying 

JAS 🌺: so wut happened btwn u 2 

ME: loooooooong stry meet me @ da park nd ill tell u all of it 

JAS 🌺: kk  c ya n 5. 

I closed my phone and changed quickly into a tank top with jean shorts. I threw my flip flops on and I walk down the hall and see my mom sitting at the table. "I'm going to the park be back in like an hour."  

"OK that's fine," she said I gave her a hug and walked out of the door. I think that is the first time I talked to my mom in a while. She has been distracted a lot. I walked to the park that was only a block away.  

When I got there, Jasmine was sitting on the swings that we always met at.

"Hey," I said and she gave me a hug.  

"So tell me this story," she said as she pushed the swing to me. I sat down and told her the story about Asia in the bathroom about the insults that where thrown she laughed at mine.

"Wait so you almost pulled her hair out? that is crazy." we both laughed and it felt good to laugh again. 

I told her the rest of the story about the cuts and about what he said. She took my arm and looked at them. She knew I had done it a few times before but she looked mad, I know the slices on my wrists are still new.

"These are recent, Elizabeth,  you told me you stopped." 

"I know that and I'm sorry that I lied about it but this time I threw them away. I really don't want to do it and I'm done." 

"This better not be like last time."  

"I swear its not," I said we did our promise shake and she smiled.  

"So he knows now. Is he going to tell any one?" she asked looking worried. 

"I'm not sure," I said looking down at my feet and I rocked back and forth on my tip toes. It was getting late so we said goodbye and walked our separate ways. When I got home I changed back into my pajamas and went to bed.  

I woke up and did my morning routine putting on a blue shirt with a cake on it tat says "you want a piece of me", black skinny jeans, converse boots, black and white studded belt, black veil brides dog tags and rubber bracelets.  

I grabbed my bag and went to the kitchen my mom had made breakfast which was a change. She made waffles eggs and bacon my favorite. We ate together and she asked me about school. I told her that I was still ahead in my classes and that all of the teachers loved me same as always. I didn't tell her about Justin or the marks on my arm of course because she would spaz about both of those things and I would be dead.  

When I finished, I gave her a hug and waked to school. I got to school and went to my locker actually smiling. I waited for the locker to slam shut and it didn't surprising. I brushed it off and went to class. Finally when I got to class, we where starting something new that I hadn't covered on my own. I paid attention to the lesson but my mind did wonder a little about the occurrence with Justin in the school yard the other day.

Him seeing my marks are one thing, but I can't believe I went low enough to Asia's level just because of some words.

And for what? It's not like I like Justin or anything, it's just the fact that's he was my friend first and she kind of took him away. That doesn't make me jealous, does it?

When the bell rang, I took my stuff and went to math class. We had a sub and she handed us a worksheet and told us to work independently on it. After math class the next two were a blur. 

When I got to lunch, me and Jasmine got lunch and sat with my sister. After we finished eating, we joined the others outside and all talked about random crap and laughed a lot. Then Justin came over and sat down next to me with his arm around me, "Hey sweetness." that pissed me off so we were back to this now. 

"You never change, do you?" I said really mad at him. I pushed his hand away and moved over.  

"OK, OK I'm sorry old habits die hard I guess. I just came over here to see if you and your friends wanted to come to a party at Ryan's house tonight." I looked at every one else and they all seemed to be telling me yes with their eyes.  

"Sure I guess," I said. 

"Cool then I'll see you tonight," he said and before he left he gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek.  I blushed a little and every one awed. There are four of us in the main group, but nine of us all together. "shut up losers," we all laughed and when the bell rang we went to class. 

I got home and told my mom about the party she told me that I could go but that I had to be home by eleven. I smiled and gave her a hug. I ran to my room and into my closet. 

We weren't leaving until seven, but I had no idea what I was going to wear. I finally decided on a blue and white stripped cardigan sweater with a white under shirt, paired with light khaki skinny jeans and gray flats. I took a shower and changed adding a few bluish gray bracelets  to my wrists.  

Since I only had thirty minutes left until Jasmine would be here to pick me up, I went to the living room to watch TV and waited. Thirty minutes passed and I got a text, letting me know that she was outside. I headed to the door yelling behind me, "Bye mom love you." I wasn't sure she heard but I went to the car anyways.  

When we got to Ryan's house there where already people there and really loud music. We went in side and found our friend Kay dancing with Ryan we both laughed she has always had a huge crush on him. We both laughed and started to dance like idiots to the random music we were laughing like crazy when the song changed.  

Justin came up to us, "Hey Jasmine mind if I steel Elizabeth for a dance?"  

"You're not going to hit on her again, are you?" she asked jokingly.  

"Maybe," he said giving me a wink. I smiled it was one of the few times I enjoyed his flirting.

"OK good luck with that," she said as Justin took my hand. I smiled again and he put his arms around my waist and I put mine around his neck. We swayed back and forth.  

"This is nice," I said quietly.  

"Yes and it's the perfect time to talk," he said pulling me a little closer.  

"About what?" 

"Us," he said with a smile.  

My smile faded. I wasn't looking for a relationship, especially one with a preset expiration date like with Justin. He never really dated anyone longer than three weeks and then he would be back with Asia, "Justin I'm not really looking for a relationship."  

"I know, and I understand that you've been through a lot and that's not what I meant. What I meant was that I wanted to be friends. You know like old times."  

"I'd like that," I said smiling. When the song ended, I went to find Jasmine and I found her arguing with Ryan over something stupid. They weren't really arguing like fighting but they were debating something. 

"She will not get with him and if you think she will, then you're kind of stupid."  

"Whatever. You know, she is head over heals for him. I give it two weeks before they are together for real."

I slowly walked up to them wondering what they were talking about. Was it about me and Justin?  

"Hey what are you guys talking about," I said wondering what they would say.  

"Nothing much, just about Taylor Swift and that guy that was in her last music video," Jasmine said nonchalantly, I couldn't be sure if she was lying since she was a really good liar, so I just shook it off. If anything, she will probably just tell me later.

"OK cool," I said and we started to talk about random stuff and before I knew it we were laughing like crazy. Justin had came up and was talking with Ryan before he said he had to leave. He gave me a hug and told Jasmine bye. 

When I looked at my phone, I saw that it was almost eleven. "Hey Jazz, its almost eleven we should get going."  

"OK come with me to get my bag and we can go," she said. We walked to the front of the house door where we left her bag, and got ready to leave the party. We both told Ryan bye and he gave me a side hug and we left.  

When we got to my house, Jasmine went in with me since she was going to be spending the night. We went to my room and laughed about random stuff. Then somehow we got onto the topic of Justin, "So do you like him?" 

"Yeah," I said with a smile then she looked at me and I continued, "as a friend of course. I don't think I'm ready for a relationship yet." she gave me a sure that's what you meant look and I just laughed. We both fell asleep a few hours later.
