Chapter Fifty

"Gongju..." I hear Taehyung croon in my sleep. My subconscious is unsure if it's a dream or not.

I'm in Seoul, right?

"Gongju...jagi. Baby, wake up please." He kisses my cheek and my eyes heavily flutter open.

I smile as soon as I see those big brown eyes looking back at me. It wasn't just a good dream. He's right here. I'm in Seoul.

Finally!

I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him down to plant multiple kisses along his cheeks, making him giggle at the tickle it leaves along the way.

"I have school baby girl." He nuzzles into my neck and blows into my skin making me be the one to giggle this time.

"Do you have to go?" I pout and run my hands through his unstyled and messy bed head.

I didn't realize how much I missed seeing his morning hair with the dark pieces sticking up in every direction but still as soft and shiny as it always is. His voice was still slightly raspy from sleep and it's pure bliss to hear him talk to me.

"I have to go. Last day. Do you want to come with me? My professors already said it was fine." He sticks out his bottom lip and flutters his long, straight eyelashes.

How could I say no to that face?

"Of course I'll come with you." I tap on his shoulder to have him sit up so we can start getting ready.

Leaving the hotel in the morning together was rapturous to say the least. I don't think I could be any happier than I am in this moment. Just walking alongside him as he holds my hand, slightly swinging with every step as he happily strides to the waiting car outside. Seeing him smiling so much and with a bit more life in his eyes makes my heart do flips.

"Today is a good day." He says with a bright smile as he buckles his seat belt and waits for me to buckle mine.

"Because it's the last day of class?" I ask, the buckle making an audible click on the last word.

"Because I woke up to you." He leans over and puckers his lips, adorably asking for me to give him a kiss.

I can't help but giggle at how cute he looks and he does all he can to keep his lips in the same formation through his own laughter.

I plant a kiss on his forehead and on both cheeks before placing one onto his waiting lips as he wanted. A flush of pink covers his face as he sits back in his seat and begins to drive away.

"I'm not going to understand a thing today, am I?" I look over at him as we drive down the city streets, not far from the main campus.

"You will understand my English class." He shrugs and I shake my head with a smile continuously staying on my face.

"It's okay. As long as I'm with you." I grab his hand and he gives me a wink.

As we turn into the parking lot, we see Jungkook standing out front with a backpack hoisted over one shoulder and waving to us. He walks over to my door and opens it for me once Taehyung puts the car in park. He extends his hand out for mine and I accept as I swing my leg out of the door.

"Kamsahmnida." I bow once I've stepped out completely.

"So formal." He smirks.

I know Jungkook is just being his typical self around the female gender and I really don't get the vibe that he's trying to steal me away like what happened to Uncle Kim. If anything he's just being a bratty best friend. I'm just glad Taehyung isn't thinking anything of it either.

As expected, we get a lot of stares as we three walk in together with me sandwiched in between their tall frames. Males and females alike watch our every movement, reminiscent of the plastics walking through the high school halls on Mean Girls. I could almost hear Missy Elliot's Pass That Dutch playing in my head. Taehyung wraps his arm around me when he looks over to me and sees the wide eyed expression on my face, pulling me in closer to him protectively. He must notice the stares too and he knows I'm not fond of being the center of attention.

Meanwhile, Jungkook is thriving at all of the attentiveness we're getting. Especially from the females as he winks, nods and does other facial expressions showing his interest to each and every one of them. Most swoon and giggle, but some flirt right back. Yeah, he's definitely not slacking in the dating department.

"Everyone is looking at us." He whispers to Taehyung who just nods and quietly continues on his path to their classroom.

"Hey bro." A Caucasian male at least ten to fifteen years older than us reaches out to smack Taehyung's hand as we reach a classroom door.

"Hey bro." Taehyung smiles and accepts his friendly gesture.

"This must be the girl you've been talking about. Nice to meet you. Ava, right?" He reaches out to shake my hand and I accept, along with a smile and a nod. I'm too nervous around all these watchful eyes to even speak up at the moment.

"Come on jagi. We don't want to be late. The professor might get mad." Taehyung steps towards the open door behind the man.

Taehyung, Jungkook and I find three consecutive empty seats in the middle of the rows of chestnut colored desks and casually sit down as they pull out their supplies before class starts.

I see the same man we were just speaking to walk up to the front of the classroom and begin to write down some phrases in both Korean and English.

"Wait...he's your teacher?" I whisper to Taehyung.

He grins and nods, "He is. He's really cool."

