Thoughts???
This is a book called The Soul Sign. I am currently working on it and feed back would be great. Thank you all!!!!!
Darkness. That's all I see. Darkness. Silence is all I hear. There's nothing.
Am I dead? I thought.
A sudden jolt of pain exploded in my head. I gasped in pain.
Well if I was dead then I wouldn't be in pain, right?
Slowly but surely I tried to get my muscles moving again. I stood up and started moving around in my nowhere chamber. I reached my hands out, trying to find a wall or a door or something.
"Come on, come on," I muttered to myself.
I started walking around at a faster pace, looking for any sign that I was still alive and well.
"Good luck with that."
I spun around, searching for the voice.
"Who goes there?" I questioned, still looking.
"Just a servant boy," the voice sighed.
I narrowed my eyes at the sound of the voice. "If you are a servant then you should know who I am! I'm-"
"Yes your majesty, I know who you are," it said lazily.
I straightened my posture. "Then get me out of here immediately!" I demanded.
The voice laughed. "Don't you think I have already tried Sleeping Beauty? You've been out for an hour. That guy must have hit you pretty hard."
I paused. I didn't remember any guy hitting me. The last thing that I remembered was men storming the castle...
"Do you have any idea where we are?" I asked quietly.
Silence.
I sat back down and clutched onto my night gown as if it were the only thing left int the world. Images of the day flashed in my head. I had just woken up and was going to get ready for my practice coronation.
For the past year, I had been practicing for my coronation. Ever since my father died, I had been training to be the new queen. In a month, I would become the new queen of Danbury.
I heard a click and a screeching sound that sounded like a metal door was opening.
"Bring her out," a low, new voice ordered.
I heard footsteps and I stood back up. I saw a light darting around and prayed it was a flashlight. The light blinded me and I felt two pairs of arms grab me. The two of them dragged me across the cold floor, while my eyes tried to adjust. I didn't fight back, because I knew it would be useless. A harsh light filled the room and I immediately shut my eyes. Too bright now. The two of the strong humans holding me let go, and since I wasn't supporting my own body weight I fell to the ground.
"Ow," I muttered. Slowly, I opened my eyes and saw I was out of the cell and on hard wooden floors. I looked up and saw a man, about my age with dark hair and dark eyes staring down at me. There were two men standing beside me, and I could tell they were the men who grabbed me. The man standing in front of me smiled.
"Princess Ebony, welcome."
