Taehyung's P.O.V

It has been a restless night for Tae. Randomly pacing the house, checking that all of the guest rooms are fully furnished... quadruple checking the kitchen knowing all of his ex-bandmates are pigs. Finally, making sure that his box of things related to BTS and Jungkook is safely tucked away. Bogum doesn't even know of Tae's box. It's not that he's necessarily hiding it from him.. it's just that he doesn't want to explain why he's holding on to silly things. Before placing the box in it's hiding spot in the guest bedroom closet—Tae decides to open it up. Looking through various items: the key-chains from Bon Voyage trips. Polaroids of henna tattoos and good food. One of Seokjin's autographed "worldwide handsome" head shots. Little trinkets gifted from fans over the years...but it's the bracelet that catches his eye. The blue bracelet with two little tassels on the end.

Flashback: 7 years ago

"Happy Birthday, hyung!" Jungkook hands Tae a small white box

"Kookie, I told you I didn't want any presents." Pouting, trying to hide his excitement that Jungkook still got him a present anyway

"Well as your best friend, it's my duty to always make sure you have a present to open on your birthday. So open it!"

Without another word Tae opens the box to see a small blue bracelet, braided with two tassels on the end. Taehyung loves jewelry, all kinds. He especially loves how this one is so delicate, you can tell the person that braided it by hand took their time.

"Jungkook-ah! It's so cute, thank you!" flashing his notorious boxy smile at his bestfriend, it growing even wider when Jungkook proudly shows off the same bracelet on his own wrist.

"M-matching??" Tae says questionably

"Mhmm, that way even when we're on holiday or if you're somewhere I can't reach you and you need a hug. It's like I'm hugging your wrist!" Jungkook says happily, not even realizing that his kind gesture made tears trickle down the olders face

"I love it, best birthday present ever!"

END FLASHBACK

It really was the best birthday present I've ever gotten. Tae smiles and places the bracelet back in the box. When he hears Bogum moving around in the hallway. Quickly he decides to just shove the box under the bed.

"Tae? Where are you?"

"In here Bogumie! I'm just making sure all of the guest rooms are ready!"

"You're really excited huh?" Bogum smiles at his husband who looks so cute folded up on the floor in his cartoon pajamas "The sun isn't even up yet baby...why don't you get some rest, mm?"

Tae just shakes his head "I couldn't sleep if I tried. I'm so nervous...what do I even say? Hey sorry I up and left, causing us all to give up our careers and never talking to you guys for four years."

Bogum frowns at his husbands worried tone. "Tae, they aren't flying all the way here to scold you. Surely you know that. They miss you, that's all. You miss them too. Be excited!" leaning down to kiss his husbands disheveled golden blonde locks. "Bad news though, I won't be able to greet them with you. We have to fly to Seoul to do some shots at a famous park for the upcoming drama episode. I'm so sorry baby"

Taehyung really hoped his husband would be there to coach him through what is sure to be an eventful weekend—but he understands. Bogum is still a very successful actor and MC. "Don't be sorry, this is usual for us. At least this time I will have company, right?" Tae smiles softly at his husband before finally getting up and leaving the room.

Bogum just sat there for a minute. He was petrified. He didn't want to leave, in fact he begged his managers to postpone the filming just a few days but they couldn't. Tae, will you still be waiting for me when I get back? You will still love me, right? Wiping away the few unexpected tears from his face, Bogum stood up to go into the kitchen. Making sure to make two cups of coffee.

Jimin's P.O.V

(A/N: I couldn't find a way to do group chat in the picture format so forgive me for the inconsistency. The below conversation is a text chat between Bangtan. Not including Tae.)

ChimChim: GOOD MORNING BOYS. Flight takes off at noon, cars will round to pick you up at 10 sharp. Be ready and leave any harsh feelings in your house. We are visiting Tae with love.. he's welcoming us into his home so let's not make him uncomfortable okay?

Hobi: Srsly Jimin? You'd think you're the hyung with a tone like that. Of course we will only be showing Tae love.

Kookie: Coming from the guy that said "I don't know if I wanna punch him or hug him first" lollll

RapMon: I'm looking forward to this weekend. Do you know if Bogum is gonna be home Jimin? Haven't spoken to him in years either.

ChimChim: Hmm, not sure. Haven't talked to Tae since Wednesday night. I can find out.

Suga: Not a single one of you better be late. I don't have the patience to deal with any shitheads today.

WWHandsome: Grr, Grandpa is angry at 7 in the morning. I'll make sure Kook and I are ready so no worries here.