"I see that." I smile and sit back.

As the class continues and everyone including Taehyung and Jungkook answer the professor's questions, I take the opportunity to reverse teach myself. When the teacher would say a Korean phrase means something in English, I'd take the chance to learn the Korean term instead. Since I'm here, I might as well take the opportunity to learn myself.

"How do you pronounce this again?" Jungkook whispers as he leans in closer to me.

I look at his paper and see him pointing at the word frustrated with the end of his pen. I look up at him with a smirk as his big doe eyes meet mine.

"Frustrated. Frus-tra-ted." I whisper back to him as he silently mimics me.

"Frustrated." He whispers as he look back down to his paper and jots down some notes. "What's it mean?"

"Kind of like being annoyed." I smile and turn to look at Taehyung who's smiling at the both of us and then adjusting his line of vision back up to the front of the class.

"Ah...like I'm frustrated with the class." Jungkook whispers back to me and nods.

"Exactly." I quietly chuckle along with Taehyung.

Taehyung had three more classes for the rest of the day and with each one, he would get more and more anxious to leave. By the time it was fifteen minutes until the last class was over, he was bouncing his leg and tapping his pen. I notice one of the girls in the class looking over at him with a knitted brow so I place my hand over his to stop him from making the annoying noise. As I look back up to her she smiles at me and bows her head in appreciation, her long pin straight black hair falling into her face slightly in the process. I smile back at her and look over to Taehyung who mouths the word mian in her direction.

"Why are you so anxious?" I whisper into his ear, my warm breath accidentally clearly having an effect on him as he swiftly grabs my thigh under the table with a strong grip.

I turn my head so that he can whisper back into my ear before the professor gets done writing information on the board.

"I'm just ready to get out of here." His hand gently squeezes my thigh again.

I watch his leg continue to bounce as he scoots down further into his chair. The anticipation of being done with the semester was eating him alive, but I could relate. I was the same way for my last class of the semester just less than a week ago.

The professor turns to face the class, saying one last thing and bowing right before everyone stands up, beginning to gather their things. The students bow to the short dark haired man that gave the lecture today on their way out of the door with Taehyung and I falling right into the line.

He happily walks out of the building to head down the long sidewalk towards where he parked the car this morning. He waves his goodbyes to people he knows with a bright smile plastered on his face. I'm completely lost at what's being said between him and other people, but I just bow when he does and smile if someone smiles at me.

We round a corner where not as many people are and he stops and turns to me, wrapping his arms around my waist. I reach up and intertwine my fingers behind his neck.

"Thank you for coming with me to class today. I used to daydream about you being there with me." He smiles down at me.

"Really?" I giggle. "I was happy to spend more time with you. Even if it was in a classroom."

I raise up on my toes to rub my nose on his and I'm about to kiss him when we both hear a loud noise next to us.

"Aish!" Jimin exclaims as he walks up to meet us. "Now I'm glad you got hotel room." He smiles over at me as I lower myself back down on to my heels.

"Jealous." Taehyung teases.

Jimin rolls his eyes and hooks his arm with mine as he walks me over to Taehyung's waiting car. He opens the passenger side door for me once he hears it beep from Taehyung unlocking it with the key fob and then climbs in the back seat for himself. He scoots over the middle and pats both of our shoulders once Taehyung sits down.

Jimin and Taehyung had been friends along with Jungkook since they were young kids and I had grown accustomed to their playful banter over the last few months.

But occasionally I'd see them do little things for each other that would always warm my heart. Taehyung would often pay for their food and drinks, Jimin would bring Taehyung a blanket if he mentioned he was cold while talking to me during video chats and Jungkook would often help Taehyung with his studies. There was no doubt in my mind the love these three shared between each other went far deeper than the surface I had seen. I'm sure they were there for each other through their heartbreaks, their struggles and their sacrifices. It makes me feel warm inside that Taehyung wants to introduce me to the most important people in his life.

"What's the plan now?" I ask once Taehyung begins to drive out of the parking lot.

"We're going to drop Jimin off at the dorm and I'll pack my things for the Christmas break. Then later, you and I will go have dinner together. Just us two this time." He glances back at Jimin who sits back and pouts like a child who didn't get their way.

"Maybe we can hang out after dinner. With Jimin and Jungkook." I softly smile at Taehyung and glance back at Jimin who's eyes are now much brighter.

"Yeah, that'd be cool." He smirks and looks in the rear view mirror at Jimin who is silently clapping.

