Recap: Let another day of lies, begin.

Story:

After about an hour of waiting, Kakashi arrived. "Your late!" Sakura and Naruto yelled in unison.

"Sorry, I got lost on the path of li-"

"Don't lie!" Sakura yelled, interrupting the jounin.

"Anyways, guys, we got a mission today so let's head to the hokage office." Kakashi said, expecting Naruto to start running towards the hokage office, but that didn't happen. Instead, Naruto just stood there with a blank look in his eyes. He was having a conversation with Kurama and lost touch with reality.

Kura, can't I just let it down for a second and shunshin to the hokage office instead of looking like an idiot?
No, if they see you use experienced ninja skills, they'll assume you to be a threat.
But I am a threat, aren't I?
No kit, I'm the threat, your just a kid.
But I kill people too.
I know, but I've killed more.
Are you sure about that?

With that, Naruto was pulled out of his chat, to find Kakashi giving him an inquisitive look while Sakura was pulling on Sasuke's arm, who held a look of irritation. Whoops, I forgot about reality.

With that, they left to the hokage's office. Naruto acted like nothing happened and used his grin to fool them. Kakashi was contemplating has he been taken over by the demon? Is he just playing with us? And Sasuke was thinking what was that look in his eyes? Why was it so hot? No, it wasn't. It must've been my imagination. Naruto is the same hyperactive knucklehead i've always known. Too bad though, he'd be pretty hot with a more emotional attitude rather than his happy dance. With this, Sakura was thinking, why is he looking at naruto-baka?! He should be looking at me! Me me me! Cha! I'm gonna kill Naruto! Let me at him! Sakura was basically just being her normal self, Sasuke was being his gay self and Kakashi was being his hyper aware self. By the time they completed their thoughts, they were at the hokage office.

"Hokage-sama." Kakashi stated as he knocked, to allow the hokage to know of their presence.

"Yes, yes. Come in Hatake." Sarutobi said as he motioned towards the door as if someone were watching.

"What is team seven's mission this time Hokage-sama? Fetching the fire daimyo's cat Tora again?" Kakashi questioned.

"No, no. I'm sending you all on a C rank escort mission." Sarutobi stayed, making the jounin gasp in shock at the hokage's judgement.

"Yes! A C rank mission!" Yelled Naruto, trying to stay in character.

"Okay, okay. You guys go pack for a two week trip. I need to speak with the hokage. Meet at the front gate in 2 hours." Kakashi finished stating this, and the genin left. Or so he thought. In reality, Sasuke and Sakura left, but Naruto stuck around in the shadows to listen in on what Hatake had to say.

"Hokage-sama, I fear Naruto may have been possessed by the Kyuubi. I saw a blank look on his face earlier. As if he weren't really there. He's also been showing up late every day." Kakashi finished, looking at the floor.

"Hatake, I believe you should see this." Sarutobi then pulled out his orb and placed his hands on it. He then rewound it to a few mornings ago. Letting it play out. "You see, he's beaten by the villagers almost daily. I'm surprised is hasn't gotten to him sooner. We should place some anbu on him when he gets back from your mission." Sarutobi then shooed the jounin away and sat in his office, staring into space as he thought, Naruto, why have you never told me? And what do they do that I can't see?

Naruto, on the other hand, left as soon as the hokage finished speaking to Kakashi and headed home to pack. He shunshined so as not to have to deal with the villagers, but when he arrived home, his home had the same four men as the night before.

He was terrified. Danzo was with them. Which scared him even more after what happened the night before. "Hey Naruto~ we're here to send you off on your journey today. So you have two hours to be there? We'll finish up in time. I don't know what Danzo-sama wants to do with you today though. When we arrived, he was already here. Now, let's get star-" with this, the Raven haired man was cut off.

"Demon, how did you arrive from the hokage office so quickly and why did I sense chakra in use before you arrived?"

"I-i don't know. I-its pr-probably the guards the hokage is putting outside my window." With this, Naruto cast a quick genjutsu to trick them into thinking anbu were outside his window. He then ran out of his apartment so as to escape the men. Naruto held most of the items he needed, all he needed to do was unseal what was in his bed.

But to do this, he'd have to go back, so Naruto decided to sit in wait and watch as they all left. He then went in, grabbed his supplies, and left. He decided not to shunshin because Danzo would be trying to sense a shift in his chakra. But this was a mistake. When he was near the gates, he was pulled into a dark alley by the same men who were at his house just recently.

