Jim's POV
It was the middle of the night,and no one could sleep.I walked downstairs to see Claire awake on the couch.

"You ok?",I asked.

She nodded."Just nervous,y'know?"

I nodded."Totally relatable",I said.

She smiled as I sat down next to her.She laid her head in my lap and I begun to play with her hair.

She cut the tv on and we sat together watching some movies together.Eventually,we both fell asleep.

"Wake up guys!",I heard someone yell.

I open one of my eyes to see Tobes standing in front of me.

"Wake up!Its 2:00 in the afternoon and we are suppose to be at Troll Market",Toby yelled.

Claire sighed."Alright,we're going.We're going",she said as she grabbed her bag.

I put my jacket on as we all walked out of my house to trollmarket.

Once we arrived,Blinky was waiting next to the portal.

"Are you ready Master Jim?Once you go in,there's no turning back",he said.

I nodded."The portal will have to stay open the whole time your in so make it quick.We cannot let Gunmar escape again no matter what",Blinky said.

"Alright,Claire and Toby are staying here to keep guard.AAARRRGGHH,your coming with me",I said.

Blinky nodded as he stood next to Claire and Toby.

Merlin walked in and looked at us."I don't see why your going in there.Your going to sacrifice everything for some pity child?All he would do is cause chaos",Merlin said as he made a disproving look.

Claire walked over to him."Don't you dare say anything about my child.You don't know what it's like to lose a child so don't be talking trash about my son",she sneered.

Merlin laughed."I knew he would be a menace and a distraction.He will only make your job harder but if you left him there,you can focus on your job",Merlin said.

"He is not a menace or a distraction.He's my kid and I won't make him suffer in the darklands.Im his father and it's my responsibility to keep him safe.He's just a baby,he can't protect himself",I said.

Merlin sighed."As you wish but believe me,things will only get worse"

Claire stormed back over to Toby as he tired to calm her down.

"Fair well Trollhunter",Merlin said as he exited the room.

"Don't let him get in your head Master Jim,do exactly what you came here to do",Blinky said.

"Merlin is just a pain in the butt",Claire said.

"All in favor of throwing him out into the ocean for the sharks to eat say I",Toby said.

Everyone but Blinky and me said "I".

"We aren't throwing him into the ocean Tobes.We need him to help us",I said.

Toby crossed his arms.

"We will be back as soon as possible",I said as AAARRRGGHH and I walked through the portal.

Once we passed,AAARRRGGHH growled.

"Don't like Darklands",he said.

"Same here but the sooner we get Liam,the faster we can leave"

We walked down the endless roads and admired the black rocks with a green glow coming from them.

"I think it was this way",I said as we jumped off a ledge.We hiked up another big rock and looked over to see the Darklands Nursery.

I was about to jump onto one of the baskets but AAARRRGGHH pushed me down.

"Goblins",he whispered.

I looked at the very top and saw three Goblins guarding one basket.

"I'll get him.Make sure the Goblins didn't take any other babies before Liam",I said.

AAARRRGGHH nodded as he jumped off the rock.He then sneakily walked around the bottom row of baskets.

I looked back up and put my sword away as I jumped onto a chain,holding a small baby bed.

As the chains rattled,I looked down.Hoping that the Goblins didn't hear it.

I glanced up seeing one holding a bottle.The other two Goblins looked around upon hearing the rattling.They didn't bother to look down but they ran away to look for what made the noise.

I began to make my way up at a fast pace and came up behind the Goblin.

"Hello"

His eyes widen as a dropped the bottle."And goodbye",I said as I used my foot to kick him off.

I looked in the basket and saw Liam.

When he saw me,he started crying.

"Sh,your ok!Daddy's going to bring you home",I said as I grabbed him.

I wrapped him up in a warm blanket that was left in the basket and crawled down.

AAARRRGGHH ran to me with a panicked face.

"What's wrong?"

He pointed towards the exit as guards stood there.

I looked back at him."Was there any kids left?"

He nodded."Only one",he said as he showed me a newborn baby girl cuddled up into his soft green fur/moss arm.

More guards began to surround us."This was a trap!"

"AAARRRGGHH,you have to go now!Take them and go!",I said as I gave Liam to him.

Liam reached out to me and I quickly pecked his forehead."Go now.Ill hold them off",I said.

AAARRRGGHH nodded and took off to the portal.

The guards surrounded me as I grabbed my sword.

Two of them grabbed their spears and began attacking.

I stabbed the last one as I kicked the second one back.Before he got up,I jumped up and cut my sword right into his chest.

They hotel turned into dust.I began to make a run for it by sliding under some more minions.In dodged their attacks and reached the portal.Behind me was Gunmar with his army.

"You will not survive next time Hunter!I will have my revenge",he yelled as I jumped through.

The portal closed behind me as I laid on the ground.

"Jim are you ok?",Claire yelled in worry as she ran up to me.I sat up and looked at her.

"I'm fine.Just got a little knocked up",I said.

She sighed in relief.

"Were you able to find-",Toby started but was interrupted with a startling cry.

"I'll take that as a yes",Toby said happily.

"Liam!",Claire yelled as she ran over to AAARRRGGHH.She immediately grabbed Liam and crushed him in a cuddle hug.

"There's one more",I said.

I walked over it AAARRRGGHH and grabbed the little newborn out of his arms.

Claire gasped along with Toby and ran over.

"Oh you poor thing",she said as she touched the little girls forehead.

"How did you find did her?",Toby asked.

"She was left over in a basket.She could have been accidentally left behind from the last time we retrieved the babies",I stated.

"What are we going to do with her?",Claire asked.

"There wasn't a name on the basket",AAARRRGGHH said.

"Then she is most likely an orphan",Blinky commented.

"I can't believe we left her behind",Claire said as she gave the newborn a motherly look.

I stayed silent and looked at Claire."What if ...we gave her a home",I said.

"Jim,our hands are already full.We had Liam when we were 16.You are 17 and I still have another three months before I turn 17.I don't think we can have two",she said.

"We can make it work.She needs a home Claire",I said.

"I know and I want to give her one but we can hardly spend time with Liam.Let alone get a babysitter to keep him safe",she said.

"Then I'll stay home more.You can move in with me and we can turn the guest bedroom into Liam's room.Then,we can put another crib in an extra room for her",I said.

"Yeah,ill help babysit when you train",Toby said.

"Yes,I too will join in helping out",Blinky said.

"Guys,thanks but how will our parents react"?",She said.

"I'll handle it.Lets just give her some TLC",I said as I grabbed Liam.He began to calm down as the small little girl slept on Claire's shoulder.
