Taehyung P.O.V

Taehyung would have thought that he had a wonderful dream the night before. The kind of dream that felt so real...that was until he woke up and felt a strong arm around his waist. He blinked his eyes a million times just to make sure he was seeing things right. Whenever he managed to roll over to the point where he saw the ravenette's face: all of the events from last night rushed back into his mind.

Immediately tears fell from his eyes but to be honest, he couldn't depict why he was crying. He didn't know if he was crying because of guilt or if he was crying because he knew this would never happen again. Either way he decided to steal one last kiss before rolling out of bed and forgetting last night ever happened.

Of course he wasn't expecting that kiss to be returned. His eyes opened wide and he wanted to push away but the hand that was once on his waist has made it's way to his nape. Caressing him so softly that he can feel himself melting into the kiss.

"Mmmm.. Mornin Beautiful" Jungkook grumbles as he backs away from the kiss.

"K-Kookie...we can't.. you can't..." Tae is blushing and crying at the same time. He loved that kiss. God knows he'd do it a million times over if he were single.

"I know Tae.. I'm sorry. I just couldn't help myself when you were so close to me. I promise, it won't happen again." Jungkook's facial expression sends daggers to Tae's heart. He knows this is hard on both of them. Like a light bulb went off both boys jumped out of the bed whenever they remembered they're hyungs are here.

"Fuck, I forgot about them.." Jungkook says nervously

Tae can't help but giggle "Me too.."

They both look at each other smiling fondly. "Well, I guess Im gonna go down to my room with Hobi-hyung. Thank you, Tae. For letting me feel what it's like to be loved by you." Jungkook whispers softly as he walks over to the blonde.. placing a soft butterfly kiss on his forehead.

Tae just closes his eyes.. knowing there's nothing he could say that would take the pain away from either of their hearts. As he watches his bedroom door close he drops to his knees and clutches his chest. Unable to stop the sobs that have started. In the faintest whisper he voices "I'm always going to love you Jeon Jungkook". Just as his sentence finishes he hears his phone ringing.. knowing well who is on the other line.

"Goodmorning love"

"Morning Taetae. I'm sorry for calling so early, I just couldn't wait to hear your voice. How was your night?"

Tae felt sick to his stomach as he kept replaying lastnight. The hugs, the kisses, the i-love-yous, the sex...God Tae wishes he could forget about the sex. He suddenly realizes he is lost in thought while Bogum is awaiting a response.

"Oh it's no problem, I'm happy to hear your voice Bogumie. My night was fine, I had a great time wiht the guys." he cringed at his own words

"Well, I'm about to start recording so I just wanted to hear from you. I love you, Tae."

"Me too, Bogum"

Tae hung up the phone and once again found himself sunk into the floor. Clutching his chest.

Jungkook's P.O.V

Luckily for Jungkook all of the hyungs were still sleeping. So he managed to crawl back into bed peacefully with no questions...at least not from his hyungs: Lisa on the other hand had many questions.

Jungkook felt sadness overwhelm his body at the sweet unread messages from Lisa.

FLASHBACK-A year after V left

"Jungkook!"

"Oh, hey Lisa! How's it going?!"

"Great now that I've bumped into you. Wanna grab some coffee?"

"Sure!"

The two walked to the local coffee shop and talked for hours. Jungkook had become good friends with Lisa and cared for her a lot. In a way she reminded him of Tae.. in that she was unbelievably kind and beautiful.

"So Kookie... are you seeing anyone?"

Flustered he doesn't know how to respond. He hasn't thought about anyone since Tae left that day. "U-Um no, I'm n-not... why do you ask?"

Lisa giggles "Because I was thinking that maybe you'd like to start seeing me?"

Jungkook's heart hurts because he doesn't feel for Lisa in that way but he doesn't want to hurt her feelings. He decides to go along with it...she's beautiful it won't be long before she finds someone else, right? "Sure, Lisa! I'd love to!" He offers her a big bunny smile

END FLASHBACK

You weren't supposed to end up with me. He sighs heavily as he chooses not to reply. He knows he's going to get an earful for ignoring her messages but honestly right now it's the last thing on his mind. He's currently trying to figure out how he is going to survive two more days with Tae without smothering him in kisses every chance he gets.

