Chapter 41
Urata averted his gaze from the redhead and mentally cursed at himself for doing something embarrassing like that. Wait, doesn't that make me worse than the prick? Urata began to think that he maybe shouldn't have kissed the redhead. He glanced at Sakata and saw that the redhead was blushing madly. Urata found the redhead's blushing face to be cute. Sakata seemed to snap out of his dazed state as his voice became quiet and shy.
"Y-Y-You l-like m-m-me?"
"Oi idiot, what do you think that kiss meant?" Urata said as he looked away.
Sakata blushed and looked down at the ground. The moonlight shined, filling the area as the flowers swayed from the breeze. The only thing heard between the two were the leaves swaying from the wind. Urata had enough of the redhead's silence and sighed. He began to walk past the redhead with an expressionless face.
"I get it, you don't like me. Why don't you go back to Sorato and ask him for a kiss if you want that so badly."
Urata's voice showed hostility as he said the short raven-haired's name. He was glaring at the ground as his arms were crossed. Sakata widened his eyes as he stared at the green eyed brunette.
"I-I...."
The redhead couldn't find his voice, Urata knew he was being rude to the redhead but decided that it was better like that. The green eyed brunette had walked further ahead until felt himself get tackled from behind. He fell to the ground along with Sakata, he glared at the redhead.
"O-Oi—"
"I-I like Urata!"
The green eyed brunette widened his eyes as he stared at the redhead, who had buried his face into the short brunette's chest. Sakata was blushing madly, he felt shy letting the green eyed brunette see his red face.
Silence enveloped the two, Urata was blushing a bit but managed to cover it up as he pushed the redhead off him. Urata and Sakata both sat up, the green eyed brunette stared at the redhead that was looking at the ground.
"Idiot."
Sakata glanced up to look at the green eyed brunette, only to feel Urata's lips on his again. The redhead melted in the kiss as the green eyed brunette dominated it. After a while they parted, Sakata's face was completely red while Urata had some tints of red. They just stared at each other before the redhead hugged the green eyed brunette.
"So...." Sakata started out but let his voice trial out.
"You're not going to seriously ask if this means we're dating?"
"Sometimes people do things without realizing."
"Why did I fall in love with an idiot?"
Sakata giggled as he felt the warmth from the green eyed brunette. Urata returned the hug as they sat on the grass. Sakata then realized something and glanced up at the green eyed brunette.
"Um....what about Sorato?"
"What about that bastard?"
"He saw you as a human, but you weren't suppose to be on the trip."
Urata widened his eyes in realization. He kinda forgot that he wasn't suppose to go in his human during the trip.
"Oh right, well we can ask Soraru to just reset so he doesn't see me, but....."
Then you'd forget about the confession. Urata was hesitant until he heard the redhead.
"It's probably fine, if it's like you guys said then the reset shouldn't really change anything. Things happen differently because you guys did something different. My feelings wouldn't just suddenly change after one reset."
Urata stared at the redhead in disbelief. The redhead titled his head at the green eyes brunette's confused expression.
"When did you suddenly get smart?"
"Hey!"
"Www. But I probably should tell Soraru."
The two left the area and headed back to the camp site. Sakata decided to go back to his tent before Shima and Senra suddenly wake up and see that he was gone. Urata was back to being a ghost and entered the raven-haired's tent. He poked the sleeping Soraru.
"Oi. Soraru."
The raven-haired didn't wake up so Urata just kept poking him. Eventually Soraru got annoyed at the constant poking and finally opened his eyes. He saw that the green eyed brunette was floating above him with a smile.
"What is it?" Soraru groggily asked the short brunette.
"Reset time."
Soraru blinked a couple of times before sighing.
"What did you do?"
"Eh? What makes you think I did something?"
Soraru gave him an accusing look, the green eyed brunette pouted. He looked at the raven-haired's unamused face and sighed.
"I might've accidenta— Actually it wasn't an accident, I might've let that little piece of shit see me as a human."
Urata looked away as he spoke while Soraru sighed again. His drowsiness was disappearing as he stared at the green eyed brunette.
