Chapter | 21
I accidentally published it last time -.-
It was a mess. Sorry :(
Perhaps it was her guts telling her to bash his head, or maybe just the adrenaline boiling in her blood.
Whatever it was, Alina hated this devil disguised as the black haired bodyguard, and she was on the verge of snapping.
"And this is a perfect plan, indeed." David clasps his hands, eyeing his 'masterpiece'. Blood was spattered across the white marble floor, the light grey curtains ripped, the remains of the glass coffee table spattered across the floor. The suite was completely trashed.
"Fake my death? What stupid idea have you gotten next?" Alina spat, her penetrating eyes wandering across what used to be her suite.
She still hadn't taken her pills, that brainless nut had thrown them away. She knew what was coming.
She winced, staring at the puddle of blood on the floor. Her blood. She breathes in, having no other choice but to follow whatever his wish was.
"I am perfectly able to kill you."
"But you won't. It's against your morals." David ignored her, motioning her to go outside.
It was currently three in the morning, the sky was raging, thunders roared, the rain battering down on the large glass windows. A perfect time to escape.
Alina stepped out of her suite, gazing at the door in front of hers for a minute. Was he there? What was he doing?
Probably saving people.
But he couldn't save me.
And on spur of the moment, just like that, she had enough.
Enough of everything. Lies, getting hurt, broken promises..
"I'm not letting anyone hurt me again." She mutters through gritted teeth. Perhaps they thought of it funny, hurting her, uttering vile words at her.
"What the heck? Keep on walking, pretty doll." David whispers, making sure nobody heard. Alina turns around, facing him, and before he could comprehend anything,
he was thrown backwards, his back colliding against the remains of the shattered table.
And just like that, he blacked out.
"Weak." Alina spattered as she closed the door quietly, and controlled her breath before rushing down the hallway.

I ran down the emergency stairs, faster than I've ever did. Perhaps it was the fear overpowering me, I don't really know.
Once I arrived at the front lobby, I was greeted by the dark area. A guard was sleeping, slightly snoring, against the wall, his flashlight still on.
I walked quietly towards the west emergency door, and hoped that no one would notice me.
Once the large steel door came to view, my legs moved faster. I need to get outside.
I pushed the door as slowly as I could, praying that it wouldn't produce any unwanted sounds. And there I was, finally out of the building.
I stood there, speechless, staring at my bandaged arm.
What do I do? For the first time in my life, I don't have a plan.
Call him? Explain everything to him? No, it's too late for that.
He won't forgive me. I reach for my phone, which was now completely shattered. I sigh, throwing away the remains of it into the parking lot.
If he really does care for me, he'll find me.
I quickly turn around, running towards my car, still in my reach.
This isn't good.
David will probably wake up soon, and I won't have much time.
I search my pockets frantically, and stops as soon as my fingertips touch the familiar metal object. I take out my keys, and as soon as I'm in the car, I start it, and press the gas pedal as hard as I could.
The tires screech, and I quickly grab the steering, taking control. I'm out of here.
For the first time, I'm truly all by myself.
[ E N D OF P O V ]
"Thank you, Raven." Damian mutters as he gazes the small phial in between his fingers. It contained a dark blue potion, bubbles forming every second.
"We're here to help each other. You'd do the same." She concludes, her short black hair blown by the wind. She sighs, and in a flash, she disappears.
Damian placed the small potion in his pocket, and reached for his phone. He unlocked it, ringing Bruce's number.
"Hello?" Bruce's heavy sound was heard at the other line.
"Father, I've got the antidote. We have the cure now."
"Good. When will you be back?" Bruce asks, rattling sounds in the background.
"Tomorrow, I have some things to clear up first." Damian implored before disconnecting the call.
He looks around the dark alley, puts his hands into his pockets, and casually walks towards his car.
~
Once he arrived in the familiar large building, Damian was slightly taken aback by the ambulances. He parked his car, and opened the door, to be greeted by the cold whistling wind.
What was going on?
Something wasn't right. He knew it. A mass of students were outside, some were crying; others had shocked expressions plastered across their faces.
Bodyguards were around the place. Damian noticed the parked cars, some of them ambulances, police cars.. but Alina's car wasn't in sight.
What did she do this time?
He ran inside, barging through the emergency stairs's doors. He ran as fast as he could. As soon as he arrived in his level, he saw security all over the place. Policemen, FBI officers, a few teachers.
"Mister Wayne, don't-"
"Move." Damian cut him off, barging through the mass of people.
And as soon as he arrived in front of her door, a deep ache slowly formed inside.
He saw a puddle of blood, right there, in her living room. Her entire suite was trashed. No signs of her.
"Where is she?" He asked the Principal, whom was standing next to him.
"We- we don't know. She just disappeared." He mutters, his body shaking.
"This is bad. This is very, very bad. She's a member of the Royal family. They'll cut my head for this!" The Principal rambles, walking away, a few officers following him, wanting to ask a few questions.
Damian walked away, his heartbeat loud as ever, as he opened the glass doors leading towards the balcony.
His gaze swept the streets, as he calmed himself down. He stood still by the edge, just like he always did, but Alina wasn't by his side this time.
Now, everything was clear. He had one thing left to do.
He had to find her.
- THE END -
Of the first half of the book.
The second half will be based on Alina and Damian's P.O.V only.
Again, excuse me if you find any mistakes in my writing, because English isn't my first language, and sometimes I tend to write messily.
Thank you for all of you who've read until this part! It makes me so happy :)