"Jungkook-ah! You're back!" Hobi leans up from his bed.

"Yah! what do you m-mean I'm back?"

"Well when I woke up earlier you weren't in bed. I figured you were outside talking to Lisa again" Hobi just shrugs his shoulders as he gets up to go into the bathroom.

Fuck, that was too close. Jungkook decides to get up and start getting ready for the day. Taehyung had planned to show them around his favorite park and then go to his favorite restaraunt. Jungkook was so excited to learn more about who Tae is now. It was all going to help him preserve the memory of last night, forever. He pulls out his phone remembering that he stole a souvenir from his night with Taehyung. Unable to contain his smile as he looks at the beautiful man, sleeping peacefully on his phone screen.

Jungkook whispers to himself "I never thought I'd get the chance to photograph you again..."

"KNOCK KNOCK SHIT HEAD, LETS GO COOK BREAKFAST BEFORE TAE WAKES UP"

Jungkook jumps at the loud yells coming from none other than Yoongi

"Yah! Hyung what the hell, let's just have Jin cook?"

Yoongi glared at Jungkook and the hue in his eyes told him that this had nothing to do with cooking. Fuck.

"Hey everyone, me and Kook are going to pick up stuff for breakfast. We'll be back soon." Yoongi yells while dragging a terrified Jungkook by the sleeve out of Tae's house.

They lock eyes and Jungkook is already teary eyed. Yoongi is the only one that knows their history, so it only makes sense that he would catch on.

"Kook.. are you going to tell me why I heard Tae moaning your name last night? Or am I supposed to believe he was jacking off to the thought of you?" Yoongi looked pissed as he scowled the words

"I-I.. You already know. So why are you doing this?" Jungkook just looks down defeated

"God, you kids never fucking grow up. What are you doing to yourselves?!" Yoongi takes Jungkook by surprise when he pulls the younger in for a hug.

"Hyung.."

"I didn't just hear moans, Jungkook. The walls are thin and I was in the hallway dealing with work stuff."

Jungkook can't hold back the tears as he remembers the words he and Tae shared. He didn't know which of those Yoongi heard but every single one held enough emotion to break Jungkook's heart over and over again.

"Hyung, I-I didnt mean to. I mean it wasn't my intentions.. b-but I heard him crying and he saw me in the hallway and he collapsed an I-I .."

Jungkook is cut off by Yoongi rubbing his back.. another thing Yoongi doesn't do

"Kook... you and Tae have been in love since you were teenagers. I'm not surprised even in the slightest. Am I disappointed? Yes. You horny fucks both have other people waiting for you. Are you even straight!? Bi?! What are you?!"

Puzzled by the question Jungkook knows the answer. He isn't any of those things. Jungkook is a firm believer in destiny. He always has been. He's always thought that everything in his life was already planned out...it was just up to him to put the pieces together properly. He failed though.. the most important piece. The one that fit right in the center of the puzzle that is Jungkook's life, he threw away 4 years ago.

"I don't know if I'm ever going to love someone that way I love Tae. Hyung. I know I'm selfish for allowing myself to marry Lisa but what other choice do I have? Break her heart? and for what purpose? It's not as if I'm going to run off into the sunset with someone else. So why make her hurt just as much as I am... if I can at least make her happy then I won't feel so guilty."

"You're an idiot. Did you say that to Tae? Did you tell him those feelings?"

"NO! How could I? I can't possibly put him in that position. He's married and has been for two years. Him and Bogum have a nice life together here. I can't possibly ruin that for them." Jungkook feels as if 1,000 knives are going through his heart whenever they finally reach the convenience store.

After walking around and picking up some things. Jungkook made sure to grab extra strawberries to top the pancakes with--he still remembers Tae's favorites. They are on their way back home.. to Tae's home.