"Please tell you didn't do anything to him at least."
Urata was silent as he adverted his eyes, making the raven-haired give him an 'are you serious' look. Urata crossed his arms as he spoke.
"You said not to tell you, plus he deserved it."
Soraru sighed, and I probably know why you punched him. The raven-haired knew that at some point the green eyed brunette would snap at Sorato. It's related to Sakata. Soraru looked at the short brunette, who was still crossing his arms, before sighing for the millionth time.
"Fine, I'll do it."
"Eh? Really?"
"Just don't do anything like that again."
"No promises~"
Soraru's tattoo changed to white as he felt a slight headache, it wasn't as painful as usual so the raven-haired just laid back down. Urata was smiling at the raven-haired, he was glad to have a great friend like Soraru. The raven-haired closed his eyes as everything went black.
~☆~☆~☆~☆~☆~
The raven-haired groggily opened his eyes, he looked to see that Urata woke up. The green eyed brunette quickly left the tent to go to the redhead. Soraru just sighed, I just hope he doesn't do anything again. He closed his eyes as he quickly fell back to sleep.
Urata was at the meadow and saw the familiar scene. Sorato was inching closer to the unmoving redhead. The green eyed brunette quickly went to posses Sakata and pushed the short raven-haired away. Sorato stumbled a bit back and blinked his eyes in confusion.
"E-Eh?"
Urata left the redhead's body, Sakata snapped out of his daze and just stared at Sorato in confusion. The redhead then glanced at the green eyed brunette once he noticed that Urata was there.
"A-Ah, sorry Sakata." Sorato apologized as the redhead was still confused at what happened.
"Eh?"
"I see you probably already have someone else in your heart." The short raven-haired said.
Urata blinked as he saw what he thought was a glare towards him. But he realized that the short raven-haired was looking at the redhead, who was next to him, with a sad smile. Sakata just stood there as the short raven-haired walked back to his tent. The redhead turned to face the green eyed brunette.
"Oi idiot. How long are you going to stay silent?"
"Eh?"
Urata smiled at the redhead, he was wondering how he should confess again. The green eyed brunette pinched the redhead's cheek as he chuckled.
"You really are an idiot, but it's kinda cute."
"H-Hey!"
"Wwww that's what I love about you."
"E-Eh?" Sakata stuttered as he registered the green eyed brunette's words.
"Hm? You seem embarrassed~" Urata teased the redhead, who blushed.
"N-No..."
"Don't deny it~"
Sakata was playing with the hem of his shirt, he was shy at showing his face to the green eyed brunette.
"How boring~ you had a different reaction in the previous reset."
"So Soraru reseted time?"
"Eh? You remember?"
"Not really.... just that you said something about telling Soraru to reset."
"Ah~ so you don't remember this?"
Urata pecked the redhead's lip and smirked as Sakata became a blushing mess. The green eyed brunette chuckled, how cute~ The redhead then poked the green eyed brunette's tattoo, Urata was now standing on his feet. He was confused by the redhead's gesture until he felt Sakata hug him, the redhead buried his face in the short brunette's hair.
"I-I like you t-too..."
Even though the green eyed brunette already knew this, he still couldn't help but blush a bit. Urata turned back to a ghost, embarrassed at the sudden hug but it was mostly because he wanted to mess with the redhead. Sakata just felt cold air and, since he no longer had the green eyed brunette's body to support him, lost his balance. Urata giggled as he grabbed the redhead's arm to prevent him from falling.
"H-Hey don't do that so suddenly."
"Www not sorry~"
Sakata semi-glared at the green eyed brunette, who smiled innocently. Urata then grabbed the redhead and carried him by the arms so that Sakata was slightly floating above the ground. Urata just chuckled at the redhead's expression as he carried him. Sakata was at first surprised that the green eyed brunette was able to carry him, despite being shorter, but then it changed to slight fear.
"E-Eh?! Y-Yamete, p-put me down!"
"Www stop worrying. Not like I'm going to just let you go so you can fall."
"You're very capable of doing that!"
"You're not wrong~ but I'm not going to hurt someone I care about."