To keep his supplies save, Naruto sealed it in his arm and awaited the torment he knew was to come. He still had an hour and a half till he had to meet his team.

"We don't have enough time to rape you anymore, so instead, we'll just beat you." With those words, they began kicking and punching Naruto. Not caring if anyone saw them do it.

Naruto cried and tried not to scream, knowing it would give these men what they wanted. But his attempts were in vein, for they began to step on his toeless feet and stabbing them. As soon as he screamed, he regretted it because those who heard, came over and started helping.

Naruto, after some time, stopped saying anything and allowed it all to happen.

XXX Time skip XXX

After an hour and 15 minutes passed, people started leaving. Those that left, left ridiculing him in his pathetic state.

He was content just laying there, until he remember the mission. He then tried to stand up. He no longer could. He looked around for something to help him stand, but he couldn't find anything, so he just layed there.

Meanwhile, Sasuke was heading to the front gate of Konoha, so he could be a little early. As he walked, he heard whimpering down an alleyway.

Thinking it was some animal the kids decided to beat up, he walked over. He wanted to help the poor thing. As he got closer, he saw a patch of sunshine. Well, it looked like one, but when he got even closer, he saw that it was a blonde head of hair.

He knew very few people with blonde hair, and even less with hair as spikey as this. "N-naruto?" Was all he could mutter as he looked at his blonde crush.

He then tried picking him up but faltered and fell. He knew he'd need help with this, but he didn't know who did it to him, so he decided to instead, wait for their teammate and ask for her help. Knowing he had blood on himself now, he stayed in the alley, watching for Sakura. (A/n: I hate the bitch as much as the rest of you, but I needed at least a few people to be kind to Naruto, and if Kakashi saw him like this in this fan fic, I would have had to make him smile at his pain or something. I decided to make Kakashi a horrible person for this one.)

After a few more minutes, he saw a short head of pink walking towards the gate. He started whispering, "Sakura! Hey Sakura! Get over here!"

Of course, as soon as she heard Sasuke's voice, she headed into the alley, but when she got to the back of it, she saw something she'd never unsee. "S-Sasuke-kun i-is that n-naruto?!" She was terrified. The blonde was matted in blood, had his eyes closed, and was trembling. "W-we need to get him to the hospital!"

"I agree, I just couldn't carry him on my own. I never thought he'd be so heavy tho-" Sasuke was then cut off by a small squeak of a voice.

"T-those are t-the w-weights." Sasuke was shocked to hear his friend speak while in such a state. He then tried again to stand up. Slowly, he got to his feet, which were bleeding worse than the rest of him.

After standing, he pulled off his weights. He then placed them on the ground gently, so as to keep the ground in the same shape it's always been.

Sasuke stared in awe. How can he even stand like that? And he's been wearing weights? Since when? He felt like he had a normal human weight when I tried lifting him. If that's because of the weights, then how much does he actually weigh?! Sasuke was scared to find out the answer to his question.

Suddenly, the blonde began to fall, so of course Sasuke caught him and lifted him up. He's lighter than a feather! How is he not flying away in the wind?! Is that why he wears weights? Sasuke then put him on his back and carried him out of the alley with Sakura in tow. "Sakura, go get Kakashi-sensei and tell him what happened. Then tell the hokage. We won't be able to go on the mission until Naruto is healed." Sasuke was trying to use his normal stoic and emotionless tone, but could barely find it.

They parted ways, Sasuke heading to the hospital with the blonde and Sakura heading to notify her trusted teacher and he worshipped leader. Naruto had passed out not long ago. To fasten his healing. Unbeknownst to the two genin, their adult counterparts wouldn't be so helpful to the blonde.

When Sasuke arrived at the hospital, he ran to the front counter and said, "Naruto needs help! Get him a room quickly please! I feel his life slipping away!" But as he shouted, he just got a scowl from the nurse.

"Don't bring that demon in here. Bring him home. He doesn't belong in a place of healing. He's just a monster." With this, Sasuke was about ready to punch someone.

But suddenly, Naruto stirred on his back, "Bring me home Sasuke. They won't ever help me so why should they start today?" Sasuke was again shocked by the blonde and how nonchalant he was about the whole situation.

When did he get like this? Sasuke then carried the boy out of the hospital and to said apartment. Upon arrival, he saw how trashed the place was and assumed Naruto hadn't cleaned it in awhile. He then placed the boy on the bed and pulled a chair from the kitchen into his room.