"Listen. I can't tell you what to do, kid. All I can tell you is last night I heard two hearts breaking. You both feel the same way. I know it's complicated but fuck...what's the point of life if we spend it faking the whole way through? You always used to say you believe in destiny right? Well your destiny is lying in a bed right now and if you don't claim it.. you're gonna lose any chance you had at fulfilling it." Yoongi states sternly and carries on. Walking a little bit ahead of the younger. Hoping that his words sunk the way he wanted them too.

I can't. I promised Tae I wouldn't. It was one night, that was all we were allowing ourselves. One night to pretend we were allowed to be in love.

Taehyung's P.O.V

"Taetae! wake up!" Jimin whispers sweetly into Tae's ear as he ruffles the youngers hair.

"Mmmm Jiminieeeee, let me sleep in a little longer!"

"Nope! Time to get ready, Kookie and Yoongi are on their way back with breakfast so hop in the shower. We aren't wasting a single day of our reunion trip." Jimin says excitedly before leaving Tae's room.

As the water hit the floor in the shower Tae was trying so hard to erase everything. Every time he closed his eyes, he felt chills over his body. As he replayed every second of what happened last night. From the first hug he shared with Jungkook in four years to their first time being intimate in their lives.

He is thankful that Jungkook walked away this morning. Taehyung knows well that if the younger would have asked him, he was prepared to throw away everything. Anything to be able to be held by those strong arms again and again. He wipes the tears from his face with his towel as he dries off. It really was just like a dream, one that I'll never wake up from.

Third Person P.O.V

The seven boys all sat in Taehyung's living room, stuffing their faces and sharing more embarrassing stories. All of their stomachs hurt from all of the laughter combined with the filling breakfast they were enjoying.

"So I had a crazy idea" Jimin speaks up with a devilish grin

"Oh god"

"Nope, whatever it is nope"

"Hey hear me out! So being here together, rooming together away from home. It just gives me so many Bon Voyage feels!" everyone laughs at Jimin's statement "So I was thinking...let's play a game and split up into teams of 2, 2, and 3! Then we can go on a friendship adventure day before we go to the park and dinner with Taetae!"

Everyone was all in for the idea. Everyone except Tae and Jungkook. They both just sat there while Jimin prepared the game. Both of them praying internally that they don't get paired up.

"Okay, so there's 7 cards upside down. Each one has a symbol. The symbols are divided into teams of 2, 2, and 3! So whoever shares your symbol is your partner!" Jimin smirks, he has observed his ex band mates for many years. He know that Jungkook ALWAYS picks the card closest to him and Taehyung always picks the card furthest to the left. "Okay, Kookie and Tae, since you're our maknaes you guys pick first!"

And just as Jimin planned.. Taehyung picks the card furthest to the left and Jungkook picked the card closest to him. They both do everything they can to maintain a pokerface when they flip their cards around to see the same image on both.

Tae: Fuck

Jungkook: Damn it

The rest of the members draw their cards and they all finish up breakfast. Packed up and ready to explore.

Taehyung stops in his tracks

Flashback- 8 years ago, Malta

"Tae, we've gotta come back here one day. Without all of the cameras!"

"Mmm, why do you say that?" Tae grumbles he was napping peacefully in the warm sand.

"It's so beautiful and there's so much that we didn't get to see!"

"You can come back whenever you want Kookie! You have money and a passport."

"You're right, all I need left is my travel partner!" Jungkook smiles at his best friend.

"I'm your travel partner? We always travel with the hyungs Kookie." Tae is flustered

"I know but you're the one that makes it fun. I wanna explore the entire world together." Jungkook says quietly while admiring the sun.

Tae is smiling like an idiot. He knows his best friend is innocent but he doesn't help his case at all.

"Okay then, it's a promise. We're going to explore the world together! One day when we retire from being idols." flashing a giant boxy grin in the direction of the boy that Tae knew he would follow anywhere.

END FLASHBACK

Destiny has a funny way of doing things huh? Tae chuckles to himself as he looks up to see Jungkook smiling at the door. Waiting for him to follow.
