BRYCE RAN DOWN THE STAIRS, THE OLDER BROTHER OF ELIZA FEELING LIKE A SMALL CHILD AGAIN WITH THE EXCITEMENT OF CHRISTMAS FLOODING THROUGH HIM. The hall and Hossler mums were currently sitting in the kitchen, cups of tea in their hands, as they awaited for the rest of the family to wake up. John too was in the kitchen, him checking the oven, him insisting that he wanted to help Lisa with the Christmas cooking, the Hall mother not denying she may need the help.

Jaden's sisters Haley and Sophie, alongside Sophie's husband Clayton, was still in their respected rooms, however not asleep as they had came down the stairs around half and hour before to grab themselves cups of tea or coffee.

"Bryce?" Lisa whisper-shouted as she heard footsteps at the bottom of the stairs, Bryce's figure becoming evident through the arch. Upon hearing his name, Bryce dipped his head into the kitchen, giving the three adults that were in the kitchen a wave, Lisa responding with a smile.

"Yeah mum what's up?"

"I'm allowing you this one time to wake up your sister."

"What?!" Bryce exclaimed, Amy and Lisa shushing him, John sighing as he walked over to Bryce flicking him in the head.

"your annoying voice just woke them up i bet." John teased, Bryce copying John's actions, returning the flick to the forehead.

"oh yeah real unique there John." The Hossler dad just rolled his eyes once again at the boy he played a father figure to, before taking a seat next to Amy, taking a sip of his coffee.

"anyway Bryce, go wake her up please."

"Why? What's the time?" Bryce asked, grabbing his phone out of his short pocket, looking down at the time to see it was half ten, to which answered Bryce's question as to why Lisa looked like she was bored, let alone growing inpatient as she was eager to give her presents to each and every one of the members inside the home.

"oh this is going to be fun." Bryce stated, Lisa and Amy looking at one another as Bryce skipped out of the room, a smirk appearing on his face as he made his way across the hall.

"why do i instantly regret my decision?"

"BRYCE FOR FUCK SAKE I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!"

upon hearing the sounds of Bryce squealing, and two pairs of heavy footsteps running out of the living room, Lisa sighed as she held her head in her hand, regretting giving her oldest the opportunity to wake up his younger sister.

Amy was about to make a comment about Bryce's squeals when Jaden wandered into the room, the boy looking half asleep as he rubbed his eyes.

"sorry Jaden." Lisa stated, Jaden shaking his head to say that it was okay, John beating Lisa to making the boy a cup of tea. "How did he wake you up then?"

"well Bryce decided jumping on Eliza, who was sleeping on me may i add, and that didn't wake her up. So he pulled her off me, and well now you know how that panned out." Lisa shook her head as a faint laugh escaped her lips, her mind definitely deciding that she regretted giving Bryce the power to wake up his sister.

"i'm sorry jaden."

"don't be silly Lisa, honestly i don't mind, it is christmas after all- thanks dad." jaden spoke as he was handed a freshly brewed cup of tea by his dad, the teenager taking one of the remaining stools that were situated around the kitchen island.

as on cue, the rest of the hossler family came downstairs, all of them standing around the kitchen, the two families wishing one another a merry christmas, before engrossing themselves into one massive conversation.

as the conversations were occuring in the kitchen, none of the members inside the kitchen were paying attention to the squeals, almost like cries for help from Bryce as he had been tackled down to the floor by his younger sister, Bryce once again forgetting that his sister was naturally a faster runner than him, the girl mentally thanking herself for being a track athlete during school.

eliza flicked her brother in the head as he had finally gave up on trying to fidget out of her hold, the boy wincing and shouting an 'ow' in response to a flimsy flick from his sister.

"eliza have you killed your brother yet?" the two hall siblings heard their mother shout from the other room, eliza sticking her tongue out at her brother as she let go of him, the older brother of eliza jumping up from the floor, him directing his attention now to his mother as he walked out of the room

"yet?! what do you mean has she killed me yet?"

"that's just it bryce, i was just simply asking if she had killed you? oh honey i did not know you were this dumb."

"okay mum that is enough." Lisa laughed at her son as he walked into the living room where the rest of the family were situated, waiting for eliza and bryce to finish fighting so christmas morning could officially start.

Eliza followed her brother out of the room she had tackled him into, the girl being met with her mother holding her hand out, awaiting to be given a high five from her daughter. eliza laughed, a smile on both hers and lisa's face as they gave one another a high five.

"sorry for the delay, if bryce hadn't woken me up by jumping on me, none of this would have happened." eliza announced to the Hossler family as lisa walked in behind her, the two taking their seats, lisa sitting on the sofa next to Amy and Bryce, Eliza sitting next to jaden on the floor beside the christmas tree.

