Chapter Eighty-Four

"Yeoboseyo?" Taehyung answers the phone just as I finished slipping out of my bridesmaid's dress and into something much more comfortable but keeping my hair and makeup done from the wedding just in case I decide not to stay in for the night.

"Hey babe." I croon lovingly, my heart racing by the sound of his voice.

"I was hoping you'd call." He says making me smile like an idiot.

"You were?" I innocently ask.

"Mmhmm. How was the wedding? Did Uncle Kim show up?"

"The wedding was so beautiful. They fly out for their honeymoon early in the morning. Around the same time Uncle Kim flies out too, I believe." I inform him, "He did make it to the wedding and we danced and talked for a little bit."

"Uh oh...is Uncle Kim trying to steal you away from me now, too?" Taehyung chuckles.

"No." I giggle with a roll of my eyes as I adjust myself on my bed, "And no one has stolen me from you."

"But I'm not with you right now, though." He flirts and I feel a warmth rush over my body.

"You can be." I flirt right back.

"Do you want me to be?" The tone of his voice perks up a bit and I can hear him move around in the background.

"Yes." I answer honestly. The sound of keys jingling makes me smile and when I hear the door shut and lock, I can't help but to giggle, "Tae, what are you doing?"

"Coming to you." He answers matter-of-factually.

"Quit playing." I huff, not believing him right away.

The sound of the car engine starting and music beginning to play makes me sit straight up in bed and my eyes widen. I look around the bedroom at the dirty pile of clothes hanging out of the hamper, the unmade bed from this morning, and the mess of cosmetics I can see on the countertop in my en-suite bathroom. I'm not a messy person by any means, but I was in such a hurry this morning that I figured I'd just clean up tomorrow.

"Now do you believe me?" He chuckles as he hears me shuffling around.

"Yes, I do. Drive safe. Ring the buzzer when you get here." I inform him as I rush to the bathroom to freshen up a bit.

We say our goodbyes and I continue to quickly refresh my hair and touch up some of my makeup. I decide to put on some cuter comfortable clothes, opting for a blue silk sleep set with lace detailing instead of the sweatpants and baggy T-shirt I just had on.

The next forty five minutes or so it took for Taehyung to drive from our hometown seemed to go by much quicker than I anticipated as I rushed around. The buzzer sounds signaling that he's arrived and I do my best to calm my beating heart as I wait for him.

With three quick knocks to my door, I open it up to welcome the man I've been aching to spend time with since I left Uncle Kim's house the other day.

The moment he sees me, he pulls me into him and sears a longing kiss on my lips and I melt into his desperate touch. The warmth of his body against my thinly clothed one and the soft skin of his lips instantly clears my mind of anything else going on in the world around me.

"Sorry." He smirks and licks his lips with hooded eyes. "I've been wanting to do that again every single day."

"Me too." I bashfully grin up at him.

He pecks my lips again before forcing himself to pull away, "I'll be glad when I don't have to use restraint with you anymore."

"Such a good boy." I tease with a smirk as I take two steps backwards with my eyes still trained on him before turning around and walking towards the couch.

I hear his breath hitch as he notices the blue lace cami and matching shorts that hit just below my ass as he watches me prance away. Watching him squirm over me and do his best to keep his composure is thrilling to say the least. I know I'm just setting myself up for a punishment in the future, but that just makes it even more exciting.

"Not such a good girl, though." His voice drops an octave as he makes his way to sit next to me.

I look at him innocently, "I don't know what you mean."

He sassily rolls his eyes at me before handing me over a small gift bag that I didn't notice in his hand a moment ago. "I brought you something."

"You really didn't have to." I try to nonchalantly say before excitedly snatching the silver polka dot bag and begin to pull out the pink tissue paper.

He laughs at my eagerness and waits with wide eyes for me to get down to the bottom, "It's not much, but I saw it and thought of you."

I pull out a small snow globe with a beautiful white dove inside, "It's gorgeous. When did you get it?"

"Um, like two years ago?" He squints one of his eyes as he looks up to the ceiling, trying to remember the time frame. "It was around the time I first got into the military."

Smiling at it, I shake it to watch the glitter float around with the light catching it as it falls towards the bottom, "Why did a dove remind me of you, though?"

I can't remember a time when I said I liked doves, although they are beautiful, but I'm just not sure why this made him think of me when he saw it.

"Well, your name means like a bird and doves symbolize love and peace, which is what you are to me." Taehyung chews on his lip as he cutely looks at me with his cheeks reddening a bit.

My heart fills with an abundance of appreciation for this man in my life. Just the fact that he thought all of that about me when he saw this little gift and kept it for about two years makes it that much more special.

