The bride-to-be was pacing up and down the room, her hair already tangled, her hands wildly gesturing as she tried not to hyperventilate.

"What if she objects? What if my Mum objects?" Nessa's voice grew higher and higher. "What if Hannah doesn't turn up."

Jo tried to comfort her. "It'll be fine, Nessa. You know Hannah wouldn't object."

"Yeah, she fell for you before you fell for her," Claire agreed. "As for your Mum, you can just run away and get married on some beautiful exotic island in the middle of the Pacific if she objects."

"Just tell us and we'll book the flights," Jo added. "But you might want to tell Abby to not bring the music though if you're gonna elope right now."

"Maybe I should elope right now," Nessa started to change out of her wedding dress, but Jo grabbed her hands.

"Look, it's your special day. What would BTS say if they saw you trying to run away from a wedding that hasn't even started yet?"

Nessa sniffed, her mascara running down her face. Jo tutted and immediately dabbed at her face with tissues and cotton buds.

"Jin would say: "My handsomeness is staining my life."

"She is my religion so I can call her she-sus." Jo said.

"After fighting my hormones all day, I'll pop my pimple." Claire added.

Nessa laughed and the bridesmaids touched up her make-up and shoved her into the church.

She met Abby's eye as she started to play the infamous Canon in D, which was playing against her will since she hated the song but with a fangirl's heart since she badly shipped Hanessa.

Nessa turned to face the church doorway, Jo and Claire at her side. The piano and violin music soothed her nerves as she took in the swathes of white and flowers over the walls and seats. Her father smiled proudly at her, tears sparkling. She met her mother's eyes and was relieved to see her grinning like a Cheshire cat, mouthing you look beautiful .

Then suddenly, the church doors opened.

The light shone as Hannah entered the room. She held a bouquet of roses and wore a simple white dress. Her eyes shone with happiness and love as she made her way down the aisle.

Nessa couldn't breathe. She could feel flowers blooming in her chest, heart emojis bursting out of her heart. She didn't hear the music stop or see anyone but Hannah, Hannah and her radiant smiles, Hannah and her cute blushes and cute gazes and cute everything.

And to think she was planning to run and cancel the wedding.

Staring into Hannah's eyes and watching her and her bridesmaid Isla take the place opposite her...everything felt right.

To hell with her parents, to hell with those haters.

They had each other and that was all that mattered.

"Do you, Nessa Hanessa, take Hannah to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do," Nessa almost forgot how to speak: her radiance was making her dizzy.

"Do you, Hannah Hanessa, take Nessa to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do." Hannah was grinning from ear to ear.

"Then I pronounce you wife and wife. You may kiss the-"

"WAITTTTT!"

The word echoed through the church. Everyone gasped as Abby stood up from the piano stool.

"Nessa, you can't marry Hannah."

Whispers around the church initiated and Nessa felt her stomach sinking, sinking, sinking as her worst fear came true.

"I also object, " Isla said.

"Me too," Jo added.

"Me three," Claire added.

"Yeah, Nessa, you said you wanted it to be really romantic and it is and all, but what about those long, mushy love confession speeches they make at the in the altar in movies?" Abby pouted. "You can't get married before them!"

"Hannah, you said you had it written out." Isla piped up. "I helped you edit it for hours and hours. Don't put it to waste!"

"Also, did you order that chocolate fountain?" Claire asked. "I really need some sugar right now."

"Get some coffee and get a good night's sleep then!" Abby told her.

"How is coffee a good substitute for sugar?" Jo mused.

"Suga is bae! EVERYONE STAN SUGA!" Isla yelled in full fangirl-mode.

"Guys, just let us get married already," Nessa was half-exasperate half-amused. "Claire, we have three chocolate fountains and yes, we'll make our mushy mushy speeches. Isla, just...turn down the fangirling a little bit. You're confusing all the veterans in the room."

Indeed all the veterans in the room were confused. In the back row, Isla's grandmother stuck up a hand in the air.

"Yes, Senior Isla?" The Priest asked.

"Who is this Suga?" The old lady adjusted her glasses, confused. "Are you cheating already? What about that boyfriend of yours?"

"You have a boyfriend?" The friends simultaneously turned to Isla, outraged she had managed to withheld the information from them.

"Just let them get married already. I'll tell you later." Isla mumbled, her cheeks looking like they had been stung by bees.

"Before I met you," Hannah started. Abby whipped out a tissue and began to blow her nose angrily by the piano. "I thought there was no way a beautiful, hilarious and cute hooman like yourself existed. You were an awesome friend and I admit, I was terrified of losing you by confessing, but when you told me how you really felt, I broke my bed springs by aggressively celebrating by jumping and squealing on them. My mum said she hasn't heard me scream as loud as that since I came out of the womb."

A few laughs rippled through the church hall, but Nessa only had eyes for Hannah.

"So yeah." Hannah said. "Sorry, I'm not really good with words, but there you go."

"Hannah, every day I wake up, I wonder if you've eaten breakfast yet or whether you're busy slamming your alarm clock to shut up. When it's maths class, I used to wonder what an equation for my love for you would look like. When I was in English class, my stories would turn into love stories with a girl called Hannah and another girl called Nessa. When it's night, I wonder if you're staring at the same stars as I am and I refresh WhatsApp constantly. Hannah, I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

"How did you manage to say that all so beautifully?" Hannah sniffed, trying not to cry.

"How are so beautiful, even when you cry?" Nessa wailed.

"I am?"

"You are, you silly hooman!"

The girls wailed and everyone cheered.

Several moments later, the rest of the vows were said and the rings were exchanged. Everyone sniffled from tears of happiness as they watched the happy couple ride off into the sunset, then went on to pester Isla, who had caught the bouquet, about this supposed boyfriend of hers.
