Chapter 6

I woke up on Seto's purple bed, with my hand cuffed to the bed frame, I could still feel a welcome weight on my face, my glasses were on. My head hurt, but I moved it to look around anyway. What a mistake. "Auuurrggghhhh!" I groaned. 'That hurts! What did Seto do?' I heard footsteps and decided to pretend to be sleeping. I didn't feel like talking to anyone right now.

Not even me?

'Yah, definitely not you.'

"I know you're awake. I heard you groan." Seto sighed as he entered the room, sounding bored, scared, and tired, sort of like he'd been working. "C'mon Ian, talk to me. Don't you wanna know my secret?"

"Derp already told me."

Seto looked confused. "Who's Derp?"

"The thing I turn into when my glasses are off. We had a little chat before I woke up." I responded.

A look of understanding showed on Seto's face. "Do you like him?"

"Derp? No way. He's a psycho and he ruined my life. You don't know what he's done, and I don't think you want to."

Seto didn't respond, instead he just smiled. "I can help."

I was shocked at first. Derp was complaining, telling me to ignore whatever the sorcerer had to say, but I was hooked, so I listened to his deal. "Go on." I spoke.

"I didn't know what you were doing when you removed your glasses and cuffed yourself to the wall, but then Derp appeared. He was like an animal, his voice made my ears feel like they would bleed, and though his eyes were crooked, they were still the most beautifully colored eyes I'd ever seen. What a shame, I thought, that such a stunning gift must be covered by such a monster. I began to wonder if I could help you, and restrain the beast behind the eyes. Useing the notes I took, I found what type of monster you have. It's some sort of broken gaurdian angel, sent to help but gone astray. I just sent you to sleep with a simple unconsienceness spell, and you were out like a light. I carried you onto my bed, re-applyed those glasses onto your face," He said as he tapped my glasses, "and began my research. I beleive I have a spell that can help you."

I was elated. "You can really help me?!" Derp was screaming now.

"Yes, but I have conditions." Seto warned. I nodded furiously, "Yes, yes, anything."

"1. You cannot tell anyone about my magic, what-so-ever, 2. You must trust me, and listen to everything I say, and finally, 3. You must help me with my magic, and help me in any other way. I won't ruin your life, just little favors here and there." He stated. 'Seems legit.' "Okay, let's do this."

I sat up straight and prepaired myself, not knowing what could happen next. Seto sat cross-legged in front of me, and put his hands close together while chanting something indecipherable. Suddenly he looked up. "Oh, one more thing. There may be some... lets call them glitches in the spell, so you may notice some odd things. This is my first time casting this spell, so you must report EVERYTHING to me, just in case. Angels are powerfull, Ian, especially the one you have inside you. Got it?"

"Yah, okay, I guess." I replied

"Good." Seto spoke quickly, before returning to his spell, focusing hard.

Why are you doing this to me Ian, I thought we were friends.

'We were never friends, Derp, and you're about to be gone forever.'

He said he would help, not get rid of me. Besides, there will be glitches, remember? You'd better get used to me, cause I'm not going anywhere anytime soon.

'I am strong, Derp. You can't terrorize my life forever.'

Open eyes bring a big surprise, Ian, and you don't know when surprises are coming, because they're surprises. That's how it works. So let me ask you this, after the spell, will your eyes still be open? If they are, what will you see, and how long will you see it for. Memories stain more than blood does.

Seto cast the spell, and I immediately felt an intense pain in my head, no, my mind. I tried to hold in my screams, but I couldn't. My eyes were squeezed shut. It felt as if millions of tiny needles were being torn out of my skull, yet even more were being stabbed in. I collapsed onto the floor and screamed, while clutching my head in my heads, digging into it and drawing blood. Derp laughed. I could tell Derp was feeling the same pain that I was, maybe even more so, if that was even possible. His laughes were forced, yet genuine. It was just too much for me to handle. The pain was excruciating. I blacked out, darkness clouding my vision, or at least whatever there was left of it.

'I will never let you win...'
