Chapter Three
Chad did not have a good vibe. He visited Melanie at the time of lunch, and waited in the parking lot until the end of classes to get her home. "I got out of school earlier," he always said.
People don't get out of school earlier, every single day.
For Cody, it was a torture, having to see Melanie be all romantic with Chad when they sat together at lunch, and seeing them walk hand in hand at the end of school.
He had suffered enough already, but on Friday, when he did not feel good, both, in a health and emotional way, he decided to leave school earlier. When he was walking through the park, taking the long way to his house, he saw something that would end his emotional suffering, but start one on someone else.
He was having doubts in taking a picture of what apparently was Chad walking, hand in hand with a girl, kissing from a time to another. She had wavy, short, brown hair, she was pretty, but what was Chad doing with her when he had a beautiful girlfriend?
After debating for some seconds, he finally got his phone out and took a quick picture of the couple. He then, pulled his hoodie up and continued walking to his house.
He threw his backpack on his bed and sat down on his desk chair. He got out his phone and layed it beside his laptop. Turning on his computer, he looked for his phone cable, and once he found it, he connected his phone to his laptop.
Opening his pictures folder, he clicked on the recent taken picture and made two copies.
He then closed his laptop and layed on his bed, kicking his backpack to the floor.
He had never felt so conflicted. He was suffering with his broken heart, and he had a picture that could glue it back together or shatter it more.
He was happy it was Friday, though. He could talk with his friends, sleep late, draw, make music, write, simply live his life. He decided to leave all his problems beside and enjoy his Friday, and he was about to start enjoying it, until he heard his phone go off, indicating a notification.
It was a Facebook friend request, from a girl named Kristen Parson, he saw her profile picture, recognizing her as the girl who was with Chad. Also, he remembered she was in his Chemistry class, and she wasn't there that morning. He accepted her friend request and sat on his bed, crisscrossing his legs.
He decided he should tell the truth, and made a plan on how he would tell two angelic girls, that their boyfriend was cheating on them.
It was probably not ending good.
