Chapter Fourteen: Agony
Ian's POV
Colton languished in the cell for days. There was no point to doing anything really, to him. Then one day a guard came and tried to drag him out of the cell but he didn't let him. He sat down firmly while the guard tried to pull him out, and the guard eventually had to go get help to pull Colton out. The other guards each grabbed a limb to carry him out of the cell. He had found no more use to do anything because I knew one thing was going to happen to him. Pain. He was right sadly. The guards dragged him to a new cell and strapped him in another chair. I felt smooth round circles being stuck to his arms and legs before they left. He sat in the empty room, I had the feeling something bad was coming. Something dangerous and powerful at the same time. I was right. Nothing in the world could have prepared Colton for what happened next, nothing could have helped him get through the traumatic combination of agony, rage, sadness, heartbreak, and power. I wished it hadn't happened to him, I wanted it to happen to me instead. I had already been through it. He had not. I had already been broken, shattered to pieces. I guess he would've have had share the same fate anyway.

Seto's POV
After a couple weeks we managed to fully restore Ian's dead body. Of course the seperection wouldn't work unless the body was fit for it. So we were ready Colton was strapped into a chair and one of my extremely useful inventions, the magic circle, which allowed spells to be performed on something or someone without being in direct contact with them. 17 sorcerers and sorceress' were gathered and ready to perform the spells that were needed to perform the seperection. As the magic on my fingertips glowed with power, the small circles in Colton did the same. As each sorcerer performed a spell Colton started to whimper in pain. As I did the last spell, an inhuman sound escaped his lips. The guards fell to their knees and covered their ears. I had heard worse. I had heard Derp. I felt sweat roll down my forehead as I struggled to stay standing. Colton writhed around in his chair like before, but this time it was pure agony. He kept on screaming and writhing until two other workers rushed into the room,"SUCCESS DR. SETO! SUCCESS!" they exclaimed. I unclenched my fists and fell over, exhausted from effort and mana loss. The guards picked me up and steadied me on my feet. Once I regained balance, I walked over to the other cell adjacent to the one Colton was in I saw Ian lying on a metal table. He moaned loudly as a hand flew to his forehead and rolled over. "Open the doors," I said, and I headed to the cell entrance. But Nneka grabbed my shoulder and said, "I don't think that's a very good idea." "Nor do I." I walked into the cell and leaned on the table Ian was lying on. He rolled around until his eyes landed on me. They filled with anger and disgust before he zipped off the table, grabbed my throat, and slammed me into the wall. I manged to croak out even though Ian was gripping my windpipe, "remember me Ian?" Then with the magic I had powered up in my fists I blasted Ian off of me and he went flying backwards. I fell to the ground like a rag. "I guess you're gonna be like the rest of the gang," I said, and I picked myself up off the ground. "What?" Ian questioned. "The rest of Team Crafted. Mitch just grabbed my throat viciously." I heard a chuckle escape his lips before he looked up and said, "As in what though?" "You won't give me a chance to speak. You just attack. It's part of my curse, so I wont bother." Then I walked away as Ian asked,"wait what curs-" the doors slammed shut behind me as I walked away.

Seto sat at his desk and stared at the pictures on his desk before gripping his head and quietly whimpering. Nneka rushed to his side and rubbed his shoulders as she tried to calm him with soothing words, but he held out a hand and pushed her away and out of the office. A few tears could be seen falling on the pictures in front of him. He then closed his eyes and, in a low voice, said an ancient chant, one that he had been avoiding all his life. It was time.
~
"With my life and soul I say,
With my last breath I make this choice,
I will your selfless deeds repay,
Even if I don't live to have a voice."
~
Then, in a soft whisper, he said, "Thank you. Thank you all."

Author's Note
BTW that poem thingy thing whatever you want to call it, is greatly inspired by Suzanne Collins' Gregor the Overlander Series, in which one of the characters say the original thing, which was the "Vow to the Dead."
Upon this crown my pledge I give,
To my last breath I make this choice,
I will your unjust deaths avenge,
All here who died without a voice.
One more thing, I was planning to make a second book but this is a crap ton shorter than I expected so I will just have to much them together. Yay! \(^u^)/~Nuke☢
