Jimin's P.O.V

After his spontaneous idea of a friendship trip, all of the boys separated into their groups and parted ways at the door. Jimin with Seokjin—Namjoon, Hobi and Yoongi—Taehyung and Jungkook. Jimin is smiling from ear to ear as he sees his plan unfolding.

"You care to explain?" Seokjin just stares at Jimin with furrowed eyebrows

"What do you mean, hyung?"

"Oh idk why you were the one so adamant about not letting Jungkook hog Tae yet here you are sending them off on a trip together... hm?"

"Hey! It was all random!" Jimin pouts

"Oh please, I watched you carefully place the tiles down and you made sure they picked first. So spill it now before I rat you out to Yoongi."

Jimin lets out an exasperated sigh. "I don't know honestly. I've always had this feeling that Kookie and Tae are meant to be together. So I guess I'm just playing with fate a little bit. I know nothing will come of it, they're both happy in their relationships. Even just for a day I want to enjoy seeing them together." Blushing at how corny he sounds

"Ahhh, so we really are all on the same page. Well, unfortunately none of that matters. Tae is married and Jungkook will be too in 5 months. We shouldn't be encouraging any ideas, especially if it messes with their feelings." Jin grabs Jimin's shoulder with a pained look on his face "we already lost Tae once, I don't want it to happen again.. we just got him back chim..."

In that moment Jimin felt his heart breaking. He knew that he was foolish for thinking he would play matchmaker and they would run off and be together forever. This is real life not a movie.

"You're right... I'm sorry.. well too late now, I guess let's just hope they have a good time. It's only a couple hours until we meet at the park right?"

They both just shrug their shoulders and head off on their adventure.

Jungkook's P.O.V

The two boys set off down the street, unsure where they were heading. Jungkook felt his heart thumping every time Tae's hand or shoulder lightly brushed against his as they walked. I knew it would be hard but FUCK.

Taehyung noticed the way Jungkook was practically holding his breath. "Jungkook-ah? You alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine, didn't sleep much ya know?"

They both blush furiously as they start to laugh. As they carried on the day felt so natural. Suddenly it was as if the four years that separated them evaporated, like they were transported straight from that day to now.

After hours of walking around, looking at shops and goofing off. They finally reached somewhere to sit for lunch.

"Kookie what are you thinking, noodle shop or Italian?"

FLASHBACK - 6 years ago

"Ramen"

"Pizza!"

"Ramen!"

"Pizza!! Tae we're in AMERICA, let's just eat something that isn't Asian okay?"

Tae just stands there pouting, quickly shifting to he best aegyo while batting his long lashes at Jungkook. Damn him for knowing exactly how to make the younger give in to anything he wanted.

"Fine, Ramen sounds good anyways!" Jungkook says while sticking his tongue out at the older.

"Yesss! Thank you Kookie!!" Tae says happily while jumping at the younger to embrace him in a warm hug

END FLASHBACK

I've always been a sucker for you, haven't I? Jungkook smiles to himself while remembering how cute Tae looked that day..completely oblivious to the older who is now pouting because he's being ignored.

"Jeon Jungkook if you don't come out of dreamland I'm gonna go eat by myself!!"

"Shit I'm sorry Tae!" Jungkook smiles, blushing whenever he sees the older staring at him with those damn puppy eyes "we can eat whatever you want!"

"Yes! Noodles it is!!" Tae shouts

"Gah! Do you EVER get tired of Ramen?!" Jungkook can barely contain his laughter realizing that not a single thing has changed about Taehyung in four years. Well other than his last name.

"I'm only gonna be alive for a short time Kookie, so I'm gonna spend that time only enjoying the things I love most! Today that's Ramen!" Tae says while his eyes form small crescents and is smiling so big.

Jungkook busted out his phone and snapped a picture, he wanted to remember this happiness forever.

Tae feels heat rising to his cheeks when he realizes what the younger did. "Yah! Why did you take a picture of me?!"

Jungkook laughs "I've always taken pictures of you Tae, why does it matter?"

Tae was about to speak whenever Jungkook's phone starts ringing. They both sigh whenever they see who's calling.

"Hey Lisa"

"Kookie!! Guess what!!"

"What's up?"

"I'm in Japan!"

Jungkook felt his heart stop for a moment..he just looked at Tae with a pained face.

"Oh really? What for?"