"......well that's true....."
Urata looked down at the redhead in his arms and grinned. Even though Urata was normally scared of heights, he isn't worried about it when he's a ghost because of his ability to float around.
He brought the the redhead back down after a while and just floated around Sakata. Sakata was annoyed at the teasing and poked Urata's tattoo, making the floating green eyed brunette fall. Urata sat up on the grass and glared at the redhead, who sheepishly smiled.
"Oi!"
"Sorry." Sakata apologized, though Urata could see a bit of mischief in the redhead's eyes.
"You're lucky I love you or else I would've punched you for doing that."
"And I'm lucky that you're shorter than me so you can't reach me." Sakata mumbled out loud before widening his eyes once he realized his mistake.
"Ha?"
Sakata felt his cheeks get pulled and whined in pain as Urata glared at him. The redhead cried out an apology to escape the green eyed brunette's wrath.
"I-I'm sowwy."
Urata smirked in satisfaction and let go of the redhead's cheeks, Sakata rubbed them before pouting. The two stayed in the area for a few more minutes until the green eyed brunette noticed that Sakata was beginning to get sleepy.
They went back to the campsite and this time Sakata was able to sleep peacefully. Urata played with the sleeping redhead's hair. The green eyed brunette smiled to himself. So I finally got the happiness I wanted.
•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
It was the last day of their trip, the guys had arrived back at the hotel. The ride back was the same as the ride going to the campsite. Though Sorato seemed to ignore them during the ride and went with his own friends. The others were confused on why he was avoiding them. Well, it mostly looked like he avoided Sakata, and Soraru, for some reason.
"Is he upset that we left him alone while we were camping?" Mafu asked in concern as he looked at Sorato, who was talking to his friends.
Sakata glanced at the short raven-haired, he felt like it was his fault for the male's slight upset mood. The redhead thought that he should probably apologize to Sorato for not returning the feelings.
"Don't feel bad for him." Urata said in annoyance as he glared at Sorato. The redhead looked at the green eyed brunette with hesitation.
"But..."
"Hey guys."
Sorato greeted them, Mafu and Amatsuki waved at the male. The short raven-haired glanced at Sakata before quickly adverting his eyes. Sakata looked away too, he felt awkward being around Sorato after what happened last night.
"Hey Shima, is it okay if we can switch rooms?" Sorato asked the purple-haired.
"Eh? Sure?" Shima said as he nodded his head in agreement, though his answer sounded more like a question.
"Thanks."
Sorato grinned at them and waved goodbye as he walked away. Shima and Sakata just looked at each other in confusion. Urata was also confused by the male's sudden suggestion but brushed it off.
"Did something happen between the two of you?" Amatsuki asked the redhead.
Sakata wasn't sure on what to tell them. He fiddled with his fingers as he looked at the ground, sometimes making a side glance towards Urata. Soraru looked at Urata, who was glaring at where Sorato was standing. The raven-haired then began to put the pieces together and understood what happened.
"So you finally confessed."
Urata blushed and turned his glare towards the raven-haired. Luz grinned as he smirked at the green eyed brunette.
"Ah~ so Urata is capable of caring for someone~"
"Luz."
"He just confessed to me... and I.......rejected him." Sakata said, though he wasn't sure if what happened last night was a proper rejection.
"Really? Oh..." Amatsuki said as he sheepishly smiled.
"But you two seemed to get along so well." Mafu stated before grinning at the redhead, which kinda scared Sakata.
"Could it be that you like someone else~"
"E-Eh?"
"Like maybe a certain person that isn't here~"
Soraru sighed as the albino continued to tease the redhead. Amatsuki and Luz joined in on the teasing while the others just chuckled at the embarrassed redhead. Urata decided to tease the redhead by kissing Sakata's forehead, making him blush even more. Urata stuck out his tongue while Sakata gave him a semi-glare. Sakata then smiled as he enjoyed spending time with the others.
Soraru smiled at the sight of his friends happily talking. He then felt an uneasy chill for some reason, which concerned the raven-haired. Guess we'll eventually go back to the usual.