He can clearly understand English better than he can pronounce it. I wish I was more fluent in Korean so I wouldn't feel like we were excluding him from the conversation. I'd like to get to know the people in his life better. This is one of the downsides to international relationships. I hope meeting his parents tomorrow isn't an awkward mess.

A few minutes later, we pull up to the dorms and make our way inside. Much like back at home, the dorms are already less populated than what I saw yesterday. I assume many people are already off to spend the holiday with their friends or family. The guys discuss something in Korean during our lift in the elevator up to their floor as I stand near the wall silently unsure of what's being said, but it doesn't bother me any.

The silver elevator doors slide open and I look up to see what floor we're on to make sure it was our stop before I step off and begin to walk in front of them as they continue with their conversation a few steps behind me.

"Hey," Taehyung quickly jogs up to me and Jimin does the same to meet me on the other side, "sorry for leaving you out of the conversation."

I smile over at him and shake my head before turning to face Jimin who looks apologetic as well, "No, it's okay. Really."

Jimin nods and wraps his arm around me to pull me in for a quick one armed hug as we take a couple of more steps before reaching the door. Taehyung unlocks it for us and Jimin steps in, leaving Taehyung and I to linger in the hallway for a bit more.

As I'm about to walk over the threshold, Taehyung grabs my wrist and gently spins me into his arms, closing the door along the way.

"I haven't had a minute alone with you since this morning." He smiles down at me as he leans his back against the wall.

"It's okay. We'll have our moments." I scrunch my nose up cutely.

"Like this one." His voice drops an octave as his hands roam over my backside and grip my ass, pulling me even tighter to his body.

"Tae!" I giggle as he peppers kisses along my cheek and neck. "Not right here."

"I know." He pulls back licking his lips and grinning back at me. "I just missed that sound."

He sears a kiss on to my lips before he stands up from the wall and opens the door again for us to go inside. He heads directly for their room and I follow behind, unsure where I should place myself while Jimin continues to pack his suitcase and Taehyung pulls his luggage out to put his items inside.

"For you. Merry Christmas." Jimin walks up to me and hands me a small box wrapped in foiled red and green wrapping paper and a matching bow.

"You got me a present?" I smile up at him and he nods with a bright smile on his face, showcasing a slightly crooked front tooth that only adds to his charm. "You didn't have to do that! Thank you! Uh...kamsahmnida!" I bow and begin to open the gift when he gestures for me to go ahead and do so.

"It's not much." He says just before I pull off the wrapping paper completely.

I pop open the box and see a Christmas ornament inside that has Hangul written on it.

"Ga...gajok?" I question as I try to read it out loud and look up to him with my eyebrows raised, hoping I didn't completely butcher that or say something wrong.

He claps and nods in agreement that I said it correctly...or at least good enough. I can never be sure if they're just trying to be nice.

"It means family. You," He points at me, "are family now."

My bottom lip pokes out and my eyes begin to grow hot from the tears starting to form at the thoughtful gift I will cherish forever. I look over at Taehyung who is acting like a brat and teasing me by running a finger from his eye down his cheek. He knew I'd cry from getting the gift from Jimin. I roll my eyes and swipe away the tear that fell and throw his own pillow at him as he smiles and turns back around to continue packing.

I hold my arms out to give Jimin a hug and thank him for the gift again, letting him know how much I loved it. He chuckles and rubs my back before straightening back up and turning to finish packing.

I feel bad that I didn't get him anything, but in my defense, I didn't know him very well before yesterday and I had no idea he was going to get me something.

I stare down at the clear Christmas ornament with red Hangul writing on it and fake snow inside. It's a very simple gift, but the fact that he thought about me enough to spend his money on it and the fact he considers me their family now warms my heart so much.

I hear the main door open and Jungkook walks into the bedroom a few seconds later, plopping down on Taehyung's bed and putting his back up against the wall with his legs sprawled out. "What are we doing tonight?"

"I was thinking we could all hang out after Taehyung and I go to dinner." I speak up to answer Jungkook's question.

"Movie night?" Jungkook's big doe eyes grow even larger when they look at me and then at Taehyung.

"Sure." Taehyung shrugs and smiles back at me.

A movie night sounds perfect actually. Not too stimulating to the point where I'm exhausted, or worse hungover, the next day.

I hear Jimin and Jungkook both get on the phone, speaking in Korean of course so I can't understand what's being said. However, the tones of their voices tell me that they plan on having dates of their own.
