december twenty
The snow poured down hard and Erin stood by the Faith's gigantic window staring at it in awe.
"You've been staring at— no, gawking at the window for hours Rin," a voice said. She turned and found herself facing a smirking Bryan with his hands stuffed in his pockets, his shoulders strained upwards as if he was nervous.
She rolled her eyes, "Ha ha, funny but I do know for a fact that I've only been watching the snow for a few minutes."
He grinned that boyish grin that he hadn't showcased for years. At least not to her.
She couldn't help but notice how similar Bryan and Calista looked when they were smiling. Sure, they were twins but they were fraternal, hence they don't look alike. At all. Unless they're smiling.
The dimples they bore were exactly the same, with one on the left and two on the right. When their lips curved up into a smile, their cheeks sketch dimples that are identical, seemingly the only proof that they're twins.
"Shut up, Bry," Erin said with a giggle.
He pouted, feigning hurt, "But I didn't even say anything."
Now it was her turn to roll her eyes.
"So," he said and paced closer, sending unwanted butterflies fluttering in Erin's stomach, "Did you get anything from Mr. Secret Santa yet?"
"Yup," she replied, pulling out a box from her purse and trying to mask the whatever feeling she was feeling, "Wanna open it with me?"
A soft smile climbed its way to Bryan's mouth as he nodded yes.
She opened the gift revealing a gold necklace with a small heart pendant in the middle, "It's beautiful," she gasped, "How could he know me so well without knowing me at all."
"Christmas magic?" Bryan suggested, "Uh, here," he said, pulling her hair back, "I'll help you put it on."
As he helped her put the necklace on, she couldn't help but feel the tingles of electricity as his fingers slowly brushed against the nape of her neck wondering, wouldn't it be great if Bryan had been her secret Santa?
