Last Chapter
A few months later (time-jump 🥰)
Everything was finally okay.
Seonghwa placed the last file in his desk, leaning back in his office chair. He set his heels on the desk and his hands behind his head, letting his eyes close for a moment.
They'd successfully sued JYP and ended the corrupt practices at their factories. They'd even managed to gain ownership of the company shares and were taking measures to give fair and safe jobs to the workers who had been subjected to horrible treatment, as well as donated all profits from JYP to their families.
In taking legal action, Seonghwa had to officially announce his name and role in the company, officially coming forward as KQ's next CEO. And the response had been pretty positive so far. After all, his first moment in the spotlight was a pretty great one.
He'd received thousands of messages from his former co-workers as they were unable to process the information. Wooyoung was especially shocked. He showed up at Seonghwa's door and demanded answers, but after hearing everything he calmed down and tried his best to convince Seonghwa to promote him.
He did end up granting Wooyoung a raise. As well as San, even though he didn't ask for it.
Yeosang was under supervision but was granted a corporate level job for his work on the JYP case and his clear skills in business management. His office was next door to Seonghwa's. And Seonghwa liked it as he was a pretty quiet neighbor.
And these days, he could use a bit of quiet.
After his take-over of the company, he had many more meetings and interactions with his staff and though he was grateful to finally get to know everyone, it was overwhelming.
He felt bad for Jongho as he had to filter through every person who came knocking on his door but Jongho seemed to take joy in yelling at people to wait. He was pretty good at scaring away anyone who didn't have something important to say. So that helped lower the number of faces Seonghwa had to see each day.
But there was one face at the company that he could never get sick of.
Hongjoong.
He refused to take an upper-level position as he doesn't have a passion for management so he continued working at the branch in Busan. Though the commute wasn't long, Seonghwa missed him a lot during the week. But weekends they definitely made up for lost time.
He knew that Hongjoong had incredible creative genius and would advance his way to the top team of fashion advising but he respected his wish to build his way up from the bottom.
One day they'd be able to share a building, but he'd just have to be patient.
But Seonghwa had learned he would wait for centuries if it meant he'd still get a second with Hongjoong.
