This reminds me of what happened the previous day.

Flashback

We have finish all the chores and it was home time but Feitan ask me to stay a bit longer, which I did.

"Come with me." He took my hand and lead me out the gazebo and we both laid down the grass, just outside the gazebo.

This is our usual hang-out place when we're not doing anything fun. It's just the place where we talk about life or nonsense things.

"Y/n?"

"Hmmm?"

"Do you like m- being here?" I was pretty sure that he was about to say 'mih' but I guess I misheard it again.

"Of course I do." Especially when I'm with you.

"Will make mih promise?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Promise mih that mih always have to be the one helping you chores."

"Of course, I promise! I won't ask anyone else to help me except for you!"

"Good."

I look at the side to see his face and he turned his face towards me. It kills me inside to not tell him my real feelings but I was scared that he might not return it.

Feitan, I'm really sorry but I'm gonna have to do this. I love you so much!

Feitan's POV

"Like what I told you, I don't need your help anymore. I already know what to do around the house so... I won't be needing your help anymore." She said and I felt my chest tightens.

"I-I don't understand, w-why?" I don't feel angry but I feel scared.

Scared to lose her, scared not to be with her ever again and scared that... the day would come where she doesn't need any of my help anymore.

"Can't you understand a thing that I tell you?! I said I don't need you anymore so... get lost!" Her words felt like a knife stabbing my heart.

Why? I don't understand! Why is she being like this? Have I done something wrong? In the past three days, everything was fine! Everything was perfect but now, why is she being like this?

I then remembered that before she came here, she had a conversation with Chrollo.

He must have said something to her to make her act like this.

"D-don't you love me? Mih heard you and Paku talking that you love me." I said and she furrow her eyebrows, but then narrow them.

"That was just a joke. We already know that you'll be here in the library so... we made you think that I love you but I don't. I never loved you Feitan! In fact, I was using you to find directions around the house and that's all! And now that I known my way, I don't need you anymore."

"B-but..." my memories with her flash in my mind.

Even though we're only spending short time with each other, it was still a memory that you could remember as a long term memory.

"Feitan, if you don't get this straight then just put it in your mind. I'm only working here because I need money and I want money. That's all I'm here for, the money. You know what? It's perfect for me to be here because you're all rich and here I am, working here which made me fortunate because I earn big money. That's all I care for, the money."

"No, that's not true! The money is not what you care for!"

"Then what? What do I care for? Think about it Feitan, why am I working here? It's because you're all rich people and I'm just using all of you so I can have the money. That's all I'm here for."

"I don't believe you!"

"Believe me or not, it's the truth." She said then walk away, leaving me standing there with tears falling down my face.

I'm crying? It's been a long time since I last cried.

Reader's POV

I walk away as soon as possible because I felt myself crying. I hid in the corner and leaned against the wall as the tears fall down to my face.

Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! I'm sorry Feitan, I'm so sorry! He made me do it, he wanted me to do it! I have no choice! I'm really really sorry! Please forgive me! I love you!

I heard Feitan finally leaving and I was just there, crying.

If it weren't for my brother, I wouldn't have done that!

"Great job~" the least person that I wanted to see appeared out of nowhere.

I look upto him and glared at him.

"Leave me alone." I said while standing up and wiping my tears away.

"Well, I couldn't help myself. Now that you don't have a saviour any more, I could have you all to myself~ but I won't do it yet since I'm just getting started on tearing the both of you apart ehehe~" he laugh and I stared at him.

"W-what do you mean?" I ask.

"I plan it all along. You see, I don't want you being near him because I want to claim you all to myself and by doing that, it has to go to bribery~"

"What did you do?"

"Just things that will keep you away from him for now~ in the meantime, I will wait for you and if I see you being near him or talking to him at all..." he lock his eyes to my one. "Then your brother will die. Tata~"