"Jennie's mom is remarrying this evening and her date bailed, so I'm a last minute fill in. The wedding is only an hour away from Kyoto. Think you could spare an hour for me this evening?"

His heart is breaking at the giggles and excitement in her voice while in his head he knows he doesn't want to miss out on a single minute with Tae and the rest of Bangtan.

"Mm that's exciting! I'm not sure, I don't know what the guys have planned for today. I'll text you later when I know, okay?"

"Alright, I love you Kookie! Have a good day!"

"Me too, Lisa!"

He hangs up and he and Tae just staring at each other before they just nod and walk into the restaurant.

TAEHYUNGS P.O.V

A few minutes of awkward silence roll by whenever Tae finally decides to break it.

"So how are things with Lisa? Excited for the wedding planning?" Tae is doing his best to show a genuine smile

Who am I kidding?

Jungkook just stares at the older in front of him. As bad as it sounds and as bad as it makes him feel...he wasn't going to spend his alone time with Tae talking about Lisa. "Can we talk about something else? I'm sorry, I just-"

Tae just shakes his head with a smile "I'm sorry, I just wanted to break the silence"

The two sat in the restaurant for three hours. Not even realizing that they were running late to meet back up with the guys. When they finally realized what time it was they just laughed and left.

Walking towards the park as the sky slowly began fading to a faint hue of red as the blue washed away. Tae felt something tugging on his heart. He tries to shake off the urging feeling in his body but with the resistance comes tears. He goes to pat his cheeks but before he can do so he feels those strong warm hands gently caressing his face. Gently pulling him over to the side of the sidewalk in between two shops.

Tae is just staring wide eyed at the handsome man in front of him, the one that he isn't allowed to love. "W-What—"

Jungkook cut him off, leaning their foreheads together. Using the pad of his thumb to lightly brush away the tears "Why are you crying again? It hurts me seeing you cry" Jungkook whispers, barely loud enough to be heard

"I-it hurts Kookie... this hurts" Tae whispers as well. Shivering whenever he feels jungkooks hands trace from his cheek down his sides to firmly wrap around his waist, pulling him closer until their bodies are practically touching.

"I know.. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have came last night. I should've stayed in my room when I heard you. I've only made things worse..." his breath hitches "I'm so sorry Tae, I can leave. If it will make you stop crying I'll leave. I'll go back to Korea tonight."

Tae immediately lifts his head locking eyes with Jungkook. Wanting to cry even more at the thought of the younger leaving. "N-no... i don't know when I'll get to see you again... s-so you can't leave yet" Tae tries hard to smile but it melts away the moment he feels Jungkooks soft lips pressed against his, again.

And again Taehyung finds himself somewhere he shouldn't be, with someone he shouldn't be with and absolutely loving it. He doesn't even try to resist, he just lets himself fall into this moment.

Jungkook pulls away and smiles shyly "God Tae... idk how I'm gonna live the rest of my life not being able to do this everyday" he says boldly. Getting lost in the ocean of brown that he loves to be in.

"K-Kookie dont... please don't" Tae can barely get out the words. It's taking what little willpower he has left to not jump into the youngers arms and ask to go with him. Anywhere and everywhere, forever. But he can't. "Don't make me love you more... I think I'll die if I love you more than I do right now"

Jungkook smiles and nods. "Let's go then" reluctantly letting go of the older's waist. Both of them feeling sad for the lost of contact.

They spent the rest of their walk to the park in comfortable silence. Not knowing that in those moments they both were day dreaming, wondering what their lives would be like if they weren't so scared.

Yoongi's P.O.V

"Where the hell are they?" Hoseok says worriedly.. "Tae is the one that said what time to be here. What if they're hurt!"

Yoongi takes a deep breath. He has a feeling that the two are hurting but not in the way that Hobi is thinking. "Let's wait ten more minutes, if they don't show up we'll go find them, yeah?"

They all agree. Talking amongst themselves, they're all relieved whenever they finally see Tae and Jungkook walking towards them smiling brightly. Though Yoongi notices the faint red ring around Tae's eyes.

"Well, guess the shitheads finally decided to bless us with their presence" Yoongi scoffs

All 7 members are together again. Enjoying their time as Tae proudly shows them around his favorite part of Kyoto. The main reason he moved here.

Yoongi would be enjoying this time too if he didn't notice the way a certain maknae stared in awe at everything Tae does. Just like when they were back then.

Starry eyed and hopelessly in love.
