Serenity's P.O.V.

"I'm bored again," Aera complained. "What do we do now?!"

"I say we go find Claire," I declared, jumping up and striking a triumphant pose.

"YEAH!!!" Jersey agreed, jumping up and striking the same pose I did.

"Fine... let's go see Claire," Aera grumbled, zipping up her rain coat very slowly.  We zipped up ours and grabbed umbrellas.  Then, we set off to see Claire.

Claire's P.O.V.

I heard some running nearby.

"Claire!  There you are!" I heard Serenity say.  I looked to my right, where her and the others were.  I then looked away again.

"I need to be alone right now..." I told her

"But Claire-"  Serenity's protesting was cut off.

"Just leave her alone," I heard Aera order. "Let's let that hothead cool off."

"SHE'S NOT A HOTHEAD!!!" Serenity argued. "YOU CAUSED HER TO BE LIKE THIS AND YOU WON'T EVEN APOLOGIZE?!?!"  The two got into another argument.  I feel like I'm the cause of this.  As if my emotions... can influence how they feel.  I stood up.

"Goodbye, girls," I quickly said before sprinting away.  Tears were coming down my face at full blast.

Max's P.O.V.

I turned off the TV.  The forecast seems pretty bad today.  I hear a lot of splashing outside... and it sounds too heavy to be the rain...

I look out my window just in time to see Claire, drenched, with no jacket or anything, run by.  Well THAT'S  sure something you don't see every- wait...

CLAIRE?!?!  WHAT'S SHE DOING OUT THERE, WITH SHORT SLEEVES, AND NOTHING TO PROTECT HER FROM THE STORM?!  SHE'LL CATCH A COLD!!!  I ran out there without even thinking.  I didn't grab a coat OR an umbrella OR even boots.  At least I was wearing long sleeves.  I ran to catch up to Claire.

"CLAIRE!!!" I called, coming to a stop.  She stopped, too.  She turned around and looked at me.

"Max?"

"You'll catch a cold out here.  My place isn't far.  You could come over and hang out until the rain stops."  She turned away.

"I don't need help... JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!!"  A strange cosmic force came out of nowhere and tackled me to the ground.  Did Claire... do that?

Claire's P.O.V.

I heard Max wince in pain.  I turn around again.  I saw Max on the ground.  He was clutching himself in pain.  Come to think of it, I did feel something strange leave my body just a few seconds ago... wait...  did I do that to him?!?!  Do I have powers I don't know about?  Can I really hurt people like I just did to Max?  If so... I just can't stay here.  I'll hurt people if I do...

"Goodbye, Max," I said, bowing slightly and then running again.  I can't stay here... I JUST CAN'T!!!