"right who wants their presents first?" eliza asked the two families, of whom had become one massive family over the course of two days or so they had been together. The two mums had pointed to one another, both of them smiling at each other as Eliza leaned under the christmas tree, holding up some of the presents addressed to both Lisa and Amy, getting confirmation that they were from one another before handing the presents to them.

Eliza looked at the two mothers, the rest of the families doing the same, as they all grow intrigued as to what they had gotten one another. after insisting that Amy opened hers first, Lisa watched intensely as the first present of the hall and hossler family christmas was being opened.

"what do you reckon it is?" jaden whispered into his girlfriend's ear, receiving a shrug in response as Eliza leaned her head on Jaden's shoulder, the teenager wrapping his arm around the girls waist in response.

a faint gasp escaped amy's mouth as the wrapping paper revealed a jewellery box, eliza instantly smiling at her mother, lisa reciprocating the smile to her daughter, before focusing her attention back onto Amy.

amy opened the box, lifting up a necklace that Lisa described as being a 'family tree pendant necklace'. On the necklace, the pendants did resemble a tree, having both green and white coloured gold pendants on it, alongside golden pendants with each of the hossler families initials on it.

"oh lisa i love it." Amy exclaimed, pulling Lisa into a hug, a wide range of awes were heard from each and everyone in the room, Jaden squeezing his girlfriend's arm as he admired the friendship their two mums had developed. Jaden always knew that Amy and Lisa would get on like a house on fire, but it makes him feel better that they do actually get along so well to the point they wanted to spend christmas together, bringing the Hall and the Hossler family together.

After having given Amy her gift, it was now Lisa's turn to open her present, of which revealed to be small box, containing a similar sort of necklace to Amy's, instead just having the initials of Eliza and Bryce on the pendants. Other presents began to be handed out by Eliza and Jaden, receiving the creativeness of each of the presents that each members of the families had been given.

Eliza was the most surprised with Bryce's gift. The older brother of eliza knew how much she had loved criminal minds, so with that being said, the boy had gotten Eliza a box of files, that come as a subscription service that allows her to solve 'cases' and basically profile the serial killers just like they do in the show.

By eliza being surprised, actually meant the girl was on the verge of tears, her criminal mind fan girl shining through. Eliza had gotten her brother a wild variety of little things, such as a set of nerf guns. The reasoning for this gift was that Bryce had been complaining about Josh breaking and losing his nerf guns, the canadian boy refusing to replace them as he insisted he had not lost nor broken them.

so eliza said she would replace them, allowing the girl to have ideas for presents to give her brother for this moment in time.

After an hour of opening presents, most presents had been given to each of the people sat in the living room, except Jaden and Eliza.

much to Eliza's reluctance and not wanting to steal the spotlight, she wanted to give Jaden his presents during the middle of the present opening, but Jaden?

had other plans.

He insisted that he gave Eliza her presents at the end, as Amy and Lisa wanted to see how their input for ideas had played out for Jaden when having brought Eliza's presents. In addition to Amy and Lisa wanting to see the presents, Lisa had to record the process of eliza opening her presents for her group, as Jaden had secretly asked for Addison's and Kio's help in confirming what his ideas for his girlfriend.

"here's one of yours." Jaden announced to Eliza, the girl smiling as she took the present out of his hand. For some unknown reason, the girl began to feel anxious, not only to open Jaden's presents, but also to give her boyfriend his presents, as she always thought she hadn't gotten him enough.

Jaden could see the girl growing anxious as her hands began to shake as she struggled to open the surprisingly neatly wrapped present that had been presented to her.

After having gotten it open however, a smile crawled onto her face. The wrapping paper presented a box to the girl, engraved on the box it revealed,

'to eliza x'

Jaden waited impatiently as Eliza took her time opening the box, the teenager being eager to see his girlfriends reaction. Looking into the box, Eliza felt her heart warm. There inside the box was a necklace, nothing extravagant, nothing over the type, just a simple silver necklace with a 'j' pendant in the centre.

"took ideas from high school musical i see?" Eliza joked, Jaden shrugging his shoulders in response as eliza lifted up the necklace to show Amy and Lisa, alongside the rest of the family. Both mums gave Jaden a thumbs up, indicating to the teenager that he had done a good job. Eliza placed the box by her side, when Jaden picked it up again, handing it back to the girl that was now confused.

"there's more in there."

"more?" eliza exclaimed, Jaden laughing as he nodded his head, placing the box back into Eliza's hands, the girl growing intrigued as to what else was in the box.

It was then that Eliza saw a part of the box sticking up, of which allowed her to look under the velvet cushion that was holding the necklace. Under the velvet cushion, showed the teenager two folded pieces of paper, fuelling the girls curiosity once again.

Jaden couldn't contain his excitement at eliza unfolded the paper, her mouth dropping instantaneously.

"we're going to paris?! and universal!?"

writing about Christmas and presents makes me so excited to give people presents you have no idea!!

i am definitely a giver not a receiver

um but yeah

this chapter me feel single writing it