ChimChim: Anyone remember what Tae's favorite flower is? Wanna make sure I have some ready to be picked up on our way over. I don't wanna ask him.

Kookie: Red roses...

ChimChim: I knew I could count on you Kookie! See you guys soon.

"Yoongi.. Don't you think Kookie's been a little strange since we started talking about finding Tae? I thought he'd be the most excited and he almost seems scared."

Yoongi takes a second before responding. He knows what really went down between the two, Tae confided in him more than any of the others... of course, second only to Jungkook. However, he has managed to keep their secret for four years and he had no intention of blowing it up now.

"Yah! The little shit is probably just in the doghouse for taking a spontaneous trip when his wedding is less than half a year away." Yoongi scoffs

Jimin frowns.. Jimin was the only member in BTS that was active on social media whenever they were thriving. He knew about all the shipwars and honestly he thought it was hilarious. Fans would notice things in videos that the boys didn't even realize they did. He found himself especially surprised by just how many Taekook supporters there were. Seriously you would have thought they were royalty the way fans worshipped them online and some still do. Guiltily.. Jimin was always a secret Taekook supporter. Can you blame him though? The moments looked SO REAL. Jimin of course had the luxury of seeing some private moments as well. Everyone knew how inseparable Tae and Kook were. They were the pure embodiment of Yin and Yang, so forgive him if he's a little less than enthused about Kookie being engaged and Tae already being married.

"Oops, I guess I keep forgetting that Kookie is soon to be locked down for life." Jimin chuckles. Even if it's with the wrong person.

Jungkook's P.O.V

"Hey Jungkook, is Lisa gonna stop by before we leave?" Seokjin is standing in the doorway watching the younger finish packing.

"Uh, no she isn't hyung. She has a busy schedule today and the rest of the weekend" Jungkook just shrugs his shoulders

Seokjin raises an eyebrow "A little weird for your fiancé to not visit you before you leave the country don't you think?"

Jungkook let's out a loud sigh. He's really getting tired of Seokjin pestering him about Lisa... even if his thoughts are right. It's too late to change anything. "Hyung. Can you please give me a weekend where you don't try to talk me out of my pending marriage. I'm happy okay? Just drop it."

It's hard being the oldest of their group. Seokjin has witnessed a lot in the years since he met all of BTS. Especially the Maknae's. V, Jungkook and Jimin were the cutest trio. If you didn't know better you would have thought they were siblings, the way they bickered and laughed together.

FLASHBACK – 2014

"Yah! Taehyungiiieeee STOP IT!" Jungkook shouts at Tae who is continuously tickling him

"Oh come on Kookie, you've gotta loosen up! We can't film a MV if you're all uptight and nervous" Tae pouts

"Taetae is right Kookie. You gotta loosen up and the best way to do that is with laughter." Jimin smirks before joining Tae as they tackle Jungkook to the ground attacking the shy maknae with tickles and pinches and butt smacks.

"THAT'S IT!" Jungkook shouts.

At the sound Jimin immediately jumps up but Tae is still pestering the younger. Wanting to see how far he can push him. In one swift motion Jungkook lifts up Tae and throws him over his shoulder. Carrying him over to the couch in their dressing room and slamming him down...returning the favor of attacking tickles.

Tae and Jungkook were a laughing/shouting mess while Jimin and all of the other hyungs were barely breathing at the sight of a tiny Taehyung begging Jungkook to let him go.

END FLASHBACK

I haven't seen that smile or heard that laughter in four years Jungkook, I know you aren't happy. Deciding to drop it, as they're flight was in just a few hours he walks away leaving the maknae to finish packing on his own.

A sigh of relief comes over Jungkook whenever Jin finally leaves the room. He loves his hyung but man does he know how to push his buttons. I guess all roommates do that.

FLASHBACK- 2018

"DAMN IT TAE, IF YOU DON'T STOP WITH AEGYO. I'M NOT GONNA STOP MY GAME YET."

"Koookiieeeee, I logged off Overwatch three hours ago. How are you still playing? I want food but you know I suck at cooking."

"Then go have Jin-Hyung cook for you, he's a better cook than me!"

Tae just pouts sitting behind Jungkook's computer screen. No matter how hard he tried, Jungkook was such a damn sucker for those puppy eyes. With a loud huff, he took off his headset and slammed it on the desk.

"FINE but when I'm done cooking. You are either playing Overwatch with me or leaving me to play in peace."

