Chapter 5
A/N: I've become too lazy to indent so... yeah. Anyway, enjoy!
Theo's P.O.V.
"Hey Pip, what'd you think of that?" I asked as we walked to our classes.
"I hate to say it, but that was one empowering speech Jefferson gave. But then again, she's so extra. And annoying. And obnoxious and sensitive. No offense," Philip said.
"Non-taken."
God, he's so adorable... the way his hair bounces behind him as he walks, the way his brown eyes melt like chocolate when he's happy, the miniature freckles splattered across his face and how they glow when he blushes. I was defiantly head-over-heels.
"Wanna take a picture, it'll last longer?" He smirks. I realize I've been staring.
I'm a walking human torch.
"So Theo, I was wondering, maybe after we get out of this hellhole, you and I could go watch Bird Box in Theaters?"
SWEET JESUS! H-HE'S ASKING ME OUT! Play it cool! Play it cool, Theo!
"Of course!"
Shit! Theodosia Burr, what the actual heck!?
I continue to stammer mindlessly, "No! I mean yes, I'd love to! Wait no, I'd like to, not that you're bad, Wait yes! Wait, what?"
Philip chuckles softly, "You're cute when you're flustered, ya know that?"
"Heh..." I have officially become a tomato.
"See ya later?"
"Yeah..."
He glides away to his class, leaving me lovestruck, smiling stupidly in the middle of the halls.
The things he can do to me...
Oof.
My heart flutters every time I think of him! I truly am in love! But who would blame me, he's practically perfect in every way! And to think the Philip Hamilton would ask me, Theodosia Burr, out! Oh, my Lord!
Just then, the bell rings.
"Well, fu-"
"Guess you're not the only late one, huh?" Y/n appears.
"Where'd you come from?"
"I came out of nowhere."
"Ok welp, let's be late together!" I laugh.
"I have a better idea! Let's skip!" She suggests. I grew nervous.
I've never really skipped. And if my father were to find out, I'd be a dead meat.
But hey, I want to celebrate, I deserve this! I'm going on a date with the best person I know!
"Okay! Where to?"
"Hm... ya know, I was thinking we could go to the Movie Theater?"
"Wow."
"What?"
"That's crazy!" I said.
"What's crazy? I mean I know I'm crazy, but that's too obvious to point out. So... what?"
"Philip just asked me that!"
"Hamilton asked you to go the theater?" She spat in disgust.
"Yeah... as a date..."
Her face paled. She seemed like she wanted to tell me something but was obviously holding back.
"Is something wrong?" We exit the hellhole.
"N-no... maybe I can come?"
This came as a surprise. I gasp, "Wow! Is the Y/n Jefferson asking to third wheel for Philip and me? That's a first."
"No. I can take John with me."
"A double date!? LET'S DO IT!"
Y/n's P.O.V.
I laugh. I like to mimic him, it gets on his nerves.
Do I regret this? Of course.
But am I mad I mad that I get to buy popcorn, a slushy, and get to hang out with the most innocent person I know? Nope.
But sweet God, I know Hamilton is going to do everything in his power to make sure I regret existing.
He will:
1. Ask me if I should order that much food.
2. Make fun of just anything on my face.
3. Trip me.
4. And of course, he will try to make the experience as bad as he can for John and me.
I hate him.
Words can't describe it.
My father waltzes into my room. He leans against the doorframe, "Where do you think you're going?" He asks with folded arms.
"Can I go watch a movie with Theo and John?" I ask pleadingly.
"Uh, no."
"Dad, I'll make macaroni and cheese for 3 weeks straight."
"Go on right ahead, love."
I quickly add some light makeup and grab my clothes. They consist of black, ripped jeans and an oversized ugly Christmas sweater that has "Merry Christmas You Filthy Animal" on it, a grey beanie, and white Vans.
I allowed my hair to cascade down my back.
I spray some perfume on, grab my phone and stuff it in my back pocket, and wait for John.
Philip's P.O.V.
I hadn't even bothered putting much effort into what I'm wearing. We're gonna be sitting in the dark anyway.
But I still get lustful stares from random girls.
Damn, I must be some kind of wizard.
I run a hand through my hair to push it away from my eyes. I spot Theo waiting anxiously outside the theater as she bit her lip.
I felt my heart flutter.
"Theo!" I call.
"Oh! Pip!"
"What's up? Something wrong?" I walk to her, wrapping my arm around her shoulder.
She blushed a deep red.
"Erm... well... I forgot to tell you that I set up a double date... I'm really sorry..." She said.
She's so precious and innocent.
I was so oblivious at the time.
"It's okay. Who?"
She looks ahead. I follow her gaze and it lands on two lovebirds, both holding hands and approaching us.
That's when my eyes adjust to the darkness.
And I see... Jefferson and Madison.
"Oh, hell no."