What he didn't expect to see was a white goo like thing coating said bed. Naruto seemed to shiver while laying in it and slowly stood up again. "No, Naruto, you need to rest. I have some questions for when you're better."

Naruto then looked straight into the Raven's eyes and said, "I need to clean up because they'll be here again tonight. If I look the same as earlier, they'll do more than they usually plan. I'm going to take a bath to wash it all off. If you would, could you please wash my sheets while I'm in there? The laundry room is in the basement."

Sasuke was dumbfounded. But he did as asked and headed to the basement with the gooey sheets. What have you been through, Naruto.

Meanwhile, Sakura had told Kakashi what happened and was on her way to the hokage. Alone because Kakashi didn't seem to care.

When she arrived, she knocked and said, "Hokage-sama, something happened to Naruto!"

Sarutobi then said, "Come in and explain"

She started, "I was on my way to meet up with the team when I saw Sasuke at the edge of an alley, calling for me. I followed him into the alley and at the very back, Naruto was laying on the ground, completely covered in blood and barely breathing. Sasuke then carried him to the hospital. He should be in the hospital now."

Sarutobi didn't seem surprised. He then said, "Well let's see exactly what happened." He then pulled out his orb again, placed his hands on it and grabbed Sakura's hands to do the same. He then showed her everything that happened to Naruto in that alley. She wanted to look away but she couldn't because Sarutobi had her hand. He then showed what happened after Sakura separated from Sasuke and saw how they refused Naruto's treatment in the hospital, making her get pissed off. Finally, they finished by watching Sasuke take Naruto's sheets to the laundry room. But, looking back at Naruto, they saw him undress and prepare for a bath.

He was covered in blood, but you could see his bones clearly. He then reached for his feet and began to pull off his bandages. What they saw made them both step back and cover their mouths. "Wh-what happened to Naruto's toes, Hokage-sama?!"

"I-it must've been those men. He seemed afraid of them, like they'd done worse things to him than just beatings. Now I see why. Anbu!" Suddenly, a woman in a dog mask popped in. "Go find these four men and sent them to Ibiki. And search their homes for a child's toes. Help Ibiki out if you want." The anbu then left to fetch said men. "Sakura, go to Naruto's apartment and send Sasuke to me. He needs to see what happened to Naruto."

Sakura then left and went to Naruto's apartment, wondering what she could do to help her blonde teammate.

XXX Time skip XXX

After telling Sasuke, Sakura finished Naruto's laundry and headed up to Naruto's apartment. When she got in, she was horrified by the shabby thing. She had only seen the bathroom in the orb, but seeing the whole thing, was like walking into a trash can. She then walked over to the bathroom door and said, "Naruto, I'm staying here in Sasuke's place as he talks to the Hokage. Your sheets are finished. Can I ask what's taking you so long?" She tried to say it all in a gentle voice.

"Sakura, uh, thanks. Could you put those sheets on my bed. And, I don't need anyone watching over me. I'm fine." Go ahead kit. Lying through your teeth is definitely a skill you picked up fast.
Yeah, I know. But it's still not something I enjoy. Will I be healed enough for another hunt tonight?
No kit, you still don't have any toes. How would you be able to hunt correctly in that condition?
I'd find a way. Did I accidentally slip on the mask of an invalid when Sasuke found me? I could have just walked out of there, walked home, cleaned up, and went on the mission a little late.
I'm sure you could, but it's not good for your health.
Who said I care about that?
You should.
Yeah, whatever. I think it's about time I get out. I'll turn into a prune if I wait any longer.
With that, Naruto exited the bath and got dressed. He looked into the mirror at his dead eyes, and watched as he put his mask back on and smiled. Only a little longer. Then I can leave. He then exited the bathroom and said, "Hey Sakura-chan, how 'bout we go on that mission we were supposed to?"

Sakura looked at him like he was insane, then noticed how normal he looked. Nothing on his body looked even remotely damaged. She knew something was up so she walked up to him and pulled his shirt up a bit to see if she could find the damage.

Instead, she found scars. "Sakura, they're gone. I heal fast. Now let's go." He then grabbed his fake carry on, and walked out. She stared behind him in awe, then followed. What even is he? And how many times has he gone through something like that to be able to bounce back so quickly? Then she remembered how everyone called him a demon. Is he even human?

As if on cue, Naruto whispered, "I don't know about that either." Then started walking faster.

That was a lotta fun to type. Lol. I like how long I'm making each chapter of this. I'll keep it going. Well, vote, comment, and share please. See yah next time.