I stand up and place it in the middle of the entertainment console so that it's directly in my vision at all times.

"I absolutely love it." I smile down at it, watching the glitter float back down to the bottom again.

Suddenly I feel warm, strong hands cautiously snake around my waist and his hard frame pressing into me from behind as he continues to wrap his arms around me, "I absolutely love you."

Turning my head, I crane my neck to look up at him with a smile. His lips are just inches from my own. I can feel every hair on my body stand at attention from the intense desire between us as my smile slowly fades and my breath quickens. There's no question that he wants me just as bad as I want him. I've always wanted him.

His eyes move from my eyes to my lips and back up to my eyes again as he stares deep into them, telling me everything without saying a word.

"I love you, too." I whisper before pressing my lips to his.

A soft groan escapes him as my tongue parts his lips and he yearningly grants me access. Turning my body around to face him without breaking the kiss, I wrap my arms around his neck and tug at his hair. His hands trail down my backside to grip my ass, pulling me as close to him as possible.

Stopping suddenly with panting breaths and a furrowed brow, he presses his forehead to mine and tightly closes his eyes, "Jagi nega pillyohae."

"I need you, too." I bite my lip.

"So...choose me." He opens his eyes, looking deep into mine. "Choose me."

I know in my heart I want to claim him right here, but I start to think about Ethan and even if I was to pick Taehyung right now and give him my entire mind, body and soul, I couldn't do that to Ethan without talking with him first. He doesn't deserve that.

"I need to talk to Ethan." I simply reply.

Taehyung nods his head in agreement, taking a second to hold me closer to him for just a moment longer. His fingers press into me as if I could slip through them as I trace my nails down the back of his neck, feeling the goosebumps trail along his honey complected skin.

Stepping back, he inhales deeply while doing his best to calm himself, "Want to watch a movie?"

"Sure." I grin up at him and he gives me a crescent eyed smile in return.

We put on a random Netflix original movie we both agreed looked interesting while I popped some popcorn and grabbed us both something to drink. Taehyung covers us both up with the blanket that was draped over the armrest once I made it back to join him on the couch and I snuggle into his side with him happily wrapping his arm around me.

This feels safe. It feels familiar and warm and reassuring. He and I never needed to do extravagant things together or him go out of his way to plan a date. To me, this is the best way I would like to spend any time with him. No distractions, just he and I in our own little bubble.

Two downed bottles of beer, a half eaten bowl of popcorn and halfway through a movie that looked more promising on the trailer than it actually delivered, he has shifted his position to lay his head down in my lap so that I can play in his hair.

His eyes roll back with each gentle scratch to his scalp and I notice how much harder it's getting for him to keep his eyes open. Still, I don't want the night to end. I don't ever want him to leave if I'm being honest.

And I know he's the one for me.

"Hey." I softly say.

"Hmm?" He responds with a raspy voice and his eyes remaining closed.

"Go lay down in my bed."

He perks up, turning on his back so that he can look at me and forcing me to stop playing in his fluffy dark hair, "You don't want me to leave?

I slowly shake my head with a loving smile, "I don't. Plus, it's too far of a drive with you being this tired."

"I can just sleep on the couch if you want." He blinks heavily.

"Go lay down in my bed, Taehyung." I lightly giggle.

"With...you?" He opens one eye, trying to focus as much as he can.

"With me." I lean down and kiss his forehead.

"I finally get your snuggles." He says through a groan as he forces himself to raise up. "I'll stay in my sweatpants. Promise. But I'm not sleeping with this hoodie on."

"That's fine with me." I laugh out at his cuteness, raising up to grab the remote to turn off the television and decide to leave the rest to be cleaned up tomorrow. I grab the hem of his hoodie and help him take it off. His exhausted arms barely able to stay up much longer after he's free of it.

He stands up and rubs his eyes with the back of his left hand while extending out his right, asking for my own. The moment I take it, he pulls me into his frame, wrapping my arms around him and lazily placing his chin on top of my head.

"This feels surreal." He mumbles.

I smile on his bare chest, relishing in the feeling of his soft skin pressed against my cheek and the sound of his heartbeat pounding against my ear drum.

"It really does. Come on, let's go to sleep." I pull back and raise myself up on my tippy toes to leave a gingerly kiss on his pouty lips before taking his hand and leading him to my bedroom.

While taking off the decorative pillows on my queen sized bed, Taehyung pulls back the covers and slides in between my white sheets. He stretches out one of his arms, indicating that he'd like for me to snuggle with him and I happily do so as he simultaneously wraps it around my shoulder to hold me closer.

"Good night, gongju." He hums, falling back into a deep sleep.

"Good night baby." I croon, wrapping my leg around his, holding him as close to me as possible.