Tae jumps up excitedly, giving Jungkook a giant Koala hug. "Thanks Chef Jungkookie!!"

END FLASHBACK

It was a different button, but damn you always did know how to push it. Jungkook catches himself smiling remembering the countless times Tae bugged him for monotonous tasks—or just to give him attention doing nothing. Taehyung was needy like that but Jungkook didn't mind. He wondered if Bogum gave Tae the attention he always begged the younger for? Or has Tae grown out of that?

Taehyung's P.O.V

After watching a movie, Bogum began getting ready to leave.

"Tae baby, do you need anything from me before I leave? I won't be home until Tuesday. How long are Bangtan staying?"

Tae shudders hearing Bogum refer to them as that.. "Um, I think just the weekend but I'll survive one day by myself, don't worry love." Tae smiles softly

Bogum takes him into a firm hug. Gripping the youngers waist tightly and taking in every last bit of his sweet fragrance. "I'm gonna miss you so much"

"Yah! What do you mean?! We do this all the time Bogumiee." Tae looks at his husband puzzled, wondering why he looks so hurt. "Is everything okay?"

Bogum just shakes his head and kisses his husband passionately. "I don't know why this goodbye just feels harder for some reason." Lie. Bogum knew why this goodbye was so hard. For some reason it felt like it was forever. He didn't understand why every part of him felt like he was letting go of the love of his life the moment he walked out the door but Tae reassured him by returning his kiss with another. Just as passionate and filled with love. "I'll be waiting for you on Tuesday, love. Come home to me, okay?" Tae's eyes turned to crescents as he smiled as wide as possible. He didn't understand his husbands worries but he just wanted to assure him that everything would be okay. Even if he didn't believe it himself.

"I love you so much, Taehyung."

"I love you too, Bogum."

With that the older walked away. Knowing very well that his house would be swarmed by 6 other people in a matter of hours. One of those people potentially having the ability to steal everything he cared about.

Jungkook's P.O.V – 4 hours later

"Ahhh, finally! Man it's been a long time since I've been to Japan!" Jimin shouts once they all are able to stand up and stretch.

"Same" spoke in unison by Yoongi, Hoseok and NamJin.

Meanwhile Jungkook is still staring out the window. Lost in thought as a song begins to play in his ears.

"Cause nothing could ever, ever replace you.

Nothing can make me feel like you do, yeah"

FLASHBACK- 2017

Jungkook was in his room, recording a cover of his favorite Justin Bieber song. "Nothing Like Us" unbeknownst to him, his roommate was peaking from the bathroom. Also recording.

As Jungkook began to sing the words, with so much soul. There was a certain hyung that kept popping in his head...he didn't know why. He didn't understand why singing this love song made him think of Taehyung but he didn't mind. He loved his hyung. So anything that reminded him of the older was okay.

Meanwhile Tae is in awe. I mean they all knew Jungkook was the golden maknae, with the voice of an angel but the way he sang this song made Tae feel bubbly inside. He even felt tears stream down his face. As soon as the maknae finished recording he put his phone in his pocket and jumped out of the bathroom.

"Kookie! That was amazing! You've gotta upload that! Holy cow, Justin Bieber couldn't even sing it that well!"

Jungkook began blushing, he didn't know Tae was in the room. "Yah! Hyung, how long were you in there?!"

Tae proudly busts out his phone showing his own recording. "The whole 3 minutes, Kookie! Now I get to hear your angelic voice whenever I want." Smiling as he walks out of the room. Leaving a very red faced Jungkook.

END FLASHBACK

"earth to Jungkook"

"HELLLOOOO"

"Kookie"

"SHITHEAD"

"JEON"

After all the hyung's made an attempt to snap him out of his gaze. Seokjin finally walked up and ripped the earbuds out of his ears.

"What the hell, hyung?!"

"We're here Kook. You were too busy in dreamland to notice. Get up and grab your carry on. We gotta debark the plane now, Pabo"

Jungkook gulped and took a deep breath. He really wasn't ready to see Tae again. Last he saw him he had crimson red hair. I guarantee he's dyed it 15 times since that picture was taken. Jungkook laughs to himself, remembering whenever Tae told him that keeping one hair color for longer than a month was only for old people.

Once they get off the plane Jimin makes them all huddle up for a group hug. "I'm sorry, I just have to get this out now so that I don't do it once we see Taetae."

Noone said a word, they just let Jimin silently cry. Them all releasing their own tears as well. For the first time in four years, BTS was going to be all in the same room again. Lord knows how much these members have missed each other.
